She took me back to the kitchen and there I found all the workers busier than bees.
Hold on; am I imagining this or something? Mico Salvatore is here? In ace of spade? In the place where I work?
Oh, God! I could feel my stomach rumbling. My heart was playing jingle bells.
“Alyssa! Whyre you standing there like a heap of sand? Get busy!” Mr Franco broke into my thoughts raucously and I looked for something to do.
Mia looked at me and whispered something to her “partners in crime” and they all laughed.
Whatever.
“More orders are coming in. Mico has just ordered free drinks and food for everyone” Kate said in a low tune.
She was now standing beside me.
“He’s here with his cousins, Alyssa. Have you heard of those cousins of his? They’re twins and they’re so hot, Alyssa! I wish I could see them. They’re in the VVIP room.”
My face was turning all red.
Oh, my crush is here. My sweet Mico. I wish you knew there was someone like me.
“Make sure you’re very careful with those. Ve…ry careful” Mr Franco said to a particular set of waitresses who arranged some food and drinks in trays.
“Alyssa and Kate, get these to table 11” Mr Franco Said in a haste and I carried the trays with Kate.
We got its outside and everybody’s teeth were out.
They were all smiling, talking, giggling…
? Oh my God! How do I get to that room? I really need to see him…
? Oh, Mico! You needed to had seen the way he walked in. He’s really a model…
? I really need a shot with him…
? Oh Mico!
I couldn’t hear any other thing aside Mico, Mico, Mico.
Can you imagine? All these cheap ladies. They should keep fooling themselves; trying to drag Mico with me.
I delivered the trays and headed back to the kitchen with Kate.
“I wish I’d be assigned to the VVIP room, Alyssa” Kate said to me and I rolled my eyes.
Even her? Mtchewwww.
We got back to the kitchen and just as if Mr Franco was awaiting my arrival, he called my name immediately.
“Alyssa, Mia, Rose and mike, quick! Get these trays to the VVIP room immediately. They’re for Mico and his cousins”.
Okay. Now, I think the jingle bells in my heart just turned to horse racing. Tell me it’s a dream.
Did he just mention my name or did he say something like…
“Alyssa! What’re you standing there for? Come on!” He shouted again and I stuttered for words.
“Uh…s…sir, me?” I asked and Kate nudged me.
