Chapter 44

BRITTANY’S POV

(Some days later…)

“But Hayden, it’s too expensive” I said.

“It’s not, nothing is too expensive to get for you” he uttered.

We are currently at a boutique shopping for clothes. Hayden spotted a gown worth a thousand dollars and insisted on getting it for me. It’s worth the prize but I still find it too expensive.

“But…”

He cuts me off. “No complains. Go try it on” he said pushing me into the dressing room.

“Fine!” I raised my hand up in surrender and entered the dressing room.

After 10 minutes, I finally came out. Hayden was seated already, his phone is his hand.

“Hayden” I called nervously and he raised his head up to look at me.

“Wow” he utters and walked up to me.

“Red is definitely your color” he complimented.

It’s an armless red gown with diamond stones on it.

“It looks good on you. “ he said and I blushed. You are definitely taking it and you are not saying no” He added

“I hear you, Mr Wyatt” I snickered, a smile on my face.

We ended up with five shopping bags. He spent a lot on this shopping and since he isn’t complaining, I got no problem.

It’s a Saturday and he didn’t go to work to spend the day with me.

After professing our love to each other, Hayden have been showering me with love and tons of gifts. It makes me love him even more.

After packing the bags in the booth, we both got into his car and he started the car.

We got home 20 minutes later. Nana and another help carried the bags to our room.

His mom left already. Hayden got an apartment for her. More like a mansion and she moved in three days ago. He hired maids to the house and a car and assigned a driver to her.

We got to the bedroom when nana was just going out.

I laid on the bed immediately and Hayden got in beside me.

“I didn’t do anything but I am tired” I utters plugging my phone to the socket beside the bed.

“I’m starving” he said.

“Then go ea….”

He interrupted me. “Not like food. I mean…” he smirked.

I covered my mouth in realization.

“God! Go away Hayden” I laughed.

He got on the bed beside me.

“Quit acting like a saint. We both know you want me too”

I raised my hand to h it his chest but he dragged me making my lips touch his.

I widened my eyes as we both stayed in the position for a while.
Whenever he is like so close to me, my heart seems to go crazy and my senses immediately disappears.

He changed positions, making me lie on the be d and him on top of me and started kssing me.

Few minutes later, our clothings were lying on the floor.

The next week…

It’s a busy week. Test week at school and Hayden stuck in business meetings and work.

He isn’t chanced to pick me up again as Jacob does that but he takes me to school.

I have also been reading so there wasn’t really time for us to hang out.

After the first paper of the day, I laid my head on the table tiredly.

“How was it?” I heard a voice behind me and flinched.

Turned to see Andy. “Hey you scared me” I frowned.

“I’m sorry boss lady” he said and I rolled my eyes dramatically.

“How was it?” He asked referring to the test we just finished.

“Wouldn’t say simple. The lecturer should be given an award for setting the most hardest and tricky questions. I tried my best anyways” i answered.

“I am not sure I would pass the man’s course. Giving me headache “ He said.

“That’s what intelligent people say. Not going to fall for that”

Andy laughed. “The result will tell”

“Yeah!”

“So uhm, Brit. I have been thinking…”

“Okay…”

“I’m thinking of asking Brenda out on a date after test week”

My face lightened up. “For real? You like her now?”

“Not exactly. I miss us. I miss us hanging out. I just want to try and see if things work out between us” he said.

“I’m sure it will” I said.

“Maybe”

I looked around the class and she wasn’t there. She left immediately after the test. Been ignoring both me and Andy and it isn’t fair.
Maybe Andy can get to like her and we would be back together like old times.
Just maybe.

Jacob drove me home. On getting home, I went to my room reading for tomorrow’s test.

My stomach grumbles and I called for Nana to fry eggs and buy bread to go with it.

My phone started ringing and it stopped ringing almost immediately and on checking, it was Brenda.

I arched my brows and called her back.

She picked the call thankfully.

“It was a mistake” she said and dropped the call immediately.

“Okay, that was rude” I said to myself and continued what I was doing.

Someone knocked on the door.

“Come in” I ordered and nana entered with a tray. I told her to bring into the room instead.

She placed it on the table and I muttered a ‘Thank you’ to her.

She left the room after giving me a look which I choose to ignore. I opened the plate of eggs and started eating.

After eating, I called her to take the plates to the kitchen and continued reading.

7pm.

I was on the bed scrolling through my gallery checking Hayden’s and i pictures.

The door opened and Hayden entered.

“Finally. I missed you” I said standing up from the bed.

He pecked my cheek. “Missed you more”

I proceeded to taking of his tie. I coughed.

“Are you okay?” He asked.

“Yeah” I answered and coughed again.

My chest started hurting and I moved away fro Hayden coughing.

I was feeling super week and I started seeing doubles.

“Brittany” Hayden said and holds my hand.

This time around, I coughed out bIood and Hayden’s eyes widened in ho..rror.

“I don’t feel too good” I uttered and fell in his arms as everything turned dark.
