I felt so awkward and nervous as i ran into the living room and closed the door behind me, I let out the breathe I’ve been holding. I still can’t believe Klye tried kssing me!!!
“He only brushed his lips against yours” my subconscious mind said
I groaned and I ignore it
Kyle’s something else. How could he do all that?.
I sat down on the floor, frowning. Now I won’t be able to face him without feeling nervous and awkward.
I stood up and went to sit on the couch. Since my phone was not with me, I was kinda bored. I checked the time and it’s few minutes to 12pm.
“I should be getting prepare for lunch” I thought
But I can’t go back into that room not when Kyle’s still in there.
“I’ll rather go take my bath in Sheila’s room” you thought
“But how will you get your clothes?” My subconscious mind said
I groaned
I’ll have order one myself, if my phone had been with me. I’ll just tell Alvin to do that for me. I went outside to meet Alvin
“Can you please order a dress for me?” I asked, calmly
“What do you need it for?” He asked
I rolled my eyes
“Just get me a simple dress and shoes and stop asking questions” I yelled at him
“I’m so sorry princess” he cooed
I sigh. I gave him the description of the dress and shoes, I want.
“Send them to room 105” I said and he nodded
I went in search of the room. When I finally found it, I knocked and the door opened
“What’re you doing here. You’re suppose to be ready by now” Sheila yelled
I groaned
“Will you stop yelling and let me in” I said
She chuckled and finally made way for me
“Well, I’ll be taking my bath here. Get my clothes from Alvin when he comes” I said and made to go but she called me back.
“What?” I asked
“Who’s Alvin and why do you want to bath here?” She asked back
“Do you want me to leave?” I asked
“No, no, I’m just curious” she replied
I rolled my eyes
“Remember the guy standing beside my door?” I asked
She nodded
“That’s Alvin. When he comes, take the clothes from him. And don’t ask me anymore questions” I said and found my way to the bathroom
I decided to wash off the spooky dyed hair, I was carrying, since Kyle knows the real me now.
When I was done, I wrapped a towel around my body and one on my head and came out of the bathroom.
“Your clothes are here” Sheila announced
I rubbed my body and dried my hair
“You’ve decided not to be spooky?” She asked
I groaned
“There’s no reason to be spooky. Thanks to you for blowing my cover” I answered with an eye roll
“I didn’t blow your cover” she said
I rolled my eyes
“Just keep shut and let me get dress ok” I said
“Whatever” she replied
I got dressed in the red sleeveless, floral gown and paired it with a black chunky heels. I packed my hair in a messy bun and stood up
“How do I look?” I asked
She smiled
“Nice” she replied
I rolled my eyes at her
Is nice a complement? Huh?
“No make up?” She asked
“Nope”
“Hmm you look good” she said
I rolled my eyes
It’s better than nice
“Let’s go” I said
We left her room and went downstairs
??Kyle??
I got dressed in a black slim-fit jeans and black denim jacket. I wore a red sneaker, and then combed my hair, styling it into a simple style.
I checked myself in the mirror. Satisfied with my look, I wore my gold wristwatch and earring. I noticed I haven’t seen Liyah or even hear her voice.
I went to the living room to check on her but she wasn’t there. I opened the door but Alvin wasn’t outside either. It was another guy, standing there
“Have you seen Liyah?” I asked
He stared at me
“Sorry I mean Princess Taliyah” I said
“No but Alvin said he was taking her clothes to room 105” he replied
Room 105?
“That should be Sheila’s room” I thought
She must have gone there to take her bath because of me. I chuckled. She’ll come back when she wants too. I went back into the room and sat down.
I decided to face time my girlfriend. It’s been a while and I know she’s going to be so angry!.
“Hi baby boo” I cooed but was met with an angry face
I chuckled
“I’m so sorry, i’ve not been calling lately, I’ve been so busy” I said
She frowned
“Busy? You say busy? Busy flirting around with my friend!! How could you Kyle!!” She yelled
I was shocked
“What friend are you talking about?” I asked
“Quit the pretence Kyle. Your pictures are everywhere!!!” She yelled again
I groaned
“Gabrielle, can you just stop yelling and explain, I don’t know what you’re talking about” I said
“Really? You now call me by my name?. You know what, we’re done with this conversation!!” She yelled
“Gabrielle!! Ga…..”
I groaned
What friend is she talking about?
I log in my Instagram and then saw the post. It was Audrey, she was talking about!!
How come I never knew they were friends and what sort of caption is this?:
‘Haters gonna hate but I give no damn!. Believe it or not he’s mine!!’
Is she trying to lay claims on me? Cause I don’t get it!!!
I’m going to confront her and ask her why she posted those pictures with a stupid caption like that!!
“Kyle, it’s time” Alvin announced
I stood up and followed Alvin to the car. I checked inside the car but the princess was not there.
“Where’s Liyah?” I asked
“Still with her friend I guess” he answered
I was about saying something, when I caught sight of her and Sheila. She was dressed in a red floral gown and for the first time, she was with her black hair and no spooky make up.
Even when I met her as Nara, her hair colour was brown. Not even the three stars were on her face.
I chuckled
She looked really cute and responsible. I wish there was someone who could tell her she look more beautiful when she dresses like the princess she is.
She walked past me, trying to avoid eyes contact with me. I smiled. I know she’s not going to feel comfortable with me for a while!!.
“Kyle, get into the car” Alvin said
I chuckled
I finally get into the car and the driver drove off
??Gabrielle??
I cut the call, pissed off with Kyle. How could he cheat on me with Audrey!! Audrey Hepburn of all people? That stupid daughter of a bch!!!
“But she’s your best friend remember?” My subconscious mind said and I shut it up
I flung my phone across the room angrily. How could she? How could Audrey betray me!!! What sort of best friend betrays her friend
“You betrayed her too, remember?” My subconscious mind mocked
I groaned amd shut it up
I’m not going to accept defeat, never!!!
I called my maid and told her to go get me a new phone. I also told my guard to get me a ticket to China. Cause tomorrow, I’ll be going to China. Let’s see who Kyle’s going to pick!!! Me or her?!!
If Audrey wants it hot, then let her expect it hot, cause I gonna be giving it to her extremely hot!!!
But before I go to China, I’m going to visit Audrey’s boyfriend too. I’ll do what she did to Kyle. I’ll do even worse than that. It’s pay back time!!
I got dressed in a bumshort and red off shoulder crop top. I paired it with a red sneaker. I made myself up and checked myself in the mirror for the last time. Satisfied with my look, I headed out
??AUTHOR’S POV??
The car parked, in front of a big and beautiful mansion, painted in white. The car door opened and Taliyah stepped out with Sheila by her side.
She was radiating like the sun. Looking so simple but still beautiful. Kyle stepped out of the car too.
Liyah was staring at him but took her gaze away immediately he turned to face her. You could feel the awkwardness between them.
They found their way into the mansion. Evelyn, Melvin, and Lian were by the door, ready to receive them.
“Hello little sis” Evelyn cooed in surprise
Melvin and Lian, could not hide their surprises too!!
It shocks to see Liyah without her spooky make up and dyed hair
“Maybe something came up” they thought differently
“I know I look different but can you guys stop making me feel uncomfortable” Liyah whispered and they chuckled
“You must be Sheila” Evelyn asked
“Yes, nice meeting you Evelyn. Nara has told me a lot about you” Sheila replied
“Wow but she never told me anything about you. Melvin did” Evelyn replied
Liyah glared at Melvin and he chuckled
“My parents and siblings are waiting at the dining” Lian said
They walked side by side Into the dining room. After the formal greetings, they sat down. Luckily, or rather, unfortunately, Kyle was seated, directly opposite Liyah, making her less comfortable.
During the meal, Melvin noticed the awkwardness between the two as they kept avoiding each others gaze.
Lian, Sheila and Evelyn couldn’t help but noticed it too because it was extremely obvious even when the both of them tried hiding it.
“Liyah, your sister told me you’re here for the exhibition” Lian’s father Mr. Chen said, trying to start a conversation to ease the awkwardness and tension between the kids
“Ye….yes sir” she stuttered slightly
“I’m a lover of art too, last year, I went to Greece for an art exhibition. It was awesome” he said
“Is the exhibition in Athens?” Kyle asked
Mr. Chen was surprised
“Yes. Where you there?” He asked
“Yes I was, I can’t miss that for anything!!. The paintings were awesome” Kyle replied
“Did you see the Lion’s frame?” He asked
“Yes, it symbolizes power” Kyle replied
“The one I love most is the eagles’s. It depicts a lot of things” Sheila said
They all nodded in agreement
“I love the one for nature. Especially the fountain of water” Liyah replied, feeling comfortable now
One thing lead to another. They chatted about other thing to help the others get along.
Mrs. Chen was not left behind, and so are the Chen siblings. The chat went on and on and on. With everybody having one or two things to chip in.
Finally, it was time to go home. They said their goodbyes and headed back to their various home. Although the lunch started with an awkward atmosphere, it ended so well!!!
