“Mum! Dad!! Are we going to d!e?” she asked her parents.
“Joy giver why did you say that?” Her mum asked.
“Dad! Mum! Please don’t leave me, please” she begged.
“Marietta what happened” the king asked.
“Nothing please don’t leave me, please please” she cried frantically.
“We aren’t dying” they both chorus.
She stood up and run out of the room.
“Lawson our daughter is too sensitive” Angela cried.
“She oh God” Lawson cried.
“I don’t want to leave my daughter but this is the only way we can save her” Lawson cried.
“Hmm” Marie covered her mouth as she sobbed.
“I know mum and dad are leaving me” she cried with sob racking through her body.
“Stop crying princess, please don’t cry” Max said pulling her into a hug.
“Max am going to miss them, will I ever see them again?” She cried and Max pulled her to himself.

“Love we are going to Lagos” Angela exclaimed happily to her daughter.
“Yeah” Marie said with fake excitement.
“What’s wrong baby?”.
“Nothing mum” she smiled with the smile not reaching her eyes.
“Ok get dressed we are going”.
“Mum can I go visit Max before we go?”.
“Yes dear” Angela smiled shaking her head.

“Max I can feel it mum and dad are leaving me today” she cried.
“Don’t say that wife they aren’t going no where, they gonna be there when we get married”. He said stroking her hair.
“Really?” She asked smiling at him.
“Yes wife” he replied smiling back at her.
“We are going to Lagos for a vacation” she informed him.
“Ok wife I will see you when you get back I have a gift for you” he smiled.
“Please tell me” she begged.
“No” he said “when you come back”.
“Bye Max” she said as she rushed back home.

We are the ones to make a brighter day

She sang happily as their car drives through the highway.
“Mum I want to pee” she whinned.
“Love please be patient let me find a safe place for us to park the car”.
“Ok dad” she replied and continue singing.
“Dad I want to pee” she said clutching her stomach.
Her dad packed the car beside the road, and she got down hurriedly to ease herself. Within a twinkle of an eye a lorry collided with their car, the car tumbled trice and caught fire.
Marie stood there with her mouth wide open and tears fell out of her face.
“Dad! Mum! She yelled “you promised not to leave me” she cried trying to walk towards the vehicle but a force kept pulling her back.
People starts rushing to the accident scene in bid to help the occupants of the car.
“Mum! Dad!! You promised not to leave me, Max mum and dad have leave me” she cried walking about in the midst of the people. Then a woman took her to her car, she passed out in the car.

Ann opened her eyes with tears cascading down her face, she cried like no other as she found her way back to her late parents room.
The room still felt the same since eighteen years ago. She remembered how she use to run round the palace with her parents.
“I just got my memory back” she exclaimed crying heavily.
She picked up her phone and called her comforter.
“Max” she cried.
“Wife” he breaths.

“I just got my memories back” she said and dropped the phone.
Max on hearing those six words found his way to the palace immediately.
When he got there he found her in her late parents room.

“It’s ok Marie it’s ok” he soothes as he pats her back.
“Am sorry they couldn’t see us get married, am sorry for everything , am sorry we all missed eighteen years of your life”.

“Max it hurts” she cried “I love them so much, they meant the world to me, can you imagine they were roasted like chickens, is that an human way to die” she cried.
“Shush” Max cooed. “You have mum Richard and dad Richard, you have Bella, you have me and my parents we are your family now so you are not alone” he said.
“Yes” she sniffed.
