Chapter 53
Haris was seen sitting on a chair, looking at his phone or a picture.
Martin just rolled his eyes before tapping him on his shoulder, making him turn to look at him.
“Oh, Martin,” Haris called and took Martin by surprise as he hugged him, but Martin, being himself, didn’t reciprocate the hug.
There was this huge desire inside him to reciprocate the hug, but the stubborn part of him didn’t want to.
Martin was the one who called him because he wanted to know about Evelyn’s father, and he was really close to her, so he was sure he knew something about her father.
“So why did you call me?” Haris asked as he distinguished himself from the hug, and then they both sat down.
“Well, I just wanted… want to know about Evelyn’s father,” Martin said, and his expression changed. Haris scoffed but didn’t say anything.
“Martin, I cannot say anything about Evelyn’s father,” he said after a long silence, and Martin huffed.
“What do you mean?”
“Whatever thing you want to know about Evelyn’s father, she should be the one to tell you,” Haris said, and Martin just sighed.
He knew he was right, though Evelyn didn’t want to say anything about it.
“I tried talking to her, but she wouldn’t tell me anything,” Martin said, and Haris sighed.
“Well, give her some time. I’m sure she will tell you.”

“Where the h’ll are we going?” Evelyn asked as they entered the car, but Martin didn’t reply to her.
She checked her watch, and it was 2:30, probably not time for the party, so she didn’t understand where they were going right now.
Two cars followed behind, and two guards sat in the front seats.
“Martin,” she called, but Martin didn’t say anything. Instead, he made her sit on his lap.
“Martin,” she called softly, trying to stand up, but he didn’t allow her.
He placed his head on her chest, and Evelyn gasped as he lay on her chest.
He held onto her waist, pulling her closer to him until there was no space between them.
“Hmm, Martin, the men are looking at us,” she said, trying to get away from him, but Martin wouldn’t allow that.
“I don’t give a dmn about them, Eve,” he whispered in her ear and kssed her ear softly, making Evelyn shiver.
He was one of those men who didn’t care if people looked at them, one of those few men who didn’t give a dmn about people’s expressions or what they said about them.
He didn’t care what people said about him or Evelyn, but he sure didn’t care. He loved Evelyn so much, with everything inside and outside of him.
“Sir, we are here,” the driver said. When Evelyn looked outside, she discovered they were in a clothing mall.
“Hmmm, Martin, what are we doing here?” she asked, but Martin just ignored her.
The guards opened the door for him, and they both got out of the car.
“Seriously, are you going to answer me?”
“I am here to get you dressed for the party,” he simply replied. He walked into the mall, and she quickly followed behind.
She watched as he talked to a woman, then turned to look at her before winking, while she just rolled her eyes.
Martin sat down on the small couch, engrossed in his phone, while Evelyn shyly walked out of the dressing room.
He raised his head to look at her, and Evelyn sighed at the way Martin was staring at her.
It was a simple black short gown that stopped at her knee, exposing some of her chest. Evelyn felt really shy with the way Martin was staring at her.
“Next,” he said, still pressing his phone. Evelyn glared at him before moving back into the dressing room.
After a few minutes, she came out again, but Martin told her to change again.
She had already changed almost five times…
Martin raised his head as Evelyn emerged from the dressing room, and his eyes widened as he stared at her.
The dress was a pink gown that stopped below her knee. It had a floral design on the side and was torn on one side as well.
It made her look so pretty, so sexy and hot that Martin couldn’t stop staring at her.
“Hmmm, perfect,” he whispered, staring at her.
“Package everything and tell me the total,” he said to the salesgirl beside him, while Evelyn gasped in surprise.
She never expected him to buy all the clothes for her.
