“Hmm… Huh” Harold was speechless and kept Itching the back of his neck

“Talk to us!” Granny Teresa cut in sharply

“I don’t know..” Harold was about saying but Jessica beat him to it

“Mum that isn’t the matter now okay” she said, uncomfortable with the awkward atmosphere

Teresa looked at her for a few seconds before diverting her gaze back to Harold

“I really want to confirm my suspicions” she suddenly said

“Huh..”

“What do you mean” Harold blinked repeatedly, batting his long lashes cutely

“What’s between you both?”

“Are you both dating?…” Paisley and Teresa asked at once like it was planned

Harold’s heart skipped many beats at once on hearing the question

Jessica managed to force a smile as paisley’s gaze landed on her

“Com’on mum, there’s nothing between us… Besides he’s only like a brother to me, I can’t date my brother of course” she said

Harold felt so pained and hurt on hearing that statement at that instant

“What?!”

“I’m only like a brother to her?, so she doesn’t feel the same way for me”

He thought hurtfully

He turned to her, hoping she would see the pain in his eyes but to worsen it she only shrugged without a sober expression

He stood up and walked away immediately, picking up his backpack

“She never loved me..” those words kept ringing in his head

Minutes Later

“Harold?” She knocked for the umpteenth time but he refused to respond again

Jessica sighed, heaving a deep sigh

“Harold, open the door please, I need to see you” she knocked again but he didn’t reply as usual

She decided to push the door open and surprisingly, it wasn’t locked

She entered fully and her eyes caught him, sitting on the bed with tears in his eyes, obvious that he had been crying..

She gasped, rushing to him immediately as she sat beside him

“What’s wrong..” she asked curiously and of course.. worriedly..

“Please leave, I wanna be alone” he said in a low voice

“Leave please” he interrupted when she was about saying something

“Talk to me Harold, what’s wrong” she insisted

He raised his head, and looked directly into her eye

“Will you tell me the truth” he said, sniffing

“What truth..” She asked confusedly without breaking the stare

“Will you..?” he asked again

“Yes…” She nodded slowly

“Do you really see me just as a brother..?”

Frenchman Hotels..

“I said I need a room for accommodation” the lady said again through the mask, sounding so impatient and kept looking around suspiciously

She wore s black face mask that covered part of her face alongside with a black nose mask and was cladded in an oversized long gown

“I’m sorry ma’am, there are no extra rooms anymore, the suites have been occupied by large families planning a ceremony” the receptionist lied, feeling so uncomfortable and a bit scared.

She couldn’t see the real identity of the lady standing right in front of her desk and therefore can’t be so careless to endanger anyone’s life

“What the h’ll are you insinuating” The familiar voice spoke in annoyance

“I just told you that there’s no vacant room’ the receptionist retorted

“Are you crazy or something, how dare you drive a customer away just because of your non chalant attitude” the masked lady yelled.. breathlessly as she looked around again

“Ma’am please, you’re disturbing other occupants” The receptionist reprimanded with a frown

“Do you know who I am?!” The masked lady h!t her fists hard on her desk

“Ma’am, please I suggest you leave now to avoid further embarrassment” the receptionist said bluntly, ignoring her question as she diverted her gaze back to the computer

“Just wait till I’m finally settled, I’ll feed your bones to the dogs” the lady thought, breathing in fury

She walked out of the building and entered a small Peugeot Citroen that had no plate number, driving off immediately
