“Father is dead mother”
The glass cup in her hand fell and shattered to pieces
“What!!!”
Tasha bent her head
“How did it happen?” Georgia asked
“It’s a long story”
“Then cut it short!!!” She snapped
Tasha took her time and explained everything to her. After Tasha’s explanation,her mother burst into tears
“I know they did the right thing but they should have pitied him”
“Pitied him? Mother,that would have gotten us all killed. Father was blinded by what he wanted to achieve and could have hurt anyone” Tasha said
“I have a feeling that you’re happy with your father’s death” Georgia snapped
“How can you say that? He is my father and I cared about him same way you did”
“If you cared about him, why are you talking about his death like it’s a normal thing?”
“No I’m not. I am hurt too but father had to pay the price for his evil deeds. Do you think I’m happy about all these? I’m hurt as well mother. It’s not easy loosing a loved one” Tasha said in tears and her mother felt bad
She enveloped her in a warm hug
“I am sorry for transferring my aggression on you my lovely daughter. It’s just that the death was a shocking thing to me. I never expected to come back from my trip and hear that my husband is dead”
“I’m sorry too mother. I should have told you earlier”
“Zaki has really disappointed me. I never knew he could be this heartless. I won’t blame them again dear. Stop crying,you know I hate seeing your tears”
Tasha sniffed
“Does this mean you’ll forgive them?”
“In as much as I am deeply hurt about your father’s death I still forgive them. Besides it wasn’t their fault. It’s his fault for fighting and killing people over what doesn’t belong to him” Georgia said
“Thank you mother”
Georgia sighed
“I need to apologise to the King on his behalf”
“Yes but that won’t be today again. It is late already” Tasha said wiping her mother’s tears
“Okay”
“Mummy” Trevor called running down the stairs
“Careful” Tasha said and quickly caught him before he fell face first on the hard floor
He looked up and stared at her with his cute blue eyes. He couldn’t fathom where he had seen this face before
“Mother? I think Trevor doesn’t know who I am anymore” Tasha was sad while Trevor clinged to his mother still staring at her
“Don’t be silly. Of course he knows you”
“No he doesn’t. Look at how he is staring at me like I’m a total stranger”
“Trevor look at her. Do you remember the person we always video chat with?” She asked him
“Yes” He nodded
“That’s her over there”
Trevor left his mother and looked harder at Tasha
“Sis Tasha?” He twitched his brow
“Yes. She is the one”
That was when it all became clear. He ran and hugged Tasha
“Awwn thank goodness you remembered me. I almost had a heart attack. My,look how big you’ve grown”
“I ate alot of vegetables. Mum says it helps improve my growth system” Trevor smiled
He was such a cute and handsome 12 year old. An exact replica of his father
“That means you’re very intelligent then” Tasha said
“I’m super intelligent”
“Wow” Tasha said
“So where is daddy? Mum said we were coming to see him” Trevor asked and Tasha coughed
“Um…Trevor dear,daddy traveled and won’t be back for a while” Georgia said
“Okay. I’ll be waiting for him then. I just hope he comes back soon so I can show him the comics I drew” He said going back upstairs
“That was a close one” Tasha breathe out in relief
Georgia burst into tears again and Tasha comforted her.
Later that night,Tasha called Helen to inform her that all has been taken care of.

2 DAYS LATER
THE PALACE
Chris and the rest were still there. Georgia walked into the palace with Trevor and Tasha. Immediately she got to the throne of the king,she went on her knees
“Long live the King. I have come today to apologise for the chaos caused by my husband. It hurts me to know that he was involved in such shenanigans and I’m sincerely sorry on his behalf” She said in tears
“Come on Georgia. Please stand up. It wasn’t your fault. We should be the one apologizing for your husband’s death” The King said
“No my king. I will apologize”
Queen Zara stood up from her throne and raised her up
“Please Georgia. It is fine” Queen Zara said and Georgia hugged her emotionally
It wasn’t easy loosing her husband. She has come to accept the fact that she would never see him again
“We will give him a befitting burial” The King said
“Thank you so much my king. Where is Helen?” She asked
“She is in the garden with prince Derrick and the rest” The King replied
“Okay” She sniffed
“Come on. Let’s go for a walk. It will ease your tensed muscles” Queen Zara said and Georgia nodded
Tasha took Trevor to the playground in the palace. She ordered some guards and maids to watch over him before going to the garden.

THE GARDEN
“So you’re trying to tell us that you now have feelings for Tasha?” Stanley asked Chris
“Yes” He replied and they laughed
“That’s serious. So are you sure if she likes you back?” Derrick asked
“No but if she doesn’t,I will make sure she does” Chris replied
“How? By giving her a love potion?” Kira asked resting her head on Stanley’s chest
“No” Chris said immediately
“What even made you like her in the first place?” Helen asked
“She is not too nice,she is tough,got great fighting skills,beats princes up and mostly beautiful” Chris said
“Wow. I’m blushing already” Tasha said walking towards them
“Did you eavesdrop on our conversations?” Stanley asked
“Maybe I did,maybe I didn’t but I heard everything” She said
“That means you did hear us” Stanley said
She smiled
“So what are you going to tell Mr Lover boy?” Derrick teased
“Let me think about that” She said
“Beat him up”Stanley said
“Why?” Chris asked
“Because she beat me up” Stanley said
“I beat princes. You’re a prince Stanley. That’s why I dealt with you but Chris isn’t a prince so I will spare him besides he is cuter than you” Tasha teased
“That’s a lie” Stanley retorted and they laughed
Helen sighed
“I’m glad everything is back to normal” Helen said
“Yes me too” Tasha said and rested her head on Chris shoulders then he smiled
“So cute. Let’s give them some time to themselves” Derrick said and they left leaving Chris and Tasha
Things were finally falling back to place.
