SEASON 2 EPISODE 20

Lilian and Rose had been video calling for two hours non-stop.
You could tell their chat wasn’t boring as they laughed, giggled and joked all through.

“Ehe babe, how is your waiting period now?” Lilian asked, recalling the main reason she called.

“Omooooooo, it’s the most exciting period of my lie, I tell you. By God’s grace, I’ve discovered my talent and since…..”

“Oh really? What’s that?” Lilian cut in.

“Tailoring.”

“Oh…..wow. Okay, I remember how easy that stuff was for you then in school during one skill aquisition program like that.”

“Abi o….who would’ve thought that was the little treasure in me, waiting to be discovered.”

“Abi….but how did you know that was your talent? Like….you know it’s a common skill so how did you get to know this is ‘the one’?” Her ever inquisitive friend asked as Rose smiled, imagining she was being interviewed.

“Well, I know I’ve always had extra interest in this skill. I figured I found the new lessons taught back then in school really interesting and easy to learn, as opposed to how others saw it- boring and stressful.”

“Hmmm…yeah, that’s true. You really liked it then. But how did you get the insight that this could lead to your purpose in life?” She queried.

“Now that’s where God comes in.” Rode said dramatically as they both giggled.

“I honestly had no idea, I didn’t pay any special attention to the skill either. To me, it was just some side hustle I engaged in to make ends meet.

One thing I’ve been made to understand is that the gift or skill is never hidden.

It must’ve been expressed in one way or the other, or at one point in life and at that time, you may not have had knowledge of the fact that it could be pointing to your purpose because it seems to be very common or something.

It is now when you draw closer to God and pray concerning your purpose in life that He’d direct your attention to it and give you clear insights and you’d be like ‘woooooooow, so I had it all these while and I never knew it.’

So the insight you’d receive on how far such talent could take you and the opportunities that’d come from it if you have faith and are ready to put in the work, makes the whole difference.

That’s what I’ve learnt.
The talent is in you, so you don’t expect God to come down and reveal something that you’ve never had the idea of before.

The only thing He does is call your attention to that skill and reveal great and mighty things about them to you.” Rose explained.

“Hmmm……our lecturer!” Lilian hailed

“No whine me jare.”

“Omooo, my battery don low o. For how long have we been chatting sef?” Rose said as soon as a notification popped up on her screen.

“Uhmmm….a couple of hours? Like 3hrs and 15mins.”

“Jesus Christ! That’s a whole lot of time babe.”

“Yeah but who cares? It’s weekend.”

“Yeah but still, one could use that time to be productive at least.”

“Lol….I see you’re beginning to get time conscious already. Omo, you’ve changed o.

This discovery of you talent has changed you completely faa.”

“Really? I didn’t notice any change though.”

“You’re asking me? Have you forgotten we gist for longer hours back then and you never complained?”

“Lol….babe that was then. Now, time na money, and we must invest am.”

“Hmm okay o….I’m happy for you sha. God has really made your waiting period worthwhile.”

“Abi na….but where is your husband; because this one you have this much time at your disposal…..”
