LILLY’S RESTAURANT**
“Wow! It must be cool living with a star like Brittany” Rhett said as they watched the news.
“She’s so cool and nice though. I support her wholeheartedly in her revenge” Jessica said and kept her phone back..
Suddenly, Rhett’s phone began ringing.
“Oh it’s my mom..” Rhett muttered and picked up.
“Mom?” He smiled.
His smile slowly fell at what he’s hearing.
“What!!” Rhett exclaimed.
“I’m on my way..” Rhett said and hung up.
“What’s wrong?” Jessica asked.
“It’s my mom.. She convulsed again, she’s currently at the hospital” Rhett said.
“What!?”
“I need to go” Rhett said, wearing his jacket.
“I’m coming with you” Jessica said.
Rhett nodded and they both rushed out of the restaurant together.

“Mom!” Rhett exclaimed as he ran to the direction he was shown to with Jessica tailing behind him.
He opened the door and met the doctor checking up on Mrs Smith. She was still unconscious but her vitals were now stable.
Rhett exhaled out in relief.
“Mr Rhett Smith right?” The doctor said and Rhett nodded.
“Good thing the neighbors rushed her here before it got worse. Apparently she got a fracture on her left leg which she has been carrying for long. That fracture is the cause of her fever and if it isn’t treated earlier, I fear it will only make things worse. Maybe she won’t be able to use the leg in the few months coming” The doctor said.
Rhett sighed and nodded. He knows about it, that’s why he’s been working his @ss out so he can save up enough money for the operation.
“Okay doctor” Rhett nodded and the doctor smiled politely before leaving.
Rhett sighed and sat down next to Mrs Smith. He stroke her hair and kssed her forehead..
“I’m sorry Rhett” Jessica placed her hand on his shoulder..
“I was 12 when my father left us for another woman. Ever since then, my mom was the one doing everything.. She made sure I went to school like the other kids, she struggled and paid for my highschool and college fees. A month ago she got into an accident which fractured her left leg.. The doctor said we need to straighten the bone but the operation was too costly.
I took it upon myself to search for the money to sponsor her operation but the money I gathered so far is just enough to bill her out of here.” Rhett said sadly.
“I’m sorry” Jessica rubbed his back and sighed.

THE WHITE HOUSE**
“Ashley!!” Kenneth exclaimed when he came back home and went to see Ashley.
Her eyes were so red and puffy and her hair unkempt.
“What did you do to yourself? You’re lucky mom and dad went for a trip” Kenneth said and knelt down next to her.
He cupped her cheek, checking her out..
“Why must it hurt? Huh?” Ashley said as new rounds of tears came out.
Kenneth just stared at her in confusion.
“He told me that he doesn’t like me. That we can never be a thing… It hurts Ken!” Ashley cried.
Kenneth just hugged her, rubbing her back..
“I’m sorry Ash” He muttered and kssed her hair.
“I’m I not beautiful? I’m I so bad?” Ashley cried and hugged him more.
“Shh!, it’s okay. You can’t force love,, if he says so then you can’t do anything about it” Kenneth said softly.
“I hàte love” Ashley mumbled.

“Thought you said you and boss were just pretending?” Paisley asked as they both left the company.
It was closing time.
“Well it’s long.. I’ll tell you everything tomorrow” Brittany said.
They got out and met Justin by his car as usual..
“Looks like you have a lot of fans” Paisley wiggled her brows and Brittany shook her head.
“Catch you later! I don’t wanna interrupt the moment” Paisley said and eyed Justin.
“You’re loco!” Brittany said and Paisley laughed before leaving.
Brittany walked to Justin with a smile on her lips but Justin held a straight look on his face.
“What’s up Justin” Brittany smiled.
“Are you and Nick really dating?” Justin asked rather sadly.
“Huh? I see the news spreads rather too fast” Brittany smirked.
“Please answer me” Justin said softly and held her hand.
Brittany looked at his hand and then at his face..
“I have something I really wish to tell you Britt” Justin said and bit his lips.
Brittany just looked at him, waiting for him to talk.
“Britt I..”
“Babe”
They both turned their faces to Nicholas who had a rather cold look on his face. He came closer to them with his gaze not leaving Justin’s hand which held Brittany.
“Why are you holding my girlfriend like that?” Nicholas asked and looked at Justin.
“I just want to speak to her”
“So you now speak with the hand” Nicholas raised a brow.
He turned his gaze to Brittany..
“Come love, I’ll drop you home” Nicholas said.
“But she’s my neighbor. I’ll drop her home” Justin said.
Nicholas glared at him.
“And she’s my girlfriend” Nicholas said.
“And I’m her friend and she didn’t even agree to go with you. You can’t just order her around like she’s a slave” Justin frowned.
“You-”
“Enough!” Brittany said and removed her hand from Justin’s grip. She looked at the two of them and rolled her eyes before taking a taxi.
Nicholas glared at Justin who stood his ground.

THE MORGAN’S**
“Thanks, you can keep the change” Brittany said to the cab man and began walking to the entrance.
“What’s wrong with them?” Brittany frowned and opened the door.
“Mommy!!” She was welcomed with Alex’s voice.
Alex rushed and hugged her tightly..
“I love you mom!” He said happily.
Brittany smiled and picked him up..
“Wow, what’s happening?” Brittany chuckled.
“I saw the news with Granny. She told me that Mr Nick is my father!!” Alex said happily.
“What!!”
