I pulled up in front of our house and rushed in with tears streaming down my face, my phone is ringing but I don’t even have the strength to pick it
I can’t believe what I just saw, it happened last week and he’s already in bed with Rihana today, she was even undressing him
Why is all this happening?
Why did he decide to punish me like this, why did he decide to be a jerk suddenly
It hurts
Elvira rushed in
“Why did you rush in like that?, Is everything ok at Stanley’s place?, Are you ok?, Did you tell him about the pregnancy?, What did he say?” She asked all at once
I looked at her with my teary eyes
“He’s with Rihana, I saw her undressing him on bed” I explained as I broke down in tears again..
“What!, Is this some kind of joke?” She asked
“I can’t be joking with such a thing, I’m damn serious” I replied and she balled her fists in anger
“Is Stanley mad right now?, Is he insane?, I think I need to go there and smack the hell out of him” she threatened and made to go out but I blocked her way
“Don’t do it, please” I whispered.
“Should we just get out of this country and go to Paris, or Korea” she said
“No!, No Elvira, I’ll stay and find out the truth, we just need to find out who’s behind all these” I answered and she nodded in agreement
“You’re right, that’s what we really need to do, are you sure you can do it?” She asked and wiped my tears while I gave a sad smile
“I can handle it, just stick with me till the end” I replied
“Sure….so Rihana is the very first target, she’s the chief suspect… and I suspect Steve knows something too cos he’s been acting weird, Helga said he’s not called her and his phone has been switched off since last week, she said she went to his house Yesterday and his door was locked” she said
“Steve, what could Steve know” I wondered
“Since Rihana is his sis, we can’t be so sure” she answered
“So should we start with Steve or Rihana?”
“Steve, and Helga will help with that” she said
“I know”
Helga later came in the evening and she was told about the plan
Elvira told her Steve’s door password and she went to Steve the second day with an audio recorder attached to her button

Since Elvira told me the password already, I just inserted it and got in, I met him on the floor, pale and thin
I rushed to him and tilted him up
“Steve!, Steve!” I called but he’s too weak to even answer. I picked his phone on the table
He’s so light that I’m even the one who took him to the car, I drove him to his hospital where he was admitted and given drip
I was told by the other doctors that he took leave from work since the day of the incident
.now this is making sense and I need no one to tell me now that he knows something about this
Something definitely smells fishy, I left his phone beside him
I left him in the hospital and went back home where I told Elvira and Ellen what I saw
“I told you he knows something, maybe he’s scared of saying it out, that’s why he’s not coming out or seeing anyone, now we’ll all go to the hospital together, the three of us” Elvira said

Since Stanley Chased me out of his house, I haven’t gone to see him again
He said he doesn’t want to see me anyways
Even if I won’t have him, I’m just glad Hellen won’t have him either
And Steve, I’ve not seen him since everything happened, I think I need to go see him

Richard came as promised today and asked of Steve
“I’ve not seen him since the incident” I replied
“And he tried calling you?”
“No!, I tried calling him but his number is off” I replied
“Something is wrong somewhere, I don’t…
“Richard something happened yesterday….. Hellen, caught I and Rihana on bed” I interrupted
“What!, What were you thinking?, How could you…
“It’s not what you think, I didn’t do anything with her, I was just drunk and couldn’t control myself, she took me home and layed me on bed, she started undressing me and I’m too weak to stop her, that’s when Hellen came in”
“Fk!, Dude, she won’t believe that”
“What do we do!”
“Just let’s find Steve first” he said and my phone beeped
It’s Steve
He told me to come to his hospital and I told Richard
“I think he’s not well, he said he’s in a ward in his hospital and he told us to come”
Richard and I drove straight there
Entering the ward, we met Helga, Elvira and Hellen there with him

“Come on in” I said as they entered
“Steve what happened to you?, You look unwell” Stanley said with concern
My guilt increased
I looked at them all and swallowed hard
“Em, Stanley, Hellen, Elvira, Helga, I hope you’ll forgive me for this” I said shakily
“What are you talking about?” Stanley asked..
“I think I’m gonna die if I don’t blurt this out, for the past three weeks since the occurrence, I’ve been living in hell ” I said, tears rushing down my cheeks
“What?” Hellen asked
“I…I…I….I added the poison to…. the strawberries at Elvira’s house” I said and saw the look of disbelief on their faces
“What!” Elvira exclaimed
“It’s the truth, when you went upstairs to receive your dad’s call, I injected a slow poison to all the berries and that’s why I declined when you told me to help you drop it for Stan” I said
“Steve!” Stanley called unbelievably
“But it’s not me, Rihana forced me, she threatened to sabotage and implicate me with Flora’s death if I don’t help her, she said she just wanted Stan to hate Hellen and Elvira, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to do it but I was scared and I wasn’t thinking, I’m just too clueless that’s why I did it, I never thought it’ll turn out like this” I said guiltily
“What about the voice note?” Richard Asked
“Rihana said it’s voice copy” I replied
“Fk!” Richard shouted
“Sht!” Stanley exclaimed in tears, running his hand through his hair
“I trusted you, I trusted you Steve, I took you as my second brother” Elvira said
“I’m sorry Elvira, I’m sorry” I said, trying to hold her hand but she stepped back
“Steve, you did this because of a threat, you ruined my life, you ruined Elvira’s marriage, you ruined my relationship with Stan and you ruined your relationship with Helga” Hellen said in tears, backing the wall
I stood up and went close to Helga but she slapped me across the face
.”don’t you ever touch me!, I hate you!” She said hatefully and pulled Hellen out of the ward
I sat on the ground
“Steve…I’m so disappointed” Elvira said and equally Walked out
“You were my best friend, but you ruined that!” Stanley said and punched me in the face, I can taste my own blood as blood came out of the wound he gave me
“Don’t even try to show your face” he said and stormed out
“Steve, you just ruined four important relationship of your life, I might not be among, but I still hate what you did” Richard said and walked out
I just cried and cried
I walked out of the hospital and couldn’t find them again, they’re all gone
Then I saw Rihana’s car pulling up in the parking lot
She came to me
“Bro, what happened?” She asked but I slapped her twice
“That should be enough for an answer” I said and got into her car, I drove off at an high speed
She called after me but I don’t care!
I was crying throughout
“Why did I do this why?, Why will I do this to the people I love?, Why will I let my stupidity take the best of me?, I’m such an idi©t!
I was too engrossed in my brooding to notice I’m about to jam a coming car
We ran to each other and that’s all I can remember….. forever.
