When we come back, more people has gathered here.
They all look at us with expectations.
I also see that Maria girl.
“Come here. Come here!” Aunt Elina gestures me to sit in the middle of her and Rohan’s mother.
I hesitate for a moment.
“Do you agree? Will you marry my son?” Rohan’s mother says.
I feel all the eyes on me. Even, Rohan’s looking at me putting his hands inside the pockets.
I feel tensed, nervous. My temperature
is rising up.
“Take it easy…. And say…” Aunt Elina says.
I grab my knees.
“I gave it a think. Every time I thought about it my innerself didn’t response me… But regarding every sides I’ve decided to agree.” I press my lips together and look at Rohan’s mother.
“I’ll marry your son.” I say this sentence in a breath.
Everyone cheers and sighs in relief.
“What would you do if I wouldn’t have agreed?” I ask to my mother in law whispering.
She’s so happy. That’s killing me.
“I would have to force you.” She whispers back smiling.
I roll my eyes.
“Or I would lock you two up in a room until you two fell in love.” She says winking.
I roll my eyes.
“You’re unbelievable!” I say and look away irritated.
“Ah, Ella, finally you’ve got someone perfect for my grandson.” Suddenly a hand pats my head and I startle.
“Ah yes.. Pray for them so that they can live happily.” My mother in law says.
I see Nusaiba waving at me from the mini bar. I leave three elder women behind and join younger.

“I’m Happy because at least Mia isn’t going to be our brother’s wife.” Alia says.
I gripe the stand of the glass.
I still can’t get used to the word “Wife”!
” you know I knew her beforehand. I meet her in the office and also Rohan’s rest house. ” Nusaiba says and sips her drink again.
I look at her instantly.
“Rest house?” Alia asks.
“Yes… She and he were sle…,”
“Nusaiba, come here. Zico is crying, baby.” Suddenly Nusaiba’s husband Daniel interrupts as he can’t control their 3 years old son, Zico.
“Ah… Coming…..” She hurries there. On the way she stumbles.
“Ah, Nusaiba! Finish the story! What’s sle??” Alia shouts.
Oh no! Now she’ll start asking me now.
“Ah!! Rohan is calling me.. I’m leaving!” I lie and walk towards Rohan who is talking with his cousin Jack.
I quickly grab his arm and drag him behind the rooftop room.
“Wait!” He says but I don’t stop.
“Don’t let that be spread! Tell Nusaiba to keep that a secret.” I say to him.
“Why? We’re getting married so what’s wrong, little thing?” He asks.
“But we didn’t sleep together, did we?” I ask. I’m angry now.
“Yes, we did. Can’t you remember? How can you forget about such beautiful night, honey?”
I grit my teeth and stare at him. And without giving it a second thought I grip his collar with both of my hands..
He rolls his eyes.
“You better tell her to keep this a secret or I’ll tell them you forced me to do so.” I say threatening.
He stares at me blankly.
“Go ahead…” He says.
What should I do to this stubborn!
“They won’t believe you. Because Nusaiba saw you on the bed on your own. You weren’t tied on bed with shackles, were you?” He says and leaves me speechless.
“You just dug your own trap, little thing.” He says and I cover my face sighing.
? Rohan’s P. O. V
She has nothing special in her but she’s uncommon. What makes her different from others? Is it her virtue that helps to fight her back? Or her honesty that doesn’t let her to get attracted even towards money or property? Or maybe she has a really warm and kind heart behind that rude attitude?
Maybe all of them or more then these. She kept resisting me. Even, now, she’s resisting me, not letting me get around her. For the first time, I’ve been insulted, scolded, rejected but I haven’t felt that way. The more she has pushed me away, the more I’ve desired to get closer to her.
Mom was right, I should let my feelings to be revealed. At first, I need to know how I feel then I can make someone feel the same for me.
I’m brought to the reality when Zico, my nephew, calls me out.
“Uncle.. Uncle.. ” He shakes my knee.
I take him by arms and make him sit on my thigh.
“What’s it, big boy?” I ask as I ruffle his hair.
“You’re getting married to that aunt?” He points at Nina who’s talking with my sisters, aunts, mother and grandmother.
“Hmm. Maybe…” I say.
“Why would you marry her? Why you have to get married?” I can’t help but be surprised. Kids, these days are overcurious about everything. They ask unbelievable questions. This isn’t my first time I’m facing this kinds of situation..
“You see… Actually… I…. .. Ugh.. No…” I keep stammering and he’s looking at me curiously. I pout.
“You overcurious brat…” I can’t help but murmur.
Sometimes, I wonder who are the hardest to handle, woman or kid?
As I stare at him irritated, I hear Nusaiba calling me.
“I’d better die!” Alia says and leans backward disappointed.
Everyone sighs.
“We need a conclusion” My Granny says.
“Conclusion you say! You haven’t yet decided the color of the weeding dress let alone design, ornaments and others.” Nusaiba says.
“Let’s just delay. Maybe next week?” Alia says.
“Yes, how can a weeding dress will be done in one day?” Nusaiba says.
“We can’t delay.” Grandma says.
“What about Saturday? We’ll get three days?” Mom says.
“No…. Monday….” Alia disagrees..
“Five days!” Granny almost exclaims.
Mom and grandma exchanges their looks and then look at Nina who’s playing with Zico placing him on her lap.
“Well, but prepare everything properly…..” Mom says.
Everyone sighs in relief.
“But the dress color?” Granny asks.
“I think white will suit her the most.” Mom says.
“I want something different. Not white!” Granny says.
“They started again….” Nina says sighing.
“My Granny and great-granny are the best Granny I’ve ever seen!” Zico says and Nina ruffles his hair smiling.
“Red? Blue? Green? Yellow? Would they suit better?” Mom says.
Everyone is watching them blankly.
“What about golden?? It will make her look elegant.” Nusaiba says.
“Yes. Pink, red, blue, purple they are common. Golden is better, I guess.” Alia says.
Aunt Elina nods as she too agrees.
