Chapter 59
“How dare you kss my fiancé?” Martin yelled angrily, and another bI.ow landed on Alexander’s face.
“Martin, stop,” Evelyn tried to move closer to him, but the look Martin gave her made her stop in her tracks.
She was scared. She was really afraid of him right now and what he was going to do to Alexander.
Those memories of him beating Alex up in college suddenly came back to her, and fear overcame her.
She was so scared of what he was going to do right now.
Alexander stood up and tried to pvnch Martin, but Martin held him and landed a heavy pvnch on his face, which created a cvt on his lip.
He sat on his body and started pvnching him heavily. BI.ood started gvshing out of Alexander’s face.
“Martin, fking leave him alone,” Evelyn yelled and rushed toward him, trying to pull him away, but Martin pushed her away harshly, making her fall to the ground.
This is the reason why she had broken up with him.
The door opened, revealing three guards, and they quickly held Martin while he struggled to get out of their grip.
“You are going to regret ever kssing her,” Martin yelled angrily.
“Alexander,” Evelyn rushed towards Alexander, who was finding it hard to breathe.
“Fucking get away from him, Eve,” Martin shouted, trying to get out of their grip, but the guards knew better than to let him go.
The door opened, and Mr. Tom walked in. His eyes widened immediately when he saw the scene.
“What the fk! Call an ambulance.”
The couple sat silently inside the car, each angry with the other, especially Martin, who would not stop cvrsing and hitting the glass window, while Evelyn just stared out of the window, enjoying the cool breeze and lost in deep thought at the same time.
This was the reason why she had broken up with him. He had anger issues, he was over-possessive.
She knew what Alexander might have done was wrong, but that was not enough to beat up someone to death.
“I can’t believe you allowed him to kss you,” Martin said, anger visible in his voice, but Evelyn just kept quiet.
She was also dmn angry, and she didn’t want to say anything that would cause more problems.
“I am talking to you, Eve,” he yelled, turning her to look at him.
“Seriously, Martin, please let me be. You should know that I didn’t allow him to kiss me, and what if I did? Martin, you almost klled Alexander,” Evelyn fired at him, and he just shrugged his shoulders as if it meant nothing to him.
“He kssed you, Eve.”
“Martin, for once, accept your mistakes. What he did was wrong, no doubt, but beating him like that was not necessary.
I’m starting to wonder if you were once a gangster,” Evelyn said, and Martin scoffed, rolling his eyes at the same time.
“Eve, I am trying to change for you because you said you didn’t like my character.
You should be supporting me and not that fool,” Martin yelled, and Evelyn huffed. She stared at him and turned to the window.
“You know Alexander was going to be there, and that’s why you never allowed me to come with you,” Martin said, his face filled with anger, and Evelyn just stared at him, tears flowing out of her eyes already.
She hates it when she is accused of something she knows nothing about, and he is just doing that to her.
Martin’s face softened as he saw her tears. Her tears were one of his weaknesses. He hated seeing her cry so much.
He sighed and turned sideways, looking away from her.
It was already raining; the weather seemed unhappy as the couple stared out of the window silently, neither ready to talk to each other.
“We are here…” The driver could not complete the word when Evelyn rushed out of the car, running inside her small apartment, not minding the rain falling on her.
Martin just sighed, ruffling his hair in frustration.
“Let’s go,” he simply said, and the driver took off again.
