Episode 42
I got caught up with something important. Please find it in your heart to forgive me.”
He remained silent for a moment, then took a deep breath.
“Well,” he continued, “I will overlook that. However, I have an important announcement to make.”
I looked up at him, curious. What could it be?
“I want you to prepare yourself because you will be getting married to Rana tomorrow,” he dropped the bombshell, and my mind started spinning.

Zosar’s Perspective:
I scoffed and looked at Rana, who was uncontrollably smiling.
“Married?” I repeated with a cringe, finding the whole thing perplexing.
“Yes, Zosar. Both of you are getting married. So, I want you to make preparations, and the royal household is already taking care of it.
Despite the short notice, it’s going to be a grand celebration,” he enthused.
What on earth?
This can’t possibly happen. I can’t get married.
I looked at my mother, and evidently, she was pleased. Then, I turned to my father.
“Can I talk to you privately, father?” I demanded, keeping my gaze low.
“Leave us,” he said, referring to my mother and Rana, and they promptly left.
“What is this about, Father?” I asked as soon as we were alone.
“Why do you want me to marry Rana?”
“It has always been destined to happen, Zosar. We were just waiting for the right time to tell you,” he replied, leaving me even more confused.
So, Rana was right all along?
“You shouldn’t find it difficult to marry her, Zosar,” he continued.
“I mean, Rana is a princess. She’s beautiful, lovely, polite – she possesses all the qualities of a perfect wife. So, you shouldn’t feel resentful.”
“Well, I don’t like her!” I said coldly.
“She might be attractive and all, but I don’t like her, Father. I have my own choice.”
“Listen to me, Zosar, this isn’t a situation where you can say no. This marriage is meant to strengthen the relationship between our kingdoms.
Moreover, Rana has informed her father about the numerous times you’ve had intercourse with her.
She made it seem like you’ve been using her, and you know King Rowan – he doesn’t tolerate anyone mistreating his children.
He wants you to take responsibility for what happened. This marriage has to happen.”
“Rana and I are just friends! And as for the intimate part… damn it! I never forced her – not even once!
She willingly engaged in it with me, Father, and we both agreed that there were no ro.mantic feelings involved. So, she has no right to accuse me of anything.”
“Zosar!” He called out authoritatively.
“That’s enough of this argument. You are getting married to Rana, and that’s final! The preparations are already underway, and King Rowan and his family will be arriving here tonight. You are dismissed.”
I stared at him silently for a long moment. My entire being was engulfed in anger.
Then, I turned around and left.

Zoey’s Perspective:
I tossed and turned in bed before finally opening my eyes.
Hmm! What a long and peaceful sleep.
I sat up, clutching the duvet to my chest, and memories of last night came rushing back.
Oh my God!
I lost my vrgnity! I couldn’t believe I had truly been deflowered! Geez!
I looked at the bed and noticed the stain. The pain was also there, throbbing between my legs.
Ouch! It hurt so bad. I never expected to lose my innocence so soon.
Using the duvet as a cover, I got out of bed and headed to the bathroom to bathe and change. I felt damaged down there.
I stepped into the bathroom, dropped the duvet on the floor, and turned on the shower.
Hmm. Just what I needed – a refreshing bath.
I ran the soap all over my body and cleansed my skin, and as I did, I couldn’t help but recall Zosar’s touch on me last night.
The sensations were still vivid, making it feel as if they were happening in that very moment.
I reminisced about his breath, his moans, intimacy, and everything else.
He’s the first person to have ever done all of that with me, and I suppose that’s why I can’t stop thinking about it.
Although, I must admit that I also felt quite embarrassed.
