“Are you ok now?” Helga asked after I’ve calmed down
“I think so” I replied calmly
The words he said before leaving; “I love you and I love our baby” started repeating itself in my head….I know he does but I just can’t believe he doesn’t trust me
“Can you spare me some minutes?” Dad asked, coming into the room
“Sure dad” I answered and followed him out
“Sit” he said and I sat on the couch, facing him
“My princess, I know what I’m about to say might annoy you but it won’t keep me from saying it” he said and studied my expression for a while before moving on
“You need to forgive Stanley” he said and I looked intently at him
“Why?” I asked
“You told me yourself that his mum killed his brother, you can’t expect a man like him to trust someone too much, the thought of getting poisoned by another woman is what’ll be clouding his mind, I know that’s why he doesn’t eat a food prepared by ladies before you entered his life and changed that, if he doesn’t trust you, he will never allow you to cook for him, just look at it from that perspective daughter…so the moment he got poisoned, his mind drifted to when his bro was poisoned and dats why he didn’t feel like trusting you or Elvira again, not that he doesn’t love you, you told me he called you when you saw him with Rihana?”
“Yes dad, but I didn’t pick, I saw Rihana undressing him” I replied
“But they didn’t do anything together, I’m sure he doesn’t have anything to do with her and calling you after you left only means one thing, he wants to explain things to you despite the fact that there’s an ongoing crisis between the two of you, Stanley loves you, you should be able to forgive him for the sake of your baby, he needs his father” dad said and I’m already crying
“Who am I to say no…I’m just….
“You’re hurt, I know but still you need to forgive him, he’s your man, and you’ll help him fight his distrust” he said and I hugged him
“Uncle is saying he truth” Helga said, walking into the living room
She has become so quiet since Steve’s death, this is the longest sentence I’ve heard her say
“I know, I’ll forgive him” I replied as the doorbell chimed in
Helga went to check and her eyes widened
“Who’s that?’ I mouthed
“Governor” she mouthed back as she opened the door widely and governor Armstrong stepped in with give guards
“Good day here” he hollered with an unsure smile
“Governor Armstrong in my house?, I must write down today’s date” dad joked
“Oh really”
“Of course!, Please sit” dad said and he did
“So what’s the reason for this unexpected visit?, Is it to warn my daughter never to come see your son again?” He asked sarcastically
Governor Armstrong cleared his throat and faced him
“I actually came to settle things, Elvira gave me the CCTV of her living room and I saw its Steve doing the whole thing, I listened to his confession too and heard how Rihana did the voice copy….I’m really sorry for ruining things, my gullibility took the best of me” he said and my eyes widened, if I’m hearing the right words, he’s apologizing!
“So you know you’re gullible after all, letting one small girl control your actions, you almost ruined your family” dad said icily
“I know Mr Roger,I just want you to find a place in your heart to forgive me” he said, staring at me
“Over to you Hellen” dad said
“If he’s …. Willing to let me marry Stan, then I’ll consider forgiving him” I said
“Even if you won’t forgive me, Stanley is all yours” he said and I smiled..
“I’ve forgiven you” I said and saw him beaming with smiles
The second day, Stan came to see me and I can’t hide how much I miss him again as I hugged him tight, though my bulging tummy is an obstruction from clinging closer to him
“I missed you Stan, I really did” I said
“Not as much as I do…silly, I’m sorry for everything” he said and I placed my second finger on his lips
“Don’t apologise again, just kss me” I said and he smiled before taking my lips in his, we kssed for some minutes before dad coughed
“We’re here too” Helga said
“They really did a good job in making me forgive you” I told Stan and he gave them a hug each
Then Richard came too and expressed his happiness at our reunion
He later took Helga out after much persuading cos I really want her to be happy again
We decided that I’ll stay at my place till I give birth, after which we’ll get married proper And move back to the mansion together and he agreed
We’re now left with apologizing to Elvira
I and Stanley went to her house on a chilly morning and met her watching novela
“Oh my pinky, your baby bump is growing so well” she said and helped me sit down while she pretended like she didn’t see Stanley
“Elvira…can you please forgive me all my sins?” Stanley asked
She looked at him Swiftly
“I’m not God” she snapped
“But I know you’re still angry” he said
“Of course I am. How can you tell me you disown me as your sis”
“You should understand sis, the past caused all these” he said and Elvira calmed down
“You know I’ve told you I won’t forgive you easily, I think my maid should rest today, why don’t you do all the cooking and washing”
“What!”
“Brother in-law” Tyler hailed, descending the stairs
“Tyler” he called and they hugged
“It’s been a while” he said and they both laughed
“Our pinky” Tyler said, refferring to me
I smiled and waved at him
“Do that to Elvira again and it won’t go well” I said and he smiled as someone entered
It’s the governor
“What are you doing here?, And how did you know my password?” Elvira asked in anger
“I invited him, and I told him the password too” Tyler answered
“God!” She exclaimed and fell on the couch
“Elvira, Stanley, I know I’ve Never been a perfect dad but please, I really need your forgiveness.. Elvira you’re my daughter….
“No I’m not,you disowned me”
“But I’m begging you to forgive me Elvira, from now on, I’ll treat you like my mother, you’re the best daughter in the world” he said
I guess those words melts Elvira’s cold heart cos she went closer to him and hugged him
“I love you Daddy” she said
“I love you daughter”
“Love you Daddy” Stan said and I giggled
“Love you son” he replied as we all clicked a photo, suggested by Tyler
We drank wine and merry, the governor is so humorous, I just knew that today
Stan later went to the kitchen alone to Clean up and wash all the dishes, he cooked too and we all ate happily, it’s indeed a happy reunion

Three weeks later
I, Hellen, Stanley, Elvira and Richard went to see Steve today at his burial ground
“Dude!, You’re really missing a lot, I wish you could stay longer” Richard said and dropped his flower
“Gullible Steve, I still love you as my second brother like that,but leaving so soon is not welcomed in the next life” Elvira said and dropped her flowers
“My best and only friend, I miss you greatly, I wonder how you’re doing there, we’ve all forgiven you and we hope that you’ll rest in peace….lots of love from us all” Stanley said and dropped his flower too
They all left and gave me time to say my goodbye
“Steve, the first guy I’ll ever love,
I loved you, I really do, you changed me, I was always gloomy but you did the happiness magic, coming over to my shop everyday just to see my face, talk to me and taste my cakes is the best thing that has ever happened to me, please stay happy over there, and JOURNEY MERCY” I said and placed the flower down too as I left, trying to fight back my tears

Six months later
I’m expecting my baby anytime soon and I’m just too happy
Stan came over today and while we were playing and joking, I suddenly started feeling stinging pain in my stomach
“Ouch!” I whimpered
He rushed to me and held me
“Are you ok?”
“My…my….ouch” I screamed
Helga rushed out with dad
“I think my water just broke” I said and I was quickly guided to the car while Helga brought the baby loads
We got to the hospital and the nurses confirmed that the baby is on it’s way
Stanley and Helga were told to excuse while dad stayed
I held unto him throughout the labour time
An hour later, I eventually delivered a pretty baby girl
“My Cindy” I exclaimed with joy as Stan rushed in with Helga
“Our baby has arrived Stanley, our Cindy” I said happily as Stanley went on his knees and brought out a ring im sure it’s diamond
“Krystal, please be my angel forever, a girl whose best colour is pink, best food is pasta, best fruit is apple, you like staring at the stars at night and say they’re beautiful, a true replica of a rare gem, please I want to take care of you Forever” he said
“You still remember everything” I said as I tilted up
“How could I forget…. Krystal please be my star” he said
“Sure, I’ll be your star shinning brightly” I replied as he slipped the ring into my finger and we kssed lightly
Two months after I gave birth to Cindy, we had our gorgeous wedding, it’s the happiest day of my life indeed, I still relish the wedding moments till today

Six years later
Being the father of Cindy wouldn’t be so stressful if not for her stubbornness….she’s extra stubborn!
With those pretty grey eyes, cute dimples, curly hair and beautiful face to crown it all, my daughter is beautiful but stubborn… just like her mum
We had another baby already in our third year of marriage, a boy, we named him Grayson, Grayson will be a gentle child, I can sense it, he’s just three years old
Cindy is currently in basic two in primary school
My sugar plum, Krystal just completed her masters in one of the best institutes and we’re now running Gold empire together with Elvira, I’m the new governor!
Elvira gave birth to three kids already, they’re actually triplets…
Harry, Jack and Diane, they are trouble in disguise….talk about troublesome children, go for them but they are still not stubborn compared to my Cindy, they’re five years old each
Now Helga and Richard just had their wedding last year cos it really took long for her to get over Steve and Helga is still carrying the first baby, she’ll put to bed soon
And Rihana, she’s still in the mental institute and I don’t think she’ll ever be ok cos of guilt, she kept shouting she wants to talk to Steve
So pathetic!
