BRITTANY’S POV.

Hayden and I left for Dubai two days after my birthday. It have been fun of course.

Exploring the country, date night, going to the movies and lots of fun things.

We are currently on the bed of the hotel we lodged in. We were nked as we just finished a hot section of love making.

Hayden and I both agreed not to have a baby yet because of my education.

We would start up a family when I graduate. He was fine with it and I was too.

My phone started ringing and I told Hayden to pass my phone to me.

It was my mom and I picked it and placed it on my ear.

“Hello mom”

“Brit, i’m sorry for disturbing you…”

“You are not. What happened. Your voice doesn’t sound too good”

“Your dad…” she mumbled.

“Did he hit you again” I frowned.

“Yes…”

“He should be taken to jail for domestic violence. Mom, I know you are going to say he will change but I’m not even sure he will.”

“No…no… I left the house. I’m filling for a divorce. Your dad is influential. He would get his way out of I involved the police so the best thing to do now is leave him.it was a tough decision but he won’t ever change. I was a fool thinking he would.”

“Mom, you are not”

“Don’t worry about me. I would be fine. Just wanted to let you know”

“Karma will surely catch up against him”

“I’m sure of that” she said.
“How is Hayden?” She asked changing the topic.

“He is fine…mom, please be fine. Don’t try to hurt yourself please”

“I won’t, I promise. I will call you later” she said and the call dropped.

“What happened?” Hayden asked facing me.

“My Mom and dad are getting divorced. My dad have been h itting her and…”

“I don’t even know. Why do men change? I didn’t expect my dad to turn out like that” I said sadly.

“Something might have happened”

“Will you change too?” I asked with an heavy heart.

“I will never h it you Brit and we might fi ght sometimes but my love for you will never change” He said.

“Are you sure?” I asked.

“I promise”

The next day, I came out of the hotel room and almost bumped into someone.

I screamed as I saw who I never expected to see again.

“Layla?” I asked in shock.

“Why do you look like you have seen a ghost” She rolled her eyes.

“Why are you here? Are you stalking me?” I glared at her.

“Why would I do that?”

“You got no other job than chasing after someone else husband” I said.

“That was in the past and I’m not even stalking you. I’m here on a vacation with my boyfriend”

“You have a boyfriend? Why don’t I believe you?”

“That’s your problem” she said and someone joined us.

It was a handsome tall guy. I watched as he held her waist and I cringe. I guess it’s because I don’t like her.

“This is your boyfriend?? How do you get him to date you?” I said bluntly.

“I see you still don’t like me” she said.
“Feeling is mutual” she added.

“Let’s go mason” she told the guy and he nodded giving me a last look and they walked away with his hand on her waist.

I cringe again and entered our room.

“Guess who I just saw” I said to Hayden who was on the bed.

“Who? Sponge bob ?” He asked and I gave him a “really?” Look while he shrugged.

“Layla. She has a ‘boyfriend’ now” I said air quoting the boyfriend.

“I still believe she is stalking me. Like why and how would we be in the same hotel. Some months ago, she was bent on getting you and now she suddenly has a boyfriend. I’m not falling for that” I said sitting on the bed.

“Even if she has a motive. She won’t succeed so don’t worry yourself okay?”

“Fine, I won’t. I just hope I don’t see her again. Her presence annoys me” I said rolling my eyes.

“Be careful so your eyes won’t fall off” he said and I glared at him.

THAT SAME DAY

NIGHT…

We came back to the room after swimming at the swimming pool at the hotel.

I felt his thing on my thigh as he kssed my neck giving me an hickey.

“I love you” he says as he entered me and I gasped.

“I love you too”

Once upon a time, I was just a teenager in love with my classmate. I never have the thought of getting married of getting married to a stranger. I was angry at my parents for deciding to sell me out.

I didn’t want to marry because I thought I was in love with my classmate which I later found out was just a crush.

We got married and in the process, I fell in love with him.

The stranger I never wanted to marry became my husband, best friend, my cuddle mate, my adventure partner and eventually, the father of my kids.
