CHAPTER 57
MEXICO CITY PRISON**
“Doris” Brittany muttered.
Doris just stood on her spot, staring at Brittany in shock. So Brittany is really out of prison.
“Have a seat” Brittany said.
Doris slowly sat down in front of her. She looked so unkempt and bruises could be seen on her face.
“I need you to tell me the truth and only the truth. Doris, you were once my personal maid and so I know you. Tell me what happened that night. Did you kll my father?” Brittany asked
Doris looked down as tears streamed down her eyes. She immediately cleaned them and told Brittany everything she knows about without leaving out any details.
“I swear Miss Brittany, I wasn’t the one who kílled Sir Oliver. I’m innocent,,, why I’m suffering for something that I didn’t do” Doris cried.
“It’s okay. I believe you, I just wanted to confirm my suspicions. Don’t worry, I promise I’ll get you out of this place but you have to be patient. This place isn’t a place to be weak, you have to toughen up. Can I count on you to be strong?” Brittany asked and Doris slowly nodded.
Brittany smiled shortly and nodded before standing up.
“I have to go now” Brittany said and Doris nodded.
“Thanks for believing in me miss” Doris said and Brittany nodded before leaving.
“So I was right. Hailey you’re biting more than you can chew… I need to make this thing snappy so I can be completely free. Then you’ll feel me but for now, let me focus on Aidan and Sandy.” Brittany said inwardly as she left.

AIRPORT**
Evan roughly parked his car and rushed to the airport. Many people were moving up and down so he searched for Ashley with his eyes.
He looked at the notice board and his eyes widened when he saw that the plane will leave in 5 minutes from now.
He ran to the entrance of the plane. People stared at him, wondering what’s happening but he didn’t give a dmn.
“Ashley!!!” He shouted when he saw her climbing the stairs of the plane.
Ashley turned back and her eyes widened when she saw Evan, breathing heavily.
“What are you doing here?” She asked loudly to his hearing.
“So you were about to leave without saying goodbye? Without pissing me off one last time” Evan asked sadly.
“You were about to leave without hearing me tell you how much I fking love you. I fell helplessly for you Ashley” Evan said and Ashley’s eyes widened in shock.
“Evan..”
“I know, you still love that guy but just give me a chance and you won’t regret it. I know I’m just a mere manager and you’re the most famous singer but just give me a chance” Evan said.
“Ashley we have to leave..” One of Ashley’s bodyguard said and she sighed.
She came closer to Evan an cupped his cheek.
“I’m sorry but I have to leave. If ever I comeback, know that I’m coming for you but if I don’t.. Please move on” Ashley said and kssed his nose then smiled sadly.
“Goodbye porcupine” She said and released him.
Evan stretched his hand and opened his mouth to speak but nothing came out. He slowly brought his hand down and sighed.
A drop of tear fell from his eyes as he watched her leave.

THE MORGAN’S**
Brittany applied her lip gloss and stood up. She was wearing a simple pink flare gown and she let her hair down.
“Mom..” Alex called, entering her room.
“Where are you going?” Alex asked.
“Have a little meet up to attend to” She said and looked at the time, she still had time before Nicholas arrived.
“Alex, come… We need to discuss” Brittany said and Alex came closer.
She carried him and placed him on her thigh.
“Alex,, I have a story to tell you and promise me that you won’t take it hardly” Brittany said and Alex nodded innocently.
Brittany took deep breaths before telling him everything in such a way that he could understand. Alex listened keenly, she could see the sad look on his face..
“So that’s everything you need to know about our family” Brittany concluded.
“So my dad is the man we saw at grandpa’s burial and he lied to you and left you all alone in that scary place and you gave birth to me there. Everybody thinks you’re a bad person that’s why you were sent to that scary place” Alex asked to be sure.
“Yes. That’s more like it” Brittany nodded.
Alex heaved out trying to act normal since he promised he won’t take it hardly.
“I hàte him..” Alex said and frowned.
“Alex… Don’t say that, you’re a kid and shouldn’t be feeling such emotion” Brittany tried to reason him.
“No mom! I hàte him and that old lady who came to my school. They made you cry and everybody who makes my mom cry,,, I hàte them” Alex said stubbornly.
Brittany didn’t know if she should smile or sigh. But she’s happy that Alex didn’t over react.
“Mom.. Promise me you won’t go back to that scary place” Alex pouted.
Brittany smiled and kissed his forehead.
“I promise” Brittany smiled and touched his hair.
She suddenly heard the car honk so they both went to the window and it was Nicholas. He as standing by his car with his hands in his pocket.
“But mom do you like Mr Nick? He’s always here” Alex suddenly asked.
“No! We’re just working” Brittany said.
“What about Mr Justin. He’s nice to you too” Alex asked and Brittany sighed.
She began having a rethink of why she named him after her grandfather because Alex was clearly behaving like an adult.
“I have to go now Alex. Promise you’ll go to bed by 8” Brittany said.
“I promise” Alex smiled widely.
Brittany kssed his cheek and dropped him down before leaving.
She got out of the house and Nicholas smiled immediately he saw her.
“Wow! You look great!” Nicholas said.
“Stop overreacting. It’s just a simple gown” Brittany said and got in the car.
“I’m just being honest” Nicholas chuckled and got in.
He began looking at her while smiling. Brittany raised a brow.
“What? Do I have dirt on my face?” Brittany asked.
“Nope! Just beauty” Nicholas winked and ignited the engine.
Brittany shook her head and smiled slightly as they drove off.
Justin who was watching them from the window sighed sadly and went in.
