Romina smiled and stood up. “Zoey?” Nanny Gloria called with her mouth wide open as she stared at the gorgeous lady.
“Yes nanny it’s Zoey,” Romina replied as she hugged her. “I missed you,” Romina added hugging her tighter.
Zoey was brought home by Romina’s dad, she kept her company and they did lots of things together.
Zoey was sent to Canada by Romina after the accident, they have been in touch but only through emails.
She knows about Romina’s mom and about Elias she is like a best friend to Romina or more like a sister.
“How much?” Zoey asked as they disengaged from the hug. “More than you can imagine,” she replied.
“Zoey,” Nanny Gloria called and Zoey went ahead to hug her. “Mrs. Gloria you have lots of great hair now,” she said as they broke from the short hug.
“And you are so grown,” She replied cupping her cheeks. “I guess,” she replied and turned to Romina.
“Can I see Mrs. Zaragoza ( Romina’s mom)?” She requested. “Sure,” she replied and led the way.
Zoey stood by the bed staring at Romina’s mother, she turned to Romina. “There is not much improvement, what has the doctor been doing?” She asked
“He is still studying her,” Romina replied. “You are running out of time,” Zoey said walking away from the bed to the kit on a table.
“I know which is why I brought you here,” she replied and Zoey drew a substance into the syringe.
“What is that?” Romina asked. “This will help her look pretty,” Zoey joked. “Stop that,” Romina scolded.
“This will strengthen her immune,” she replied honestly before stopping the IV, she opened the cap on her wrist and injected it into her.
She studied her for her minutes before letting the Iv flow. “You have improved,” Romina commented.
“All thanks to you,” She replied. “Heading to the office?” Zoey asked.
“Yes but you have to meet the doctor first so you both can discuss mom’s condition,” Romina said as they left the room for her (Romina) room.
They went into the secret room and Elias was startled. “Please knock,” he said not turning around.
“Aren’t you going to work today?” He asked still not turning, he was not expecting anyone other than her anyways.
“Hey,” Romina said and he turned around. “Holy Molly you brought someone else,” he mumble as he started at Zoey who was smiling at him.
“Hi, I’m Zoey. We will work together in Mrs. Zaragoza’s case starting from today,” she introduced and stretch her hand forward for a shake.
Elias was hesitant in taking it. “She won’t bite,” Romina said sitting on the bed and Elias took her hand.
“Hand of a surgeon huh?” Zoey winked at him and he chuckled. “So you were kidnapped on your wedding day and your fiancee is one hell of an actress,” Zoey added as Elias withdraw his hand.
“Big mouth!” Romina screamed and threw a pillow at her which she dodge with ease. “What do you mean by an actress?” Elias asked staring at Zoey who simply smiled.
“Zoey,” Romina called with a harsh glare. “I thought that was her profession,” Zoey said as she picked a textbook on the table.
“I will leave you two now, I’ll tell nanny you are bush with works,” she directed her words to Zoey. “Thanks,” Zoey appreciated as she walked out of the room.
“She is a hard one to deal with, isn’t she?” Zoey asked referring to Romina as she sat on the chair Elias was sitting on.
“Yeah, who are you?” He asked. “The first thing I did was an introduction,” she replied flipping the pages of the textbook.
“How are you related to Romina?” He asked. “Are you her sister?” He asked.
“No, she is my friend,” Zoey replied. “How long have you been friends? She must have trusted you enough to tell you about me,” he said.
“We have been friends since she was nine, she told me about you because I can help,” Zoey gave a brief explanation.
“Why didn’t she reach out to you first if you can help?” He inquired. “I ain’t a doctor nor a nurse but I know enough about medicine to be your first assistant in Mrs. Zaragoza’s surgery,” she replied.
“My first assistant?” He askes. “Yes and you talk too much for a doctor,” she stated.
“Sorry, this is the first time I will be speaking to someone else apart from Romina since I was brought here,” he said sadly.
“You mean kidnapped,” Zoey said. “I would not call it a kidnap since she did it to help a loved one,” he said.
“Kind,” Zoey muttered. “What Is that?” He inquired. “We should work if we want to save Mrs. Zaragoza,” she replied.
“You are right,” he replied and gave her a jotter, in it, he analyzed how they were going to take care of Mrs. Zaragoza.
“Good, I will go through this,” she replied and turned to face the table.

Draco places his palm on his sister’s head checking her temperature, he covered her with the duvet properly and sat back with a sad pout.
“You look funny,” Diana muttered weakly. Draco forced a smile and looked away so she would not see the tears in his eyes.
“I wish Elias was here, he would be of help,” Diana said and let out a weak smile. “You should stop talking and rest,” Draco said still avoiding eye contact with her.
While outside, Nicole walked into the living room without books, she assumed Diana was not strong enough to study and Draco won’t be in the right state of mind either.
“Good morning Mrs. Drake,” she greeted Nora who was sitting on the sofa. “Nicole, morning,” she replied and stared at the door as if she was expecting someone else.
“Is something wrong?” Nicole inquired moving closer. “Iris said the twins are with you I’m just sad you didn’t bring them along,” Nora replied.
“The twins? No, they are not with me,” Nicole denied and Nora stared at her disturbed. “What do you mean? They followed you because they fought with Iris,” she stated.
“No, they didn’t,” she denied waving her hand in protest. “They were missing yesterday and your daughter was adamant that they are fine, I thought it would be wise to inform the police but it was not up to twenty-four hours so they didn’t answer me,” Nicole explained.
“Missing you say?” Nora asked. “Yes, there was a letter,” she answered with her grip tightened on her bag.
‘Didn’t the person return them? Why did Iris lie? Is she hiding something? Could the twins be telling the truth about her involvement in their brother’s disappearance?’ Nicole was lost in thought as a series of questions came to her mind.
“Why aren’t you answering?” Nora asked but Nicole who was lost in thought had no idea of what she was talking about.
Nora judged from the confusion on Nicole’s face and assumed she was confused so she repeated the question. “I asked if you have contacted the police again?”
“No but the kidnapper said they were going to be returned yesterday night,” Nicole replied.
Draco who went to the kitchen to get water for his sister overheard their discussion and asked. “Is someone missing? Who is it?”
“I am hearing voices,” Nora muttered holding her forehead with her other hand on her wrist. “Me too,” Nicole agreed.
“Hello!!” Draco yells and they flinch. “Draco!” They called simultaneously and rush to hug him.
“What is going on? Why am I suddenly the favorite?” He asked as they hugged him tightly.
“Where have you been?”
“Were you hurt?”
“Who kidnapped you?”
“Wow! Wow! Ladies! Calm down!” He snapped and they replied in unison. “We are calm!”
“I don’t think you are,” he said staring at them weirdly, they released a deep breath and he nodded. “Now you are calm, I was not kidnapped what are you talking about?” He inquired.
“I know you must have been startled but don’t worry you are safe now,” Nicole assured. “I am repeating this I was not kidnapped, I think you guys are hallucinating,” he concluded.
Nora turned to Nicole and said. “You are hallucinating,”
“I’m not, I was there yesterday at the hospital,” she muttered scratching her head as she tried to remember what happened.
“That was true, we disappeared but not kidnapped, we left willing and came back here willingly,” he stated.
“I told you!” Nicole snapped her finger happily with a smile that didn’t take long to vanish. “But who took you guys?” Nicole asked and Nora returned her gaze to him too.
“You guys are giving me the stares that say ‘hey Draco we heard you robbed a bank and you are on the wanted list’,” he joked.
“Did you rob a bank yesterday?” Nora asked. “Was there a news that a bank was robbed?” He questioned back.
“Help!” They heard a faint voice, it would have been impossible to hear it If not for the silence.
“My sister!?!”
“Diana?”
They all said in unison.
