KARLA
I open my eye slowly feeling so weak and my head hurt seriously. What wrong with me?, I try to stand up but couldn’t because my leg felt so weak.
“Karla”someone call my name and held my hand tight. I can’t really picture the face because it blur.
“Are you feeling okay?”
“What going on here”I asks as I look side way but instead I saw a ECG, a device use in the diagnosis and detection of heart abnormalities.
Why is it?I’m in a hospital!?.
“Karla are you okay?”My eye widened immediately I recognize the voice. Leo?. Can someone explain what going on here?.
“Should I call the doctor?”
“No!”I stop him by holding his hand but release it immediately. What happened to me?.
“Can you help me sit up?”I asks and he help in putting the pillow up and sit me up.
I groaned as he help me up, Why do I feel so weak.
“How long have I been here?”I asked.
“Just 8hours”he replied and I sigh in relief as I close my eyes and reopen them.
“What happened to me?”
“You don’t remember anything?”he asks with a look of concerned.
“No”I replied as I tried to recollecting by my headache worsen.
“You should take a rest maybe you can remember”
“Why are you here?”I asks.
“Because I saved you, You seriously don’t remember anything?”he asks again.
“Is there something I should actually remember?”I asked and he stuttered at his words.
“Nevermind just rest well”he replied.
“Why do suddenly care about me?”I asks but instead he held my hand in his and kss it as he squeeze tightly.
“What are you doing?”I asks in surprise.
“Why didn’t you tell me sooner?”he respond with a question too.
“Tell you what?”I’m totally lost seriously.
“That you are carrying our baby”he replied and my eye almost popped out.
“What?!”I yelled but that only earn me more pain.
“Take it easy dear”he said and lay me down slowly again.
“I’m not pre.gnant”I declared as he sit back beside my leg.
“You don’t have to lie to me I’m ready to take responsibility of everything I did”
“What are you talking about? I’m seriously not pre.gnant”
“Huh?”he hold a confused face.
“Fine this is it, I actually thought I was pre.gnant too but I’m not okay”I said and remove my hand from his and he just sit there without saying a word.
“Karla you don’t have to lie to me okay, I remember what about that night and I will make up for it”
“What are you talking about?”
“Be my girlfriend and I promise to take responsibility of the baby and we can Keep it a secret if you want”
“No no no!, don’t you understand what I’m saying?”
“I will take that as a Yes, thank you so much” What is he saying? I’m totally sick and he is adding to it again?.
“Leo_”
“Omg you are awake”My mom Interrupted us as she walk in with my little brother Alex.
“Karla”he walk to me and hug me making me smile and I use the little strength in me to scatter is hair.
“Karla”he pull away with a frown as he arrange his hair and I laugh.
“Psycho”he muttered and sit on the chair in the ward.
“How are you feeling?”Mom asks.
“Just weak”I replied and she touch my forehead then my hand but my eye were still on Leo.
He isn’t even giving me a chance to explain to him. I’m not pre.gnant and if I turn out to be there is no way I will keep the baby.
“The doctor said you will be fine and all you need is a good rest”she said and I return a smile instead of words.
“So who is responsible for this”She frown as she point at my tummy and I exchange glance with Leo.
“Responsible for what?”I replied innocently.
“I’m totally responsible for it ma. It a one night mistake but we can sought things out right?”Leo asks and my mom stare at him for a while.
“What are you talking about?”She asks and I just lay there with my heart beating fast.
“I thought_”he got Interrupted by my mom.
“Who the hell lock your in a house filled with dangerous smoke that almost killed you”She said and I sigh in relief.
“What are you talking about?”
“Leo shouldn’t you head home now, I appreciate your kindness but you know there is school tomorrow and I don’t want your parent getting worried”
“I actually put a call through already”he replied.
“Just go, I’m here now I can take good care of her”My mom insist.
“Okay ma, Bye karla I will come see you tomorrow”he replied.
“Can I tag along? I don’t want to stay with a psycho”Alex said and I frown.
Leo exchange glance with Mom who gave him a go ahead.
“Sure dude”he said and Alex jumped up happily.
“Take care Karla”I was expecting him to leave immediately after saying that but he did the unexpected and it was right in the front of my mom.
he walk over to me and kiss me on forehead before walking out with my little brother who had his palm on his face already.
“I will let you recover but definitely you have a lot question to answer once you get off that bed”She said and I could only fake a smile.
“The doctor said the drug given to you to recover fast might I’ve some side effects so you I’ve to sleep probably”
“Side effects?, I’m not pre.gnant?”
“Preg what?”she raised her voice.
“Nothing just_”I was Interrupted by her.
“Karla?”She called.
“Ma”I fake a smile.
“You’ve been acting all weird lately and you didn’t even tell me about Leo and now you were almost killed by a peer or something”
“Peer?”
“You don’t remember anything?”She asks and I nod negativity.
“You were lock in a room filled with dangerous gas”She said and I just stare at her.
How come I don’t remember anything??
