THE NEXT DAY ?
“I want to come with you ken ,I am worried about my daughter,Kim said to ken who shook his head negatively to her words.
“You can’t come along Kim , it’s dangerous out there , and you need rest , don’t stress your self ,I promise to bring Karen home ,ken pleaded with Kim to understand the situation.
“I want to see my daughter ken and that’s all that matters your words don’t matter to me ,lat this point ,Kim replied stobbornly .
“Mom dad ,do you guys really have to do this now , Karen is out there waiting for our rescue ,we need to leave and dad you can’t stop us cause it’s our duty to bring her back home , everyone is waiting for both of you, hurry up already , Kathrine said and left their room .
They had returned home from the hospital that same night ,David had advised them to return home and keep the house in function , before he left with his family .
Now it was time for another search but ken refused to let Kim and Kathrine come along ,but Kim wasn’t going to agree with that and so did Kathrine who immediately got dressed and came to inform them about the others who were waiting.
“Fine let’s go,I suppose you won now ,ken said feeling defeated while Kim only smiled

FAST FORWARD
Soon they all arrived at the bridge , the same three helicopters from the other night were all set and ready ,as usual some cops stayed behind to block the road and also question people passing by .
Kimberly , Princess and Anastasia had to stay behind with the cops to keep an eye out , while Kathrine , Landon ,ken and David all left with the commissioner in the helicopter to find Ariel and Jerald .
One hour to search , a shore was spotted and on it was a bold formation of SOS, immediately the commissioner flew all the way there and landed there the rest of the cops in theirs also landed ,then a search , everyone divided in twos , Kathrine and Landon ,ken and commissioner , David and a cop ,also the rest divided in twos as well , and they all set out ,in search for Ariel and Jerald.

“Good morning ,did you sleep well , Jerald asked Ariel who had woken up .
“Yeah I did ,all thanks to you for your courtship , Ariel replied.
“You welcome ,I already fetched something for us to eat ,but before that ,come with me to the river bank at other side so you could have your bath ,I am sure before nightfalls someone will save us , Jerald said.
“Oh I didn’t think,just felt really lazy you should , Ariel and Jerald chuckled .
“To be sincere I have no idea you are lazy ,how many hours of sleep .
“Don’t blame it’s the baby ,I guess I haven’t been pregnant before ,but an sure that’s why i am feeling this way.
“Alright miss ,get up and go have your bath ,do you breakfast .
“It’s not really breakfast you know ,it’s just fruits which is unhealthy .
“Really that all nature can give us now , don’t worry things are gonna get better , enough talking now get and go have your bath .
“Wait I don’t have anything to wear , Ariel complained , Jerald groaned inwardly.
“Put your clothes back on ,you understand our situation you shouldn’t be asking , Jerald replied making Ariel roll her eyes .
“Fine I will go take my bath , don’t you dare try to peep, Ariel said with utmost seriousness , Jerald raised his hands up in surrender .”I definitely won’t do that,he replied.
“Good see you later ,she said and left .
Jerald nodded ,he blushed slightly reminiscing how she stayed glued to him all night ,that he couldn’t breathe properly ,her closeness made him feel strange ,at some point he thought he would throw up due to how uncomfortable his stomach rumbled.
*Weird *,he thought .

Thirty minutes later Ariel returned looking more clean than she was before ,but she was still in her dirty hospital wear ,which felt irritating to her .
“Finally you are back ,took you that long, Jerald said in relief.
“I didn’t take that long okay ,I just went for some scrubbing , that’s it I am a lady I don’t know how long guys take anyways ,stop complaining let’s have breakfast .
“As you wish my queen , Jerald replied Ariel looked at him in atonishment and blushed hiding her face from his view.
“Urmm you know that’s pretty visible ,no need to hide , Jerald said making Ariel blush harder than before her face turned crimson red .
“What’s pretty visible she asked , pretending to no know nothing.
“You blushing ,it’s not something you should hide it makes you look more cute ,he replied with a smile showing out his dimples .
“Oh my God, Ariel groaned as her face turned red again .
Jerald only chuckled seeing her condition ,it gladened his heart seeing her like that .
“You look like a tomato now ,he said causing both of them to laugh ,not until he heard faint footsteps .”shhhh,he said quitely placing his index finger on her lips .
“I thinking someone is coming , Jerald said and Ariel’s eyes widened .
He slowly took his hands away ,he then stood up slowly as he head for where the sound was coming from, Ariel held him back immediately wearing a worried face .
“Where do you think you are going ,what if it’s a wild animal ,you can’t just leave like that ,I don’t agree with that .
“Stop it Karen this isn’t the time for your complains ,if that thing approaching is a wild animal we both will be dead if I sit here ,just stay quiet I will do the rest , Jerald said but Ariel was still yet not convinced ,she wasn’t really going with his reply.
“No ,I don’t agree with you going all by yourself ,i suggest we go together or just sit here and wait , Ariel replied stubbornly.
“Please Karen understand me ,it’s dangerous , just sit here while I find out what is approaching us , Jerald said but Ariel still didn’t agree .
“Please don’t go Austin ,I am scared ,she cried .
Jerald cleaned her tears ,he’s heart melted upon seeing her tears ,but it was for her own safety ,he doesn’t really know how to explain any of these things all he knows is that he is drawn to this girl and will do every thing in his power to protect her .
“Stop crying already ,I am not going that far ,it’s near by okay ,just wait for me , Jerald said and hugged Ariel who seemed to relax a bit.
She finally let him go and he was thankful to her ,he stood up grabbed his shirt and placed it on as he went in search of who owned the foot steps ,a helper or a wild animal.
Ariel sat anxiously waiting for Jerald to return ,he had just been gone for two minutes but it felt like forever ,she got up restlessly and was about to take a step when she heard a loud gu.nshot .
She screamed in fright , and the thought of Jerald being shot ,she immediately took to her feet running towards the direction of the gunshot ,her mind was completely blank as all she could think of was Jerald being hurt ,she bumped into a figure making both of them land on the ground.
“Karen is that you ,the person Ariel had bumped into who turned out to be Kathrine said .
“Kathrine , Ariel called as tears poured freely from her eyes .
“Karen ,you are okay , what happened to you , Kathrine asked but Ariel wasn’t in the mood to answer questions , only Jerald occupied her mind.
“Where Austin ,where is he ,I heard a gunshot ,who fired it , please help me find him , Ariel cried helplessly.
“Who’s Austin , Kathrine asked confused.
“He’s the guy that saved me ,we need to find him Kathrine please let’s go , Ariel said in a hurry and began to run in a fast pace.
“Take it easy Karen , Kathrine yelled from behind chasing after Ariel .
Ariel ran as fast as she could not even listening to what Kathrine was talking about,she came to a pause when she saw Jerald holding his arm which was bIeeding .
He had been mistaken for a wild animal and was shot by one of the cops ,but he was about to get treated when Ariel arrived ,he had actually directed Kathrine to where she would find Ariel .
“Austin , Ariel called running towards him ,she looked at his arm feeling guilty ,she was the cause .”I am sorry,she appologized.
“Don’t cry Karen ,I have told you not too ,that was minutes ago , and now you are crying again , Jerald said cleaning her tears cupping her cheek with his bIood stained hand,but they both didn’t care.
Ariel smiled , seeing how cheerful he was even as he’s arm wad bIeeding .
“Karen , Ariel heard her dad’s voice from behind and turned to see him with some other people.
“Dad , Ariel said called shedding more tears .
“Austin ,what happened to your arm , David said rushing towards Jerald , who smiled in return .
“He got shot by accident dad , that’s why I came to get you guys ,first aid is on its way , Landon said.
Jerald wasn’t really paying attention to what was happening ,he kept staring at Ariel who was in a family hug ,he had never felt this relaxed before just by staring at her smiling face.

“Thank God you are alright Karen I don’t know what would have happened if something wrong happened to you , Kimberly said holding Ariel’s hands firmly.
“I am sorry mom for leaving like that and making you all fell do restless ,I feel bad for doing that ,I am really sorry, Ariel appologized.
“Its fine dear ,I am happy you are here with me now and have made a good decision by keeping this baby ,I am proud of you , Kimberly replied.
“Thanks mom , and also to Austin he actually advised me and made me feel the importance of this baby in our lives ,I can’t thank him enough, Ariel said and Kimberly nodded in agreement.
“Yes ,we do owe him gratitude ,come on let’s go see how he’s doing ,Kim said and held Ariel’s hand as they both left for Jerald’s ward.
