Episode 46
Zosar’s getting married. And once I put to bed, I’ll hand the baby over to them and walk away – fulfilling my duty as a baby carrier.
I know that was the plan, but all of a sudden, I just felt used and dumped.
“Ma’am, are you done?” The guard came knocking on the door, and I snapped out of my thoughts.
“Yeah – I’ll be with you shortly,” I replied and sniffed again.
Then, I dried my face and reached for the door. I met the guard who was already waiting outside, and he led me to the wedding hall.
The hall was big and filled with many people of high personalities.
I mean, I couldn’t even find a single commoner in there except for the maids who stood at a fixed point.
Everyone was in position, awaiting the couples.
The King was on his throne and the Queen beside him. Hm. This was my first time attending a royal wedding, and I must say it looks…classic.
Too bad I couldn’t enjoy the moment.
Not long after, the couples came walking in, next to each other.
I felt a sense of wonder in my eyes as I gazed at Zosar.
He appeared exceptionally attractive, and I noticed they both wore a ribbon around their necks.
Memories of the moments we had spent together flooded my mind, and I struggled to comprehend that he was the same person getting married.
They continued walking slowly, and when they reached my location, our eyes met – Zosar and I.
It was a fleeting moment of connection as he walked past me with his bride, and eventually, they halted before the priest.
At that moment, the king stood up.
“Finally,” the priest began.
“The time has come. As we all know, we are gathered here to witness the union of our beloved crowned Prince and Princess Rana.”
Smiles spread across the faces of the attendees, and I bowed my head, fighting back tears.
“Now, let us proceed…”
“Wait,” I suddenly heard Zosar say, and I lifted my head to see what was happening.
The priest paused, glancing at him, while everyone held their breath. Why did he ask for a pause?
To everyone’s surprise, Zosar removed the ribbon from his neck and threw it to the ground, eliciting gasps from the crowd.
What??
“Zosar!” the queen exclaimed in shock.
“I apologize, but I cannot marry Rana,” he said boldly, intensifying the suspense.
“I cannot marry her because I am in love with someone else,” he revealed, casting his eyes towards me, causing my legs to tremble.

Zoey’s Perspective:
My eyes widened in shock as the rest of the people in the hall gasped in response.
What?? What’s Zosar doing??
“My…My prince” the priest stuttered.
“What are you talking about?”
He took his eyes off me and looked at the priest.
“I said…I can’t proceed with this marriage because I don’t love Rana” he said again, and a tear ran down Rana’s cheek.
“Zosar…” She called and tried to hold his hand, but he pulled away.
“I’m sorry, father. I’m sorry, mother. I’m sorry for all the disappointments.
But I simply can’t marry her” he said icily and walked away, ignoring the stares from people as he did.
“Zosar!” The Queen called, but he didn’t stop to acknowledge anyone.
Oh my God! What did he just do? Who is he in love with?
The hall became noisy instantly, and Rana was the first to run out in tears.
Hours Later.

Zosar’s Perspective:
I opened the door and entered the room to meet mother and father, who had requested to see me.
The news was still circulating throughout the entire city – Princess Rana was dumped by her fiancé right at the wedding hall.
Well, they wouldn’t blame me. I told them I wasn’t interested in Rana.
I entered the room and found them both looking furious.
“Mother…” Before I could finish my statement, father slapped me hard across the face. Mother winced a little.
Well…that was expected.
“You shameless brat!” He snapped, pointing his finger at me.
“How dare you bring shame to this household? How dare you??”
I remained silent.
“Did you really have to be so foolish, huh? Did you?? How could you dump Rana in front of everyone??”
“I’m sorry, father, but you can’t blame me. I told you I wasn’t interested in her, but you tried to force it on me,” I replied, and he landed another slap on my face.
The only thing saving him is the fact that he’s my father!
