“Haven’t you heard the news?” A nurse asked as she stood at the nurse station.

“What news?” Another asked.

“That doctor Elias is missing” she whispered.

” What? Missing? I thought he is on honeymoon” a nurse said as she moved closer.

“No he isn’t, you can only go to honeymoon when you are married. But he went missing on the day of his wedding”

” What could have happened? “A nurse wondered.

” I don’t know the details in full but some say, he eloped with another lady while others said he was kidnapped”

” I don’t believe doctor Elias would elope. But he is such a gentle guy why would anyone kidnap him? “The new nurse wondered.

” I am just as confused” she muttered.

“You won’t be too confused when you lose your job” chief said making them flinch.

” Chief?!” They called at the same time as they turned to face him.

“Back to work!” He ordered and they rushed out of his sight immediately.

” Chief” the junior doctor behind him called, “did Elias really elope?” He asked.

“He is not that type of boy. He is in love with that girl, he couldn’t have eloped” he said.

They were about to walk away when Iris entered looking all dashing. She was wearing an orange gown which stopped at her mid thigh.

To match it, she wore a sunglass and a black heel that matched her gown.

“Good afternoon” she greeted chief.

“Afternoon” he replied.

” You must be Chief” she said and he nodded his head positively.

“Good, I’m Iris Drake. Elias fiancee” she introduced stretching her hand forward for a shake.

“Nice to meet you” he said as he shook her hand.

” Same here” she replied.

“What brings you here, ma’am?” He asked

“I need your help” she blunted.

“With what?” He asked. This is the first time he will be seeing Iris, he can’t remember having any sort of business with her. So why does she need his help? Especially now that her fiancee is missing.

“Your records” she replied.

“Records?” Both chief and the junior doctor said in unison.

“Yes, I want to know the females doctor and nurses that was not on duty when my fiancee went missing” she explained.

Chief found her request absurd. He chuckled and said, “I’m sorry miss…” He trailed off as he didn’t get her name earlier.

” Drake” she helped him.

“We can’t show our records to anyone especially, strangers that’s not within our policies” he said

” Stranger?” She scoffed, ” excuse me chief,I am no stranger my fiancee is one of the best or should I say the best in this hospital and there is a possibility he eloped with someone.

I want those records now. I am going to kll the bch that dared to se..duce him. And if you don’t show me the records I will burn this hospital to ashes” she threatened and the nurse beside her coughed.

“Need some medicine?” Iris asked with a deadly glare and the nurse shook her head negatively in a sudden manner.

“Good” she muttered and returned her gaze to the chief. “Wanna show me the record or what?”

“Show her the record” he said to the junior doctor.

” I don’t know the record room” he replied.

“I will give you a map” Chief said.

” That will be a waste of time, you should go” he said.

” I am still waiting” she reminded them.

” We will show you the records” he said and held the junior doctor’s hand.

If Iris will kll him, he wouldn’t die alone. He wanted to blame Elias for running away but now there’s no need for that. He already understood why he eloped.

“Breakfast” Romina announced as she walked into the room with a tray of food. She is already dressed for work.

“I just want to go home” he groaned.

“Stop whining like a kid and sit your @ss down to eat” she said placing it on the table.

” Miss Zaragoza, please let me go. My younger siblings must be so worried about me right now. We are orphans they need me” he said, worriedly.

His mind suddenly drifted to them after Romima left. He just wants to see them. He is no longer worried about the wedding or Iris but his siblings.

Who knows what they are going through. They might act stubborn and all grown up but they still need him. Even though they fight all the time, his love for them is obvious.

“Those two kids” she said and he nodded, “yes, a boy and a girl”

“They are in good hands” she said, simply.

He stared at her in confusion, what is she talking about? He inquired,”what do you mean?”

“A lady, the bride, she took them” she explained.

” Iris?” He asked, ” I don’t know her name but I guess yes”

” This is bad” he muttered as he ran his hand down his face.

Iris and the twins are like water and fire, they won’t get along and Iris is going to hurt them with the thought that they are behind his disappearance.

“What’s bad? Isn’t she your fiancee? She is actually a good fiancee than I thought. I mean she was strong enough to take your siblings in” Romima complimented her as she make his coffee.

” You need to release me! I have to leave this place!” He demanded as he walked closer to her.

” I told you, you can’t leave unless your mission here is done” she replied.

” What do you want from me? Why are you keeping me hostage?” He yelled

“I’m not keeping you hostage, I need a favour from you” she replied turning to face him.

He was already sweating even though the AC was on. “And you think this is the right way to ask for a favour? What makes you so sure I will do what you want?” He asked.

” Because it’s what you do” she replied.

He stared at her for a moment and suddenly blunted,”do you have a crush on me? You kidnap me to keep me all to yourself” he stated.

” What?” She scoffed “I don’t have a crush on you, I don’t even like you. I need your help with something” she said.

” With what?” He inquired

” I can’t tell you yet” she replied.

“Why not? You said you need me. I need to know what for” he said and she shook her head sideways.

“I don’t think you are ready” she said walking a some distance away from him.

” I don’t care anymore, I just want to go back to my siblings” he said.

” I will do my best to ensure their safety” she assured and tapped him lightly on hi shoulder. “I might be late for lunch you can try to get some sleep” she said before leaving the room.

What on Earth is this? Why is he in this problem? What does this lady want. He is going to play along with her so that he can escape.

He is worried about Diana and Draco, Iris might not be patient enough with them. They are all in bad shapes.

Iris drove home slowly it was more like she is on a road trip. Two nurses was not on duty that morning and one doctor.

The doctor was transferred while one of the nurse was sick and admitted in the same hospital, so she is technically out of the suspect list. Iris made.

The other nurse had her shift, she has two targets now. The transfered doctor and nurse.

She parked her car and stepped out of it, she could hear the twins argue with her mom from afar.

“We don’t want to stay here!” Diana yelled.

” We want to go to school!” Draco said.

“You guys are not allowed to leave” Nora said. She let them out of the room so that they can have breakfast.

But she wished she didn’t. They have been a pain in the neck. First they requested for something else, she wanted to prepare it but they said they don’t want her too.

She wanted to serve them breakfast and now they want to leave the house.

“Why aren’t we allowed to? We are not some prisoners” Diana said.

” What if you are?” Iris asked as she walked into the house.

” You don’t have the right to keep us here. We are not related and you are holding us against our will, what is it call again..?” Diana asked dramatically

” K!dnapping” Draco answered.

“We can sue you for that”

“To avoid that let us go this instant!” Draco yell.

” I don’t have the energy for you guys so just go back to your room” She utter, calmly.

“We have no room here” Draco stated.

“We want to go back to our house” Diana added.

“Let us go wtch! We don’t want to stay here” they said in unison.

“I have had enough of you! I said shut the fk up!” She snapped, loudly and the twins shiver in fear.
