CHAPTER 59
HAYES VILLA**
Brittany’s eyes widened.
Wait what did she just hear? Nicholas and Aidan aren’t related? How?
“That wasn’t what we planned dad…” Aidan said calmly now.
Xavier sighed and shook his head..
“Yeah you’re right. Our plan was you marry Brittany and then you inherit all my money but that’s not what I’m seeing” Xavier said.
Brittany furrowed her brow. Wait!, so everything she had with Aidan was just an agreement?
Xavier looked at Aidan then turned and left too. Aidan followed him behind.
“I wonder if he’s my real father too” He muttered.
Brittany got out of her hiding when she sensed they were gone. She really had a shocked expression on her face.
Brittany faced Xavier’s door and sighed. She was taking to long so she turned and went back to the dining room.
“Babe. You took quite long” Nicholas smiled and she just looked at him.
“Does he knows?” She wondered and settled down next to him.
During the rest of the dinner, Brittany was just silent.
“We need to go now” Nicholas said, cleaning his mouth before standing.
“Really? You can sleep over if you wish” Xavier said.
“No thank you” Brittany replied immediately.
“Oh okay, have a safe journey back home” Xavier smiled.
Nicholas ignored him and smirked at Aidan before leaving with Brittany. They both got into Nicholas’s car and Nicholas buckled his seatbelt.
He turned to Brittany and furrowed his brows.
“Brittany, are you okay. You seem distant” Nicholas asked and cupped her cheek.
“Uhh I’m good” She said and faked a smile.
“Oh okay. So hope you remember that tomorrow we’re traveling” Nicholas said and Brittany snapped her fave to him.
“Traveling? To where?” Brittany asked.
“Well the business trip to California. Wait, don’t tell me you forgot?” Nicholas asked and Brittany bit her lips.
“Then you have to start getting ready this night. I’ll send a car to come pick you up by 10 tomorrow” Nicholas said.
Brittany sighed and leaned on the car glass then nodded. Nicholas smiled and drove off..
“Nicholas…” Brittany suddenly called.
“Hum?”
“Why do you hàte your father? I mean, only Aidan did you dirty then why do you hàte your father” Brittany asked carefully.
Nicholas’s mood suddenly soured as he drove off. Brittany slowly looked front.
“If you prefer keeping it to yourself, I’ll understand” Brittany muttered.
“He never considered me as his son and never treated me as one. I can still remember all the times I tried to be the perfect son for him but it was all in vain. All what I got from him was hàte, beating. He’ll always spend his time praising Aidan for every little thing he does but for me that’s not the case. I kept hoping that one day he’ll show me some love till one faithful that he did something I’ll never forgive him for…” Nicholas said and stopped the car when he felt his eyes becoming misty.
“I hàte him with everything in me.. If klling wasn’t a bad thing then I swear Brittany,,, I’d have done that a long time ago” Nicholas gritted his teeth.
Brittany just watched him as tears fell from his eyes. One thing she understood from his words is that he doesn’t yet know that Xavier isn’t his father.
“Should I tell him?” Brittany wondered and bit her lips..
She held his hand, making him to look up at her.
“It’s okay… Whatever he did to you has been done, let’s just focus on the present and the future” Brittany said and cleaned his tears with her thumb.
Nicholas just stared at her as she did so. He slowly nodded.
“Yeah,, you’re right” He muttered and Brittany smiled shortly..
“Thank you” Nicholas muttered and Brittany simply nodded before looking out of the window.
Nicholas looked at her side view and smiled. He faced back the road and drove off..

MORNING, HAYES VILLA**
“Oh you’re going for the business trip too?” Xavier asked when he saw Aidan going to the exit with maids carrying his luggage.
“Yes dad” Aidan replied and turned to leave.
“C’mon let’s bury the feud okay? I’m ready to help you out of this mess you are in and I’m also ready to accept Sandy but under one condition” Xavier spoke.
“Which is?” Aidan raised a brow.
“You know what I’m talking about” Xavier smirked.
Aidan sighed and slowly nodded.
“I’ll do that”
“Good! You see?, life is so beautiful when we are on the same page” Xavier said and Aidan smiled slightly
“I need to go now dad.” Aidan said.
“Alright son. See you in 6 days” Xavier said and Aidan smiled before leaving..
Xavier leaned back on the couch and crossed his legs. He picked up his roll of weed and lit it then began smoking.
Suddenly, his phone began ringing. He picked it up and sighed when he saw the number.
“What do you want again?”
“C’mon don’t be like that Xavier” A lady’s voice sounded.
“How do you expect me to sound. You tricked me,, yunno if not for the relationship our parents had you would be buried six feet under by now” Xavier said and smoked on his weed.
“Yeah I know but this time, I had no choice than to trick you back then. You were so obsessed in marrying Brittany to Aidan back then” Hailey said..
He puffed out the smoke
“So the bag of marijuana you asked me years back. You used it to blackmail Brittany, you’re a bad stepmother you know that” Xavier smirked.
“Yeah I know…” Hailey Chuckled.
“So what do you want now?” Xavier spoke and brought back the roll of weed to his lips.
“It’s about your son…Nicholas” Hailey said and bit her lips.

THE MORGAN’S**
“Six days? That’s too long” Alex pouted as he watched Brittany pack her things in a big suitcase
“Yeah I know but it’s my job Alex. Don’t you want mommy to make huge sum of money so that I can buy you more gifts” Brittany tried to coax Alex.
“Well I’ll love that” Alex said.
“You see? Then mommy will have to go. Don’t worry I’ll call Granny everyday so I can see you” Brittany said and kssed his nose.
Earlier she already called Matteo to double the security around her family though she doubts that Hailey will make a move since she still has some proves to pin her in place.
“Okay mom, I understand. Have fun” Alex smiled.
Brittany nodded and hugged him tightly before pouring ksses on his face. That made him giggle and chuckle.
“I’ll have to go now” Brittany said and Alex nodded.
“Bye mommy” Alex smiled and waved.
Brittany blew him a kss before dragging her big suitcase out of the room.
She got outside and met Justin by his own door step. He smiled warmly at her..
“Hey Justin” Brittany smiled.
“Where are you heading to Britt?” Justin asked, noticing the suitcase with her
“Oh have some business trip to go to with my boss” Brittany said..
“Oh I see” Justin said and crossed to her own side of the house.
Only a small fence shorter that Alex separated their home.
“Have a safe trip Britt. I still do have something important to tell you but it looks like you’re running late so I’ll keep it till when you’re back. I’ll miss you” He smiled handsomely.
“Aww me too. Come here” Brittany spread out her hand and hugged him.
That took Justin by surprise but he just smiled. He placed his chin on her head as he hugged her back.
Nicholas who was standing by his car watching them frowned. He glared at Justin and sighed before entering his car so he won’t be able to see them anymore.
Brittany and Justine broke the hug and smiled at each other. Brittany looked at her side and was surprised to see Nicholas was already there.
“Oh that’s my boss’s car. Have to go, catch you in 6 days!” Brittany winked as she left.
Justin sighed and went his way.
“I didn’t notice you were here” Brittany spoke when she got in the car.
Nicholas ignored her. With a straight look on his face, he ignited the engine car and drove off.
Brittany just stared at him, wondering what’s wrong.

THE SMITH**
“I still do wonder who could be the person who paid all of my mom’s bill” Rhett said while arranging some clothes in a small bag.
Jessica bit her lips. Her hunch keeps telling her that it’s Ashley but what if she was hallucinating back then?
Well Mrs Smith’s operation was successful. Currently, she’s resting at the hospital. The two of them came back home to get what they’ll need before going back to the hospital.
“Mhm.. The soup smells delicious, can I taste it?” Rhett spoke and stood.
“No.. It’s solely for your mother” Jessica said.
Rhett smirked and stood up then came closer to her.
“Isn’t it funny? You cooking here in my house just like a wife usually do. At this rate my mom will start saying things” Rhett smirked.
“Just shut up will you? I’m doing all these for your mother” Jessica said, her concentration focused on the soup she was cooking.
“Why?” Rhett muttered and leaned closer to her ear from behind.
“Don’t you wanna be my wife?” He whispered.
Jessica’s eyes widened but it was just for some seconds as it went back to it’s original form.
“You’re beginning to flirt and seduce a lot these days. Tell me are you in your puberty?” Jessica said and Rhett laughed.
“Seriously? I’m not even doing anything and you say I’m seducing you and also you asked me to act normal.. To act like what you said to me few days ago was nothing” Rhett said slowly.
“Yeah but.. I didn’t say you should tempt me” Jessica said, pouring the soup in a flask.
“Done” She smiled and turned back.
A gasp escaped her lips when she saw Rhett standing right behind her. Her gaze went to his lips when he licked them.
He suddenly began leaning closer to her that she took a step back but she hit the drawer. Rhett brought his hands to her chin and lifted her head up, his gaze piercing into her.
He tilted his head to the side and slowly parted his lips, leaning more closer to her. His minty breath h!t her face, making her shudder.
Jessica slowly closed her eyes when she felt his nose brush against her. She gripped nervously on her gown, expecting his lips but..
“You see that’s what I call temptation and se.duction”Rhett whispered.
Jessica’s eyes flew open and she saw Rhett smirked as he pulled away.
“You see? I wasn’t even doing anything back then” Rhett said and stuck out his tongue.
He went to the cuch close the bag he was packing. Jessica gulped down nothing as a frowned settled on her face.
She began walking slowly towards Rhett with an undecipherable look in her face.
“Rhett… Tell me, have you ever been ràpped before by a girl?” Jessica asked.
“What? No” Rhett said and turned to her.
“Then I guess this will be your first time” Jessica smirked.
Before Rhett could even say another word, Jessica grabbed him by the collar and slammed her lips against his.
Rhett’s eyes widened.
