My heart raced as he continued coming towards me, as he got to where I was, he walked passed me.
I felt tears roll down my cheeks.
Mara it’s okay Anna said holding me.
I nodded my head and cleaned my tears, I looked back and I saw Mabel’s friend Alvira wrapping her hands around him, it seems they are dating.
Are they dating I asked Anna.
They have been dating for a year now before you came and they suddenly broke up she explained.
Oh I said as I bit my fingers nervously.
You don’t have to cry Mara no matter how long’s it takes, you just have to wait for him. Anna said and I nodded.
The principal walked into our class moment later.
Good morning class she greeted
Morning ma they all replied.
You know you are all in your final year in high school and as we normally do it, we are all going for an excursion and we are gonna spend a week there. She said and they all started screaming, even Anna was giggling beside me.
Silence she screamed and everywhere became quite.
You guys all know the amount to be paid she said and they all nodded, and as for you Tamara someone already paid your bills she said.
And who did that nonsense, does this school look like a Charity home. I can see someone paid because you can’t afford to. Not to talk of eating three square meals a day. You really came from the generation of poverty. Mabel said and everyone burst into laughter.
I just dropped my head down.
Mabel, did you have to say that? The principal asked.
You just give your announcement and get the fk out of here. Mabel yelled at her.
I can see you really left your sense at home, you lack home training, you have no manners, your parents really did a bad job training you because the idi0t who claims to be rich is senseless. I said as the class burst into laughter.
How dare you talk back at me she yelled but Danny held her.
It seems you are forgetting, maybe I should remind you that am not the cause of your misfortunes or misrable life. Am not the reason you dad doesn’t loves you, or should I say he chooses me over yo. I said as tears rolled down her eyes.
Mara, thats enough Anna said trying to close my mouth but am not having any of that.
Mara, I wouldn’t let you insult my girlfriend Danny said.
Dan don’t try getting on my nerves, you better shut that thing you call mouth. I said and everyone gasp.
Mara and Mabel you both should meet me at my office during break the principal said and walked out.
Mabel hoffed and sat down, Jay was just quiet looking at us, I Know Danny is really mad at me now.
Break time
The class was boring, I stood up since it was break time, I needed to see the principal.
I would keep your lunch Anna said as we parted ways.
I walked towards the principal’s office and I knocked on the door, come in I heard her say from inside.
I entered and Mabel was already seated, ma you sent for me, I said.
Why did you have to cause such disturbance in class she yelled angrily at me.
But ma she started it I said trying to defend myself.
Just shut up your useless mouth you fool, you are not happy you are on scholarship here, Mabel owns a part in this school and can cut you off.
But you had the right to shout at her she said angrily.
Am sorry I said as tears poured from my eyes.
Keep your sorry to yourself and get out of my office she said and Mabel grined happily.
I walked towards the school garden, I got there and Jay was also there.
Jay I screamed and ran to hug him, his colonge filled my nose, how much I miss him.
Who are you he asked as he turned around.
Jay don’t you know me, it’s Mara I said and he looked at me.
Are you sure you are okay miss he said standing up.
I stared at him as tears filled my eyes, I didn’t know when it happened, but I found myself kssing him, g0sh he kssed me back, we both fought for dominance with our l!ps, he gr@bbed my wa!st softly, soon we pulled apart.
Am sorry for that he said going away.
Jay please don’t leave I said crying.
I don’t know you please stop pestering around me that kss was a mistake he said and walked away.
Jay’s Pov
I walked away hurridely, because I don’t know what my body is telling me, feeling like am attached to her.
Man why do you look so troubled Danny said as he got to where I was.
Dan please tell me the truth, who is that Mara to me I asked.
She’s just a student here, he starmmered.
And why did Mabel say that someone paid her bills I asked, I don’t know when she entered the school, I can’t remember anything about her. I asked frustrated, or did I lose my memory I asked him.
Of course not dude stop thinking silly he said.
Mara’s Pov
Later at night
I cried my eyes out, I couldn’t go home.
When will all this en? I checked my phone and it was 30 missed calls 20 from Liam and 10 from Anna. I looked at the time, it was 8:30p. Just then my phone rang and it was Anna.
Hello I said as I picked up.
Mara Please come out, I know you are still in that school she said, something terrible happened.
What’s that I asked scared.
Come now she said and cut the call.
I hurridely rushed to the class and took my bag, I rushed out and she was there.
I entered and she started driving without saying a word.
Why are you going to my coffee shop I asked but she kept quiet.
I saw flames coming from the direction of the coffee shop, let it not be what am thinking but as we got there it was mine. My coffee shop was burnt to the ground.
I saw Liam walking around worriedly.
Take me to Mabel’s house I said.
Why she asked.
Now! I screamed at her as hot tears poured down from my eyes.
Moment later, we parked in front of a big mansion.
We knoced on the gate and the gate man came out.
Your madam said we should visit her I said and he led us in.
The house was just like heaven but I didn’t let that get to me.
You have done your worst right I said tears poured from my eyes, they were about having dinner, I could see the maids watching from the kitchen. I could see the shock on their faces.
What are you both doing here! Mabel screamed at us.
I just came to congratulate that thing you call mother, because she’s gonna pay for burning my coffee shop I said crying.
Get out of my house the wtch screamed at us.
No matter how long it takes, karma would surely catch you up for the bad things you have been doing to me you would pay. I said as I stormed out of the house in tears.
