Episode 13
? Katelyn’s pov ?
Becky and I walked into the office together and I greeted anyone who cares to listen to my greeting and unexpectedly they all replied.
“Uhmm sir…” Becky called the attention of a man standing close to the other two guys operating on the system…
He was dressed in suit and looked elderly.
“Yes Becky..” He answered and stare at us.
“This is a friend of mine… Katelyn and she’s also a computer programmer……do you mind if she give this a trial?,, she’s very good at systems” She said and the man nodded with a smile..
“Sure she can….please…proceed.”
The man replied and made way for me to try with one of the systems..
I nodded and rushed to the table….
I handed my bag and files to Becky before sitting down in front of the desk and and I started operating on the system…
Just like Becky said.
It was so hard logging in the normal way so I decided to use an email account…
I tired using one of the staff’s account but it didn’t work..
Hmmm
It might be that the hacker knew the staffs might want to use their emails to log in so he or she made it impossible.
I signed,,then asked if I should use mine and I was given an approval…
It wasn’t really easy retrieving the account,,the hacker was really good at this but not as good as me.
After using several process my email reopened the page
Perfect it was a success….
Quite simple…
The hacking was not really a strong one I guess…..
Ahh thank goodness!!..
I hurriedly change every information about the page including the password…
I stood up and dusted my shirt.
“Okay…uhmm everyone you can try logging in using this password…” I said and call out the password and everyone hurried to their systems and tried logging in again.
The manager rushed to his office and did same..
“Kathy!” Becky called happily
“You’re truly a genius!! My account is back!! I can now log in!” She said as she stare at her laptop.
“Me too..” Another said
“Same here” A guy also announced.
“Very good…whenever you want to log in…just use your email instead but with this password I gave you” I added and they nodded and just then the manager came in..
“Woah! The page is back…” He said and turn to me while I smiled.
“Uhmm…kourtney..”
“It’s Katelyn sir?” I corrected
“Right Katelyn… thank you so much”
“You’re welcome sir..” I replied and smiled at Becky..
“Let’s talk more in my office okay?” He added and left..
“Thank you Boo” Becky said and hugged me….
Okay it wasn’t really a big deal…
It’s my thing….
“Come on…go ahead Kate” She said and I remembered I was supposed to be at the office with the manager.
I smiled and went ahead

I hurried to the office and found the manager already seated…
“Please have a seat” He offered
“Thank you sir” I replied and took a seat facing his table..
“Katelyn?..”
“Sir…”
“You did a very great job out there” He said and I smiled…
“thank you sir”
“I was told you came for the interview”
“That’s right sir”
“Okay great….tell me about your passed experience” He said and placed a finger under his chin
“Uhmm..I haven’t really worked with an organization before…I don’t have any experience sir….”
“Hmm…” He hummed softly
“But sir…I assure you if you hire me I’m gonna do my possible best to make the company grow” I assured and he sighed.
“Uhmm what’s your school level?”
“I’m a university graduate sir…”
“Hmmm What university?
“Oxford sir”
“Woa.. really??..Curse??”
“Computer engineering sir…” I replied and he smiled.
“That explains why you were so good back there” He said and I smiled…
“Uhmm… so why haven’t you applied for jobs since you graduated?”
He asked and i chew my nails.
That’s a big question….
“Well sir….I’ve never had it in mind to work under an organization before,,and secondly I’ve been taking care of my daughter” I replied and he nodded…
He went through my application letter and some other informations and nodded.
“Okay Katelyn… you’ve proven to be a good programmers….and I want you to be in charge of the company account…”
Wait what???
What does that mean!!!
I’m I hired!!!
“Katelyn I want you to start working on Monday…you’re hired.”
He added and my eyes beamed…
I almost screamed but stopped myself.
I’m hired!!!!

? Dylan’s pov ?
I walked down the stairs and met Red on the dining eating at same time working on something on the system…
Does this guy even rest??
He’s always on his system…
His eyes are gonna go blind one day form staring at too much system lights
“Still working on the new project??” I asked and stole from his food taking out a piece of beef.
“Heyyy…” He tapped my hand and took the tray of food away…
“Don’t be stingy Red…” I warned and he rolled his eyes…
“Are you almost done?”
“No still on it” He replied and drink his juice
“Really?? Since when?”
“Dylan! Do you know that you should be the one working on this!!” He snapped and I laughed
“Oh come on… we both should be doing it and I’ve helped you alot” I replied and drank his juice
He gave me a deadly look…
“Really?! How did you help?? By sleeping all day?? You told me that today was a day off and was for this project but you’ve just been watching me work on this all day”
“Point of correction… I’m your elder brother and also your boss,, so you should be doing all the work as the junior one.. I’m I right??” I said and he $pank the back of my head
“Heyyy what’s that for!”
I held the back of my head and moved away from him…
He act like he wanted to bunch me but stopped in mid air and I laughed.
“This is not fair mhen,,you should be helping me,,I haven’t even had time to have my lunch can’t you see” He acted like he wanted to cry and I laughed…
“Alfred please….just continue,,I’ll help you later but for now? I’m going for a ride…” I said and took the keys from the table
“Hey! Stop right there! What do you mean by going for a ride! We need to finish this!” He half yelled and I chuckled…
“Oh come on the sun is out…and I really need a cool ride… I’ll join you when I’m back” I said and he stood up
I ran out of the house before he could get to where I was.
“Dylan!!!!!!”
He yelled and I rushed into one of the cars and started the ignition and ordered the gate man to open the gate.
Alfred ran out of the house and I drove out quickly before he catches up……
“I’ll kll you Dylan!! I swear!!”

? Katelyn’s pov ?
I rushed inside with beaming smiles and dropped my bag on the couch…
“Sylvia!!!” I called and she came running down along side with mum…
“Cute Mummy!” She called back.
“Oh my baby!!” I beamed and pulled her in a hug …
She laughed happily
“I missed you so much mum”
“You did?? I missed you more! But it’s just two days”
“I know…I know it’s more like two years” she said and I laughed.
“Hi mum” I greeted and hugged her too.
“Hi dear…so how did it go??” she asked and I know she was asking about the job stuff
I smiled and her eyes beamed!!
“Did it work out??” she asked and I nodded..
“Oohh my child!!” She said happily and hugged me again
“I’m so happy for you”
“Thank you mum”
I knelt in front of Sylvia…
“We’re going out today darling..”
“Really mum were??” She asked happily
“Anywhere of your choice ” I replied and brushed her front hair with my fingers….
“Hmm did you do something wrong mum?? Why are you treating me out on a date??” She frowned her brows and I laughed…
This kid…
“No no…it’s just that mummy got a job today and I want to treat you out because I’m happy”
“Really mummy?? You got a job?? Yeeehh!!” She jumped up and down and pecked my cheek.
“Wait for me okay…I’ll go change my clothes” she said and ran off..
While mum and I laughed….
“I’m happy for you Kate” Mum said and I rested on her shoulder.
“Thank you mum”
