Aileen heard voices in the living room. She was in the kitchen and making Yana’s milk.
Aileen put down the spoon that she used to stir the milk. She then picked up the glass and brought it to the living room, but her footsteps came to a stop when she saw a man in the living room. The man is embracing Yana, but he doesn’t look like Drake.
Aileen continued to walk. This time, she tried to peek to the man’s face who was embracing Yana. She can only see half of the man’s face but she can still recognize him.
Aileen’s body trembled just thinking that this man looked like her son.
Aileen tensed up and she unintentionally dropped the glass of milk that she was holding.

Kira and Tim were startled when they heard a shattering sound of glass, they automatically turned behind them.
“Auntie!” Kira blurted out when she saw Aileen. But then, she knitted her brows when she noticed her pale face.
“Auntie, are you alright?” Kira asked as she took a step towards Aileen.
Aileen seems like not to hear Kira, her gaze was fixed on Tim. She did not dare to blink, afraid that Tim might suddenly go.
Nineteen years.
It’s been nineteen years since she saw him that close. A lot has changed in his physical appearance, her son is a grown-up man already. He has a strong physique unlike the thin young man nineteen years ago.
He had grown up to be a good looking man, just like his father.
And most of all, he already has his own family. A lot of things happen without her on his side, she wasn’t there during his ups and downs. He got married on his own and without knowing it, she has been with her daughter-in-law and grandchild for four years.
Aileen stepped forward to Tim, her gaze never left him even though tears have started to form in her eyes.
“Auntie?” Kira called Aileen, but Aileen seems like she was hypnotized by Tim, she seems like she didn’t see anybody but Tim.
Tim stood still in his place. It’s like someone has nailed his feet on the ground and he couldn’t move. He stared at the woman walking towards him and hatred arises from the bottom of his heart.
Aileen stopped just a few inches away from Tim. She slowly lifted her trembling hand and touched Tim’s face, tears started to flow from her eyes, “My son…” she mumbled as she touched Tim’s face.
Kira just watched Aileen approaching Tim, She thought that Aileen might just remember her son to Tim..
Kira was stunned when Aileen touched Tim’s face, she can see her longing for her long lost son.
Kira gulped! ‘Wait, what is going on here?’
‘Auntie seemed so touch by Tim’s presence!’
“My son…”
Kira’s eyes went wide opened when she heard Aileen called Tim her son.
‘She called Tim her son, maybe she missed her son so much!’ Kira thought. she stepped towards Aileen to tell her that Tim wasn’t her son, but her footsteps automatically stop when Tim suddenly spoke!
Aileen let her tears flow, she couldn’t help it. She felt so happy now that she can touch her son. Aileen smiled, but her smile instantly faded when Tim swiped her hand away from his face, “How could you call me, son?” Tim asked sarcastically.
“Do you know how much trouble you made after leaving us? My marriage to Kira was almost ruined because of you!”
Aileen’s shoulders shook as she cried harder when she heard Tim’s words.
Kira, on the other hand, was shocked!
‘Wait! This is not just a sort of drama!’
‘Tim is her son?’ Kira couldn’t believe what she heard.
She was with her mother-in-law al this time, and the person that auntie Aileen has been looking for is my husband.
But wait, why is she blaming her mother of our almost ruined marriage?
“Kira,”
“Yes!” Kira instantly snapped back to her senses when she heard Tim called her. She blinks her eyes a few times as she turned her gaze to him.
“Why is this woman is here?” Tim asked coldly.
Kira was not able to respond instantly, she was shocked by Tim’s attitude towards her mother, he seems to hate her.
“Uhm,” Kira gulped before she continued to speak,” S-She was the one that I wanted you to meet,” she said nervously.
“I am not interested in meeting her,” Tim said without looking at Aileen.
“T-Tim…” Kira is almost speechless, she can see the hatred on Tim’s eyes.
“I have to go,” Tim doesn’t want to stay in that place any longer, He turned to Yana, he kneeled and talked to the little child, “Baby, Nice uncle has to go, alright?” He said.
The innocent Yana just nodded her head.
Tim kissed the child’s cheek before he got up and turned to Kira, ”I couldn’t stay any longer, I have to go,” He said before turned and walked out fo the door, he did not even spare a glance at Aileen.
Kira was left stunned inside the apartment, so as Aileen.
Aileen slumped on the floor, she covered her face with her palm and continued to cry.
Kira snapped back to her senses, but she doesn’t know what to do, whether to chase Tim or to console Aileen.

Tim drove his car as fast as he could. What an unexpected encounter with his mother. She was with Yana and Kira all this time?.
Tim drove straight to the mansion, he headed straight to his late father’s bedroom. He pace back and forth and restless.
After a while, he picked up his father’s photo on the picture frame. “Dad, she’s back,” He mumbled, “She’s back but I don’t know how to face her, I have a lot to say to her but I don’t know how to start. I want to shout into her face why the h’ll she left us for another man? Where was she when I needed her most? If not because of her, you might have not gotten into an accident that cost the lives of Kira’s parents.” He said to himself.

Kira approached Aileen and helped her to get up from being slumped on the floor.
“Auntie,” Kira called in a faint voice.
Yana silently watched Aileen with her innocent eyes. She then approached her grandmother on the sofa and wiped her tears with her little hand., “Granny is crying?” Yana asked innocently.
Aileen looked at Yana, she embraced her so tightly as her shoulders shook due to crying. No wonder why she felt so close to this kid since she was born, she is her grandchild.
“Oh, how did I not know that you are my grandchild?” Aileen mumbled with her teary eyes.
Aileen looked up to Kira, “No wonder I feel so close to the both of you,” She said meaningfully.
Kira pressed her lips and embraced Aileen.
“I just don’t know what to do to get his forgiveness,” Aileen said after a while.
Kira doesn’t know what to say, she just stroked Aileen’s back, hoping to make her feel a little better.

The next day, Kira went to Tan Corporation. She entered the building and approached the receptionist.
“Good morning,” Kira greeted the receptionist.
“Good morning, ma’am, how may I help you?” The receptionist asked politely.
“Is Mr. Tan in his office?” Kira asked.
“Yes, ma’am,” The receptionist replied as she looked at Kira from head to toe, “Do you have any appointment with him, ma’am?” The receptionist asked.
“No, but I want to talk to him,” Kira replied.
“I’m sorry ma’am, but you have to do an appointment with him first,”
“Just tell him that Kira is —”
“Missus!”
Kira’s next words were stuck in her throat when Coby suddenly spoke behind her.
The receptionist was stunned when she heard Coby called the woman a Missus!.
Coby approach Kira.
“Hey, Coby,” Kira greeted Coby.
“Good morning, Missus,” Coby greeted back.
The receptionist looked at Kira, Assistant Coby sounds so respective to this woman,
Coby looked at the receptionist, “Miss Zia, this is the CEO’s wife, so, you should treat her with respect as the CEO,” Coby said to the receptionist.
The receptionist’s eyes went wide opened, “Ooooooh!”
“I’m sorry if I did not recognize you, ma’am!” Zia instantly apologized.
There are already a lot of employees at that time and they heard what Coby said. The people around have a different reaction.
There are some who looked shocked, and there are some in a puzzled expression, probably, they are expecting Dana to be the CEO’s lover, but now, they suddenly learn that the CEO is already married.
(A/N: They keep their marriage a secret except for the people who are close to them and Kira’s co-teachers.)
Kira smiled at Zia, ” It’s alright,” She said before she turned her gaze to Coby, “Could you bring me to your boss?” She asked.
“Of course Missus!” Coby replied, “This way please,” Coby gestured Kira the way to the elevator.
Kira walked towards the elevator, she can feel the gaze of the employees but she doesn’t care.
Coby and Kira rode in the elevator, in just a few minutes, they reached the floor in Tim’s office.
Coby walks to the door a few steps away from the elevator, Kira followed, Coby lifted his hand and was about to knock but Kira stopped him “Just let me do it,” She said.
Coby tilted his head to Kira, “Alright ma’am,” He said, ” I shall take my leave now,”
Kira nodded her head as a response.
Coby left after getting Kira’s response.
Kira walked closer to the door, she lifted her hand and knock on the door, three times.

Tim was busy reading a document when he heard a knock on the door.
“Come in!” Tim said with his eyes fixed on the documents.
Tim heard the door opened, he thought that it was just Coby, so, he did not bother to lift his gaze.
Kira closed the door, she walks towards Tim’s table who was busy reading documents.
“Can I disturb you, hubby?”
Tim instantly lifted his gaze when he heard Kira’s voice.
He was stunned for a second, “Hey, sweetheart!” He blurted out. He got up from his seat and approached Kira, ” I didn’t know that you’re coming!” He said.
“Come and have a seat!” Tim grab Kira in her wrist and brought her to the couch.
“Why did you come?” He asked as soon as both of them sat down.
Kira took a deep breath, ” I came to talk to you about aun—” Kira paused as if she remembered something, “No, I mean, I came to talk about, mother-in-law,” Kira said.
Tim froze…
“Tim, why did you treat her like that? Why seemed to hate her?” Kira asked.
“Because she left me and dad for another man,” Tim replied straight forward.
“My dad was so down when she left, all he did was drunk which leads to the accident that costs your parent’s lives. Our marriage was almost ruined because of that, and everything happened because of my mother’s unfaithfulness towards my dad.”
Kira was silent for a moment, she’s trying to find the right words to say.
“Tim, everybody makes mistakes,” She said after a while.
“Your mother has longed for you for nineteen years,” She added.
“Ha!” Tim let out a short yet sarcastic laugh, ” She shouldn’t have left me and dad,” he said.
“But, Tim, did you not think that everything happens for a reason?” Kira asked.
Tim froze, he looked at Kira, “What do you mean?” He asked.
“If your mom did not cheat on your dad, and if that accident did not happen, do you think your father will let you marry me?” Kira asked which made Tim fell in deep thoughts.
“We both knew that my family is not rich, do you think he will let you marry a poor woman like me? Our almost ruined marriage only made our love stronger. I know, to forgive someone is not easy, I’ve been there, but Tim, you should give her a chance while she’s still here in this world. Why won’t you open up your heart for forgiveness?”
Tim stared at Kira for a while.
“You know why I love you so much?” He suddenly asked.
“H-Huh?!”
Tim lifted his hand and ??r?sses Kira’s hair, “It’s because you have such a kind heart,” He said.

Tim agreed to meet his mother.
In the VIP room in a restaurant, Tim and Aileen are sitting face to face. Tim was sitting there like no one was around him while Aileen was anxious.
Aileen rubbed her palms with her head lowered, she felt nervous. She was thankful that Tim agreed to meet her, but now, she doesn’t know where to start.
“Are we just going to sit here all day?” Tim asked emotionless which made Aileen froze.
“I-I’m sorry,” Aileen said.
Tim just looked at his mother in a blank expression.
“I-I know, what I did was wrong and I regretted it,” Tears started to fill Aileen’s eyes. “But I am asking you for a second chance,”.
“If you regretted what you did, why didn’t you come back?” Tim asked, still in his cold expression.
Aileen lifted her gaze and stared at her son, “Because I was so ashamed of what I did, I don’t have enough courage to come back,” She said.
“Your apology is too late,” Tim said, “Dad is already gone,”
Aileen lowered her head again,
” Did you know who Kira is?” Tim asked.
“She is the daughter of the couple who died because of the accident that was caused by dad,” Tim continued.
Aileen automatically looked up to Tim with her stunned expression, “W-What?!” She blurted out.
“He was so down when you left us for another man, all he did was drunk until that accident happened because he was too careless, driving while drunk. Have you imagined the damage that you’ve caused? Why wasn’t he enough for you? Why did you have to leave us?”
“I’m sorry, ” Aileen couldn’t think of any other words to say!
“I don’t know if I will be able to forgive you,” Tim said which made Aileen lost her hopes..
“But,” Tim spoke again.
“I will still try, for the sake of my family,” Tim added.
Aileen’s expression slowly changed.
“R-Really?!” She blurted out.
“I don’t want to be a bad example to my child, I don’t want Yana to think that her father is a cruel person for not giving his mother a chance to be forgiven,” Tim said.
“T-Thank you!” Aileen said in happiness.
Tears started to flow from her eyes again, but this time, it was tears of joy.
“I will not waste this chance to make it up to you!” Aileen said, but Tim did not say a word as he got up from his seat and turned.
He was about to walk away but he seemed to remember something which made him stopped in his track, “Uh,” He blurted out as he faced his mother again, “You can move into the Villa with Yana and Kira,” He said and then he left.
Aileen’s gaze followed her son, her heart was full of happiness
Though he still treated her coldly, at least, he still gave her a chance to be forgiven! This is what she wants for the past nineteen years.
God is good to answer her prayers.
