? Nina’s P. O. V
I’m dumbfounded.
I’m out of breath.
As I’m staring at the laptop screen.
My brain has lost the ability to think. Everything is messy. My brain can’t think anything let alone arrange them.
How did everything turn out like this?
This way?
Tears start rolling down my cheeks like a flood. How could I forget him…….
I lie down on my bed as I sigh closing my eyes.
This is…. Ridiculous….
Yes, totally ridiculous. I know Rohan. He was one and only close friend of me with whom I spend a lot of time in childhood.
How could I forget all this? I can’t
remember communicating with Rohan
after my parents’ death.
Is it something that I lost a certain
memory from that shock?
I stare at the roof without blinking.
Things are really in a mess.
Should I talk to a doctor about my
memory loss?
Yes I should.

“Is it really possible to forget a certain memory totally?” I ask the female doctor who’s smiling at me friendly .
“Yes.. It’s possible.” She says.
“But… Isn’t it really strange that I forget everything about that certain thing? Even I couldn’t remember when I meet them!” I am almost shouting being overexcited.
“Human brain is so mysterious. You don’t know when what happens…. But didn’t you really couldn’t recognize them? Or didn’t you feel like you know them?” She asks leaning forward on the desk.
I look away thinking.
“All these time, whenever I meet those people I feel something…. Like…. Something.. How can I make you understand.. Like I’ve been around them for years. I knew them… But I didn’t give it a serious think. ” I finally say.
“That’s it… You didn’t totally forget them… If you were around them before you could remember them quicker.” She says.
“And if i wouldn’t meet them ever again… Would I forget them totally?” I ask.
“Maybe…” She replies abstractly.

I’m sitting at a coffee shop and holding a coffee cup.
I don’t know how much time it’s been since I’m sitting here.
I’m doomed and my brain isn’t working.
I sigh and look inside the coffee cup. The coffee has turned normal.
I wonder why the manager or the waiter isn’t telling me to leave!
I quickly drink the coffee and head towards to pay the bill.
The manager bows his head and smiles at me warmly as he hands me the slip of the bill.
“Do….you know me?” I ask after paying the bill pointing at myself confusingly.
“Yes! You’re married to the owner of this coffee shop. We were at the wedding ceremony yesterday.” He replies and I frown.
“You mean… Ro….han?” I ask rising my eyebrows.
“Yes…..” He says smiling.
I drop my eyebrows.
“Heh… Why would he buy a coffee shop only to drink coffee? Ridiculous!” I take my handbag and about to leave when the manager says, “It’s his hobby to taste different kind of coffees!”
Tch! It was my hobby when I was a
kid …. I loved to make coffee.
I really don’t know why I end up entering no other but this coffee shop! My fate is playing with me!
I quickly exit the shop and hail a taxi.
Night has fallen. And different colors of light manage to keep the city bright.
? Rohan’s P. O. V
I look at the wall clock nervously. It’s already evening but Nina isn’t here yet. Mom has invited both of us to attend the dinner with her but if she’s late we can’t make it in time.
And it’s wen the doorbell rings. I jump out from the sofa and open the door.
“Where have you been all day?!” I ask her grabbing her shoulders even without letting her in.
Here eyes are round as she watches me surprised. Then she pulls a cold face again.
“I’m not bound to explain everything to you, am I?” She asks.
“Not everything but something. You have to answer when you did something to explain.” I say.
“Let go of me.. I’ve to get ready for dinner. I’m exhausted.” After staring at me a while she says shrugging her shoulders but I don’t let go.
“Or do you want me to go out again?” She almost threatens me and I let her in.

I silently drive my car when Nina is sitting beside me silently.
“Won’t you answer me where have you been all day?” I ask to break the ice.
“No…” She almost slaps on my face with that simple “No”.
I sigh silently while watching the road ahead of us. I see the gate of my mom’s manor. As soon as I stop my car in front of the huge iron gate, the gate opens automatically.
I drive a few more minutes inside the manor garden to reach the mansion.
I stop the car and Nina gets off instantly.
Mom welcomes us at door and takes us to the dining hall.
“You both look beautiful. ” Mom says and invites us to take seats.
I wear a black suit with red necktie and she wears a beautiful red gown.
Various kinds of foods are being served when I take a peek at Nina.
She’s frowning while staring at the empty plate in front of her.
“By any chance do you know me beforehand??” She asks my mom suddenly. She’s still frowning and my mom stare at her dumbfounded.
