Jasmine’s pov ?
Mike’s kitchen….
I quickly dived in a corner when I saw Adele heading my way, she pouted her lips and was murmuring to herself.
Elvis most have provoked her, or maybe someone else did.
A relief sigh left my mouth after she’s gone, thankfully, she didn’t notice me…or I couldn’t have been able to explain it.
Without wasting time and making sure nobody else saw me, I took long strides towards Thanatos office.

Thanatos lifted his head, when he heard the sound of his door being slammed open.
A frown was on his face as if he was ready to yell at the intruder, but he quickly wiped it off when he realized it’s just me.
He smiled at me instead, showing he’s happy to see me.
I turned around and locked the door from inside, then turned back to face him… I leaned against the door.
Wait…why did I just locked the door? Didn’t I decide we’re just gonna talk about Davis?
“Baby, what are you doing here? Aren’t you supposed to be resting at home?” He asked me.
I shook my head and bite my lower lip. How am I supposed to rest at home when he’s invaded my dream?
Making me feel all hot and bothered, I came here to finish what he started in my dream.. no!
Why do I keep forgetting about the main reason I came here…to talk about Davis.
Yes, Davis… He’s the only thing between us.
Whatever, we can talk about Davis when we get home, but for now….
“Are you ok, baby?” He asked.
“We…I.. let’s…”
Why the stuttering, Jasmine? Why can’t I just say the words?
He got up and walked towards me, my eyes kept flicking to his lower body.. until he’s standing in front of me.
He placed his hands on both sides of the door, caging me there..
“You don’t wanna tell me why you’re here?” He asked.
As if I was under a spell that’s compelling to speak, I opened my mouth and started spouting out whatever comes out.
“I came to negotiate with you” I finally spoke what’s on my mind without stuttering.
He raised an eyebrow.
“You came to negotiate with me?”
I nodded.
He narrowed his eyes slightly, tilted his head and glanced at the door I just locked.
“You wanna negotiate with me? Then why did you locked the door?”
I didn’t reply, not because I didn’t want to…but because I have nothing to say at the moment.
“I was having dirty thoughts, when I saw you locking the door… ”
“Let’s be fk buddies!” I blurt out.
He stopped talking for a brief moment and just stared at me, then he blinked.
“Fk buddies?”
“Yeah… ”
I sighed, he tilted his head like he doesn’t understand and wanted me to throw more light.
“… listen, it’s not possible between us now, I don’t even think it can ever be possible between us…”
I trailed off and studied his expression, he’s waiting for me to finish my words.. so I continued.
“… but that doesn’t mean we’re enemies. We can just be friends with benefits, we can satisfy each other’s desires..
He stared at me in silence, his eyes looking directly in mine as he searched for God knows what.
I’m impatiently waiting for him to give a reaction, any reaction but he doesn’t…he just continued staring at me.
He finally gave a reaction, he shook his head and I frowned slightly.
“What?”
“I don’t wanna be that buddy with you”
“Why? Am I not attractive enough?”
He shook his head again, I almost took offense until he spoke.
“You don’t get it, baby, I don’t want you to be my fk buddy.. I want you to be my wife” he said. “I wanna start a family with you and Davis.. I want us to be a complete family” he added.
“A complete family after five years? That’s not possible…. ”
“Why?” He cut me off. “Why isn’t it possible?”
“Five years is gone, it’s too late to start any family with us”
His eyes saddened at my words, but I didn’t stop talking.
“Thanatos, this is the best way you can be involved in our lives.. just be my buddy.. maybe with time, we might… ” I trailed off.
I don’t wanna promise what I can’t do.
We might have a chance together later, but for now… I want us to be beneficial friends.
“But baby…”
“It’s fine if can’t agree to my proposal” I cut him off.
I shut my eyes and took a deep breath, I’m not gonna let my trip here be in vain… I think $eduction is the best spokesman now.
I pulled down the zipper of my large jacket, that covers my knees… I slide it down, revealing my short, red bikini.
Thanatos flicked his eyes towards me, he gulped and stared at it hungrily..with so much lvst.
I smirked secretly, my plan B is working just how I want it.
“I understand…I can just find someone else who’s ready to….”
He slapped his hand over my mouth, muffling my words.. he narrowed his eyes at me.
“Don’t you dare!” He growled.
He removed his hand and replaced it with his lips, his lips…..

“Baby, that was wow! You’ve improved immensely than I remember… don’t tell me you’ve been practicing with other men”
I rolled my eyeballs, as I noticed jealousy dripping off his words.
“There’s no need to be jealous, wether I practiced with other men or not..it shouldn’t be business…after all, we’re just buddies.. no strings attached!”
He scoffed.
“We aren’t fk buddies and there are lots of strings attached!” He said.
I grabbed his flesh randomly and pinched him very hard, he hissed in pain.
“I said we’re fk buddies, that’s it!”
“Yeah, yeah, whatever you say” he grunted out and I let go
We stayed in a comfortable silence, just cuddled up in each other’s arms.. until Thanatos spoke.
“We should go freshen up, baby. Someone might knock on the door”
I sighed. “I’m tired, I wanna rest for a while”
“Freshen up first, you can rest afterwards” he said.
He’s right, I’ll get a nice rest after freshening up.
I got up and headed towards the bathroom, don’t ask me how I knew it.. I just guess any other door here might be either a bathroom or a small resting room.
“Where are you going?” I asked when I noticed Thanatos is following me.
“To freshen up”
“How many bathrooms do you have here?”
“One”
I eyed him. “Then stay here and wait until I’m done”
He frowned.
“But we can save water if we just bath together”
Me and Thanatos bathing together.. no, that’s not gonna end well.
“No, stay here and clean the be d up.. I’ll rest here for a while”
He turned and glanced at the be d, he turned back to me with a teasing smirk.
“What’s there to clean?
His ears turned red and I smirk, he wanna tease me when I have many ways to tease him.
“Clean the b ed up, I’ll be out in a few!” I said and dashed into the bathroom.

Adele’s pov ?
“Hey! Adele!” I heard one of my coworker called me…his name is Barnabas.
I stopped and waited for him to come closer, he stopped he in front of me.. he’s carrying a tray of drinks.
He must be serving a table.
“What’s up?” I asked.
“I thought Jas was on a sick leave” He said.
I nodded. “Yeah”
He frowned.
“Then why did I saw her going into the CEO’s office?” He asked.
Jasmine came and went to Mr O’Briens’ office…and I didn’t know about it?
I tilted my head and stared towards the office.. or could it be Barnabas is mistaking someone for her?
“You didn’t know she came to work?”
“I know, she told me earlier” I replied.. just to make him stop asking too much questions.
“Oh.. ok, I should go deliver these drinks”
“Alright” I gave him a smile and he left.
I rolled my eyeballs, then looked towards the office again.
I don’t think Jasmine’s inside that office, she would have told me on phone if she wanted to come.. Barnabas must be seeing things.
My phone suddenly beeped, I reached for it and a message was glaring at me on the screen.
*Newlife night, 7pm… Don’t keep me waiting*
Hmm, this must be from that s¢umbag! I’m not gonna go, he’s gonna wait on his dead great-grandma.
I shoved my phone back in my pocket, but paused when an idea popped up in my head.
I think I know what he wants, since I don’t have money to pay for his shirt… there’s only one thing he needs from me.
“On a second thought, I’ll go see him and make him regret ever humiliating me in public!”
I narrowed my eyes.
“I’ll make sure, he never produces any kids in this life!” I released an evil laugh.
