“Someone offered me something significant to ruin your relationship.
She promised to make me yours, Martin, and then give me a large sum of money, but I just couldn’t do it.”
“You aren’t the only man in the world, so why should I fight someone who is not fighting back because of you?” she said, looking at Evelyn.
“She wanted me to fake a pregnancy for you,” she continued.
“Maybe that might create a conflict between both of you, and it might ruin your relationship.
Then she would come into the picture like a savior to Martin, and then she would get rid of me,” Grace said.
“Do you, by any chance, know who Maria is?” she asked, and their eyes widened in shock.
“You know her. Then I’ll say you should be careful because, from the looks of things, she is damn obsessed with you,” Grace said, and Martin sighed.
“I can’t believe she is so desperate to be with Martin,” Evelyn said, and Grace chuckled.
“What do you think? He is handsome, rich, and popular. Obviously, she wants to be with him because of his background,” Grace said.
“And also, her father is involved in illegal activities, covering up his crimes by pretending to be a businessman.”
“What! How did you find out?”
“My brother Taylor told me about it since he knows everything about them.
He was even asked to kll Evelyn,” she said, and Evelyn gasped.
“It’s high time I put her and her father in their place, and I will need your help with that,” he turned to Grace, who frowned.
“What do you need my help with?” She asked, and Martin smirked.
“You’ll find out soon…”

“Oh my goodness, son. This is great news,” Mr. Parker said and hugged Martin, who just scoffed.
“I never said I’m going to marry her. I just suggested inviting them over for dinner,” he said, and Mr. Parker frowned.
“Be right back,” Mr. Parker said and walked upstairs.
“What on earth are you doing, son?” His mother asked, glaring at him.
“Mum, calm down. I’m not trying to marry her. I’m trying to show him the kind of family he’s forcing me to marry into,” Martin said.
“What does that mean, bro?” Charlotte asked.
“You’ll find out soon,” he smirked and walked upstairs.
“Welcome, Mr. Eric,” Mr. Parker said, and they both hugged each other.
“My daughter,” he kssed Maria’s cheek.
Mrs. Parker glared at them sternly, as did Charlotte.
“Mother,” Maria called and tried to hug Mrs. Parker, but she didn’t allow it.
“Baby,” Maria called and hugged Martin as he walked downstairs.
He didn’t push her, which surprised her, and a smile appeared on her face.
“Maybe he has realized his feelings for me,” she thought, smiling widely.
“Let’s eat already,” Mr. Parker said, and they all walked to the dining room.
“So why did you invite us for dinner?” Mr. Eric asked.
“Oh, my son was the one who invited you for dinner,” Mr. Parker replied, and Maria gasped. She turned to look at Martin and blushed.
“Do you want to marry my daughter now?” Mr. Eric said, and Martin scoffed.
