Chapter 139
“Martin, the hacker has cracked the real kller’s face, and it has been sent to me.
I will send it to you in a minute,” Mr. Cornor spoke through the phone.
“Okay, uncle. I will be expecting it,” Martin said.
“Although he asked for 800 dollars since the case was years ago, and it was hard for him to find it,” Mr. Corner said.
“I will pay him any amount.”
“Okay,” the call ended.
He sighed, pacing up and down, checking his phone to see if the message had already been sent to him.
Wondering where Evelyn is? She is downstairs having fun with Martin’s parents and Martin.
His phone beeped, and he quickly checked it.
He sighed and played the video.
A man dressed in a black hoodie walked into the hotel. He talked to the receptionist before entering the hotel.
The second scene showed where he entered the room, and the next thing that followed were screams.
“Please, I don’t have the money,” the female voice screamed, and almost immediately the sound of a gunshot was heard, making Martin freeze.
The man walked out of the room, and his face was fully revealed.
“It was truly him,” Martin gasped in disbelief as he looked at the video.
“And then you decided to frame him up for this. You are going to pay for this,” he clenched his fist.
“Everything okay?” Evelyn asked as she walked towards the room, and he quickly turned off his phone.
“Of course… why are you asking?” He faked a smile.
“Oh… I saw you clench your fist as I walked in,” Evelyn said, and Martin chuckled.
“I’m okay,” he replied, and Evelyn nodded and sat close to him.
“I really enjoyed my time with your family, especially Charlotte and your mom.
They are really nice to be with,” Evelyn said, smiling.
“Am I not fun to be with?” Martin raised his eyebrows, and Evelyn laughed softly.
“Nope. You are no fun at all. All you know about is… you know. How about we have some little fun?” Martin said, staring at her chest while biting his lips, and Evelyn scoffed. He tried to grab her, but she pushed him away.
“Don’t even try anything funny,” she warned in a serious tone, and Martin pouted his lips.
“Seriously, you are mean,” he said, and Evelyn laughed, hitting his chest playfully.
“Dmn, I am so tired,” she stressed her hand tiredly, and Martin smiled, staring at her.
He just wants to make her happy, and he knows one way to make her happy is to see her father by her side.
She turned to look at him, and they both smiled at each other.
“You are so pretty,” he ruffled her hair, and Evelyn blushed.
“You always say that to me. Don’t you get tired?” Evelyn said, smiling, and Martin scoffed.
“Why should I get tired of praising my woman?” Martin said, and Evelyn blushed even more.
“Hmm, I will go downstairs,” Evelyn said. Martin raised his eyebrows at her as she looked down nervously.
He knows she was shy already.
