Romina looks sad as she walked into the mansion, her heart was hurting as the image of Diana’s pale face keep reappearing in her head.
“You are back,” Nanny Gloria said as Romina walked into the mansion. “Yeah,” she mumbles.
“Zoey has been upstairs since she returned,” Nanny Gloria said. “She must be busy,” Romina replied.
“Are you sick?” Nanny Gloria asked. “Do I look sick?” She questioned back. “No, but you look disturbed,” Nanny Gloria replied.
“I’m fine,” she replied. “Are you sure? You are early too,” she stated. “I am fine nanny,” she replied with an assuring smile and went upstairs.
“This should work, I’m going to get some of it tomorrow,” Romina heard Zoey speak as she stood by the door.
“I can operate on her once she is stable,” Elias replied and they giggled, Romina took a deep breath and opened the door.
“Mina! You are back!” Zoey said excitedly as she rushed to hug her. “Mina? Since when is that my name?” Romina inquired.
“I just called you what I thought to suit you,” she replied. “How far have you guys gone?” Romina asked walking further into the room with Zoey’s arm around her neck.
“Fat enough to know aunt is going to wake up soon,” Zoey replied. “Not before the surgery,” Elias said and Romina faked a smile.
“Zoey Nanny wants you downstairs,” Romina informed. “And bring food on your way back,” Elias added.
“Sure,” she winked and dashed out of the room. “You guys are now closer,” Romina said.
“I kind of understand why you trust her, she is fun to be around and smart,” He started turning to the laptop on the table.
“Is that a laptop?” Romina asked. “It’s Zoey’s,” he replied immediately, she stripped him from anything related to the internet since he was kidnapped.
“Zoey doesn’t need a laptop,” Romina said. “She brought it for me,” he admitted. “Are you angry? He inquired when he heard no reply from her.
“No, it’s fine,” She replied, and now her head. “Is something bothering you?” He inquired sitting beside her.
“It’s about your family,” she replied. “Family? What are you talking about?” He inquired.
“Diana is sick and she needs surgery,” she blurted and Elias could have sworn he felt the world stop for a moment.
“Surgery? What happened? Who is performing the surgery? How is she? Oh my goodness! How is Draco feeling? Iris? Is she okay? It must have been too much for her to bear,” Elias bombarded her with loads of questions.
‘If only you know who Iris really is,’ Romina thought. “Diana wants you to operate on her,” Romina blurted.
“Diana? Me? I don’t understand, how can you know that?” Elias asked, Romina brought out her phone and played the recording of her conversation with Diana.
“You met with Diana? Aren’t you scared of getting caught?…. Or did you tell them the truth?” He asked. “I didn’t tell them the truth but they trust me, I want you to be the lead surgeon in her surgery,” Romina requested.
Elias was more than happy but he had no specific reason for his happiness, he was grateful to Romina too for keeping in touch with his siblings.
“What’s the nature of her sickness?” He asked. “Appendix,” she replied. “It’s a piece of cake isn’t it?” She asked.
“Of course it is, she’s admitted to a hospital, right?” He inquired. “Yes,” Romina replied.
“When is the date for the surgery?” Romina asked. “It has not been decided yet but it will be soon,” she replied
“I’m here,” Zoey announce kicking the door open. “Don’t break the door,” Romina scolded. “Sorry,” she muttered and dropped the food beside the laptop.
“Will this be enough for us?” Elias asked with the thought that they would all eat together. “It’s yours alone,” Zoey replied.
“Mine? What about you guys?” He asked. “I’m going to eat with you,” Romina said. “And ill be in my room working,” Zoey replied about to leave.
“You are going to need the laptop,” Elias said and dashed to the table about to carry it. “You don’t have to, I don’t need it,” Zoey replied and left.

“How do you feel?” Draco asked, he was sited beside Diana on the bed. “Better,” she replied, the oxygen was removed hours ago.
But she was still in the Emergency room. “Where is Miss Nicole?” Diana asked scanning the room.
“Miss Nicole went to get Hamburgers, she should be back room,” Draco replied. “Mrs. Drake (Iris’s mom)?” She asked.
“She went to get something you will be needing until you are discharged,” he answered. “And Iris?” She asked.
“She left hours ago,” he replied. “Why are you asking about everyone? Don’t tell me you want to run away again, I’m not going with you!” Draco snapped meaning every word he said.
“I’m not running away, I am going to wait patiently until the day of my surgery, aunt Romina promises to fulfill my wish,” she replied.
“Aunt Romina was here? I didn’t see her,” he said slightly hurt that he didn’t get to meet her. “I was in the emergency room when she came here, and she promised to fulfill my wish,” Diana explained.
“Your wish? What wish?” He inquired. “I wish Elias will be the lead surgeon in my operation and she promised to fulfill it,” she stated.
“But Elias is missing,” he stated sadly. “How is she going to do that?” He wondered out loud.
“Didn’t aunt Romina ask us to trust her? And no questions? I believe her you should too,” she urged with a faint smile.
“I believe her, I hope our brother returns,” he said and she smiled. “Can you turn off the AC?” Diana requested and he stood up to turn it off.
Nicole walked on a few minutes later with the hamburgers, she fed Diana while Draco are by himself.
They were eating when Nora walked in, she dropped some stuff on the table beside Diana’s bed before taking a seat beside Draco.
“I haven’t seen Iris since I woke up, don’t tell me she has grown a conscience,” Diana said sarcastically and Draco almost laugh.
“You should not talk while eating,” Nicole scolded. “I don’t want to but Mrs. Nora is here but her daughter is nowhere to be found,” she replied.
“She is busy with something,” Nora replied. “Something? She should be here, it is partially her fault that I’m lying here,” she spat.
“I see you now have the energy to talk behind my back, you were fighting for your life hours ago,” Iris retorted as she walked into the room.
“I don’t talk behind other’s back and I don’t lose a fight,” Diana retorted despite Nicole’s effort to keep her shut.
“Good, then you should save your energy, I figured out you are going to need it during your surgery,” Iris spat.
“Aren’t ashamed? You are exchanging words with a twelve-year-old girl,” Nicole snapped at Iris. Diana and Draco were stunned that Nicole spoke back at Iris, they knew her to be the quiet one but here she is about to exchange words with Iris.
“She is not a kid,” Iris replied with a smirk. “That’s right you are the kid here,” Diana uttered.
“Enough! You both should stop! Iris behaves like an adult! Diana stop being rude! You both should try to co-exist peacefully,” she scolded.
“I’m sorry Mrs. Nora, I don’t want to pick a fight with your daughter but she isn’t good at controlling anything, neither her tongue nor her fake emotions,” Diana spat.
“Fake emotions? Did you just call my emotions fake?” iris snapped. “Isn’t it the truth that you are selfish? You care about no one but yourself, that was why you starved us yesterday!” Diana blurted
“She what?” Nicole and Nora questioned in unison. “She’s telling the truth, our suppose sister-in-law here refused to give us dinner even though she is aware of my sister’s health,” Draco walked to Diana’s side as she spoke.
“Is that true? It’s your fault Diana’s condition got worse?” Nora asked. “Why am I always to blame for their misfortune?! If they are not kids then they should take responsibility for their actions! Why pin the blame on me!?!” She yelled and they (the twins) flinch.
“We are not pinning the blame on you! It’s your fault, everything is your fault,” Draco replied.
“Yes, I admit it’s my fault pin all the blame on me,” she retorted and they all kept quiet. “I’m getting tired, you both should stop!” She snapped and turn to leave.
“You think it’s unfair?” Diana asked and she stopped, she turned to face her and ask. “What did you say?”
“You think life is unfair towards you? Do you think we are being unfair? Why have all those thoughts when you brought this upon yourself?” Diana asked.
“You see us as rude brats? We hate Iris? We don’t want her to marry Elias? We are always picking on her? Have you ever asked why?!!” Diana screamed and Iris flinched.
