Episode 47
“Tell me what’s wrong with getting married to Rana! Huh?? What’s wrong?” He yelled.
“Do you know the consequences of what you just did?
You’ve just ruined my relationship with her father, and he’s likely to seek revenge. What happened to your senses, Zosar? What???”
I lowered my head and tried to control my anger.
“Who are you in love with?” Mother asked for the first time, and I looked at her.
“Is it Zoey?”
My eyes dimmed immediately, and I quickly averted them to the floor.
“Is she the one? Tell me, Zosar!” She insisted, but I didn’t utter a word.
“Listen to me very carefully,” Father continued.
“You’re going to make peace with Rana. You’re going to beg her and tell her you made a grave mistake because the wedding must go on.”
What?
I flinched and looked at him.
“Father? What are you…”
“Don’t question me, Zosar! Just do as I say! No matter what, you’re marrying Rana, and that’s final.
So, you better go look for her and apologize to her.”
“Never!” I said angrily.
“I can apologize to her, but we’re never getting married.”
“Zosar!” Mother called.
“I’m sorry, mother, but I’m not a child anymore. You can’t just make such decisions for me.
I apologize if I’ve disappointed you, but I can’t get married to Rana,” I stated angrily and started towards the door.
“Zosar!” Father called, and I turned to look at him.
“You wouldn’t want to create a conflict between both of us,” he said.
I gave him a stern look and walked out of the room.
I think it’s time for me to make a decision. If they really want to force me, then I’m afraid they’ll have to lose their only son.

Zoey’s POV:
I paced back and forth in the room, still thinking about the morning incident.
Zosar’s words echoed in my head.
“I’m in love with someone else.”
Oh, God!
I stopped walking and sat on the bed.
Who could it be? And why was he staring at me at that moment?
The kss… I suddenly remembered the kss.
No! Just because he kssed me doesn’t mean he loves me, right? Of course not.
But who could he be in love with? Is it possible he has a secret lover somewhere?
Who could it be? Gosh! I was extremely curious.
Suddenly, the door opened abruptly, and I turned in shock.
Huh? It was him! Zosar!
I jumped to my feet immediately.
“Zoey…” He called and moved closer to me.
“Zo… Zosar,” I stuttered helplessly, and he held my hand.
“I want you to come with me. We don’t have much time,” he said hastily and started leading me towards the door.
Huh?
“Wait!” I stopped him.
“Wh… Where are you taking me? Where are we going?” I asked, and he sighed and faced me.
“We’re leaving this place, Zoey. I want us to elope together,” he replied, and my lips dropped open.
What?

Zoey’s POV:
I looked at him in shock.
What? Elope?
“Zoey,” he called tenderly. “Come on, we don’t have much time. We really need to leave now, please.”
“B… But…” I stuttered and scoffed. “Why do we need to leave? I mean… Why with me?”
“Because I need you, Zoey! Okay? I can’t get married to Rana because I’m… I’m in love with someone else.
I’m in love with… with you. But my parents are trying to force me on Rana, so I have to leave, and I can’t leave you behind.
“So, please, Zoey, stop questioning me and just come with me. Please,” he rushed his words, leaving me completely shocked.
Did he just say…
Oh my God!
He held my hand and proceeded out of the room with me, and this time around, I couldn’t even stop him because my mind was filled with different thoughts.
He took me through the passage, and on our way out, we bumped into some guards.
“My prince,” they called and looked at us.
“Are you going somewhere, my prince?”
“Yes,” he replied coldly and tried walking past them, but they stood in his way.
“I’m sorry, my prince, but your father wants you to stay in your room,” another guard said.
“Well, unless I’m a prisoner, I’m not staying in my room.
And if I were you, I wouldn’t even try to stop me,” Zosar said and immediately walked past them, still holding my hand.
I felt so scared and nervous.
He walked quickly with me, and as soon as we reached his car, he urged me to get in, and I did.
He took the driver’s seat, started the car, and we left the palace immediately.
