Chapter 73
After hearing the drastic news from the doctor, Amy heaved a heavy sigh and locked her fingers together.
” It’s fine, doctor. I understand what you mean and I’m ready to take any risk.” She said.
Xan shaked his head in disapproval and held the doctor’s shoulder turning to face him.
” Doctor. There must be another way out of this, please. Why does it have to be my wife and kids all the time. Why can’t i take part in this?” He asked.
The doctor chuckled and went to have his seat at his table and Xan stood still, watching him from his angle.
” There’s no second explanation to this, Mr xan. I’ve done my job as a doc to save her but nothing is working.
She has a womb defect, not just an ordinary one. You should understand that she’s not capable of bearing you kids” He said.
Xan creased his brows as he swallowed down nothing.
” Oh. Now you tell me she’s not capable of bearing me kids. Few month ago, you said she can’t get pregnant. What exactly are you pointing at?”
” Are you trying to say I’m making up fake excuses for your wife?” The doctor yelled.
” First time you said, she lost too much bI.ood and won’t survive it. She survived and then you said she can’t get pregnant.
Then she had a baby and, you said the baby won’t survive. Now, you tell me my wife or kids need to die in the process. Whose sht are you trying to mess with?” He trotted.
” Leave this hospital if this is what you came here to do, young man.” The doctor said.
” Look. I’m sick and tired of all this. You’d better go back to medicine school and revise your brain before it’s too late for you.” He said and pulled Amy down to her feet and buttoned up her shirt.
” Fake doctor’s everywhere. Can’t believe i made him reveal her skin just for him to stare and salivate.” He mumbled and picked her bag, striding out of his office.
He got to his car and they both got into it quickly, driving out of the hospital yard.
He hadn’t gotten halfway on the road when he stopped to ignite his car at a corner.
” Shit!” He mumbled, raking his fingers into his hair in frustration.
Amy peeked at him and saw that dangerous look on his face again. She couldn’t stand it but look away.
” I can’t believe we’ve been going to the wrong place all along. Everytime we visit the hospital, we tend to return home with sad news.” He said and breath a sigh.
” Does that mean the doctor has been wrong about me?” She asked, making a blink.
” Who knows.” He said and curled his lip into his mouth. ” I guess we should try other doctors the next time we visit the hospital and see the result.”
” Yes. I..i..think that’s the best thing to do.” Amy said.
” I believe we are going to come out of this trauma soon. I…i…can’t carry my child for nine good month and then, i don’t get to see the sweet..sweet babies i’ve been dying my whole life to have.” She said.
Xan smiled a little and looked at her while cupping her full cheeks.
“Let’s pretend like we never heard this news from that doctor and enjoy the rest of the month we get to keep this babies, okay?” He asked and she nodded with a sweet smile.
He leaned down to kss her forehead before looking down at her beautiful face. Her cheeks hadn’t stop flattering pink around him.
She was still dmn shy around her own husband and that was absolutely very cute.
Xan picked up his keys and started up his personal car.
” Where do you think we should go today, sweetie?”
” Like a recreational place?” She asked.
” Yeah. I want us to have some good moment together and stay aside from any worries.” He said. Amy danced her body slowly as she thought 0f an option.
” Well, To the movies!.” She screamed bubbling with so much excitement.
” Movies are great.” Xan said.
At the movies,,
Xan bought a ticket to watch one of the trending movies at that time.
Amy looked through the glass and turned to stare at him with wide eyes.
” Titanic?” She asked, looking at him.
” Yeah of course, i wanted something different, something like acient romance.” He said and picked her hand as he led her into the cinema quickly.
They took the last seat in the roll and wore their conjoined leather jacket, crunching on popcorn and chips.
The light in the theatre shut down immediately and the large Tv screen popped out magnificent colors that filled the face of the viewers.
Amy fed Xan all through the movie and at the end of the show, she found tears trickling down her eyes.
” That was such a great movie. So romantic yet sad.” She said, rubbing her tears.
” You are such a crybaby, wife. I can’t believe you also cry to stuff that never really happened.”
” Well, take it that way. That’s the type of girl you married.” She said, covering her face with her palm shyly.

SUNDAY MORNING.
It was another new month to start with. A beautiful morning at the lewis mansion.
Xan and vixen were standing at the last feet of the stairs with their wife at the top watching them.
” Okay. We’ll count from one to three and then you both walk down the stairs to meet us. First winner get a chocolate bar, okay?” Xan asked.
” I got this!” Katrina said, tugging out her tongue skillfully.
” I don’t get this!” Amy said, trembling at her little feet already.
” Sweetie, just walk down the stairs like you normally do. I’m sure you can do this.” Xan told her.
” But I don’t know why it seems the stairs had suddenly turned longer.” She complained.
” Don’t worry. Just focus on each step, baby!”
” Counting girls. One…Get ready…Go!” Vixen blew the whistle and the pregnant wives began to step down the stairs with ease.
Vixen and xan bit their lips to avoid laughing loud, seeing how potty their stomach was especially for katrina who was a month older than Amy.
” Yes, katrina. Win this for daddy!” Vixen said as soon as katrina struggled to surpass Amy in her steps.
” Amy. You’re trying but increase your speed.” Xan yelled.
” I’m trying. I’m trying!” Amy yelled, scared that she might fall.
Katrina stopped to catch her breath and Amy took the opportunity to walk past her instantly.
” Yes, Amy. You can do this. Come on baby! Yeah!!” xan yelled excitedly as he stretched out his arm for a hug when Amy got closer.
” Gosh, kate. Resting at the peek of the game?” Vixen dwindled, falling his hands in disappointment.
” Seven month pregnancy is not a joke so shut your trap widow!.” She yelled.
