She laid beside me. I said a short prayer, hoping that the feeling I had before wouldn’t amount to anything. I closed my eyes to sleep, though I’m sure that Nicky was still staring at the ceiling in worry.

FINDING REMEDY: Chapter 21 – 30
The next morning.?
I opened my eyes only to see Alex smiling down at me, I smiled back and sat up on the bed.
“Good morning beauty” he greeted politely but that didn’t stop me from seeing the pain in his eyes.
“Alex what is it?” I asked him in concern.
“Mmm, nothing, I’m fine” he shrugged.

I looked him over from head to toe and that was when I noticed little scratches on his arms, I touched them and he flinched.
“Lex what happened to you?” I asked in total fear.
“It’s nothing serious, I’ll be fine” he replied.
“What do you mean it’s nothing serious, you….” As I was talking Nicky walked into the room, where did she go though?
She was carrying a bowl which was oozing out smoke and I didn’t need to be told that it was hot water. I bet she knows what happened.
“Nicky what happened to him?” I asked.
“He was attacked last night when he went hunting” she replied with frowny face. She’s definitely angry about something.
“Attacked by who” I asked her as I sprang up from the bed, I rushed to her and collected the bowl of water from her, I noticed there was white rag in it.

I sat beside him, I picked up the rag, I wrinkled it a little to press out small quantity of water, it wasn’t that hot though.
“No one is saying anything, you were attacked by who?”I asked again.
“Some lycans” Alex replied.
“Where?”
“In the city park when he went hunting” Nicky replied.
“Maybe they felt like you were going to catch someone they already wanted” I shrugged as I clean his hands “is this water sanitised?” I asked Nicky and she nodded.
“Or maybe Caspian sent them” Nicky stated in anger.
“They are from this pack” Alex muttered in sadness.
“What do you mean, they are from this pack, do you know any of them?” Nicky asked.
“Not in person, but I know their wolves, they are from this pack” he replied.
“But why?” Nicky asked as she paced around.
“I’ve already told you guys, maybe he wanted to eat someone they already wanted and they couldn’t accept it, so they had to fight him” I snared as I continued cleaning Alex’s hand.

Nicky came and squatedd in front of me and asked “Andra deep down your heart, do you think you believed what you just said?”
Alex chuckled a little, I hit him, he groaned in pain.
“Of course I do” I shrugged.
“You are a sneaky liar” she snared and stood up.
“Well what do think?” I asked her.
“She said to him …’if i were you, I would do the same’, knowing fully well that Alex will accept that, she lured him out of the pack where he won’t have any protection from his fathers soldiers or any other good Lycan, it was a damn plan alright” she stated as she paced around.

Alex and I watched her like surprised hawks.
“Nicky what are you talking about?” Alex asked her.
“I’m talking about Lenny, she has been acting up ever since we started this whole process, and now this” she fired.
“What are you insinuating?” Alex asked.
“I am not insinuating anything, I am stating a fact that The Lenny of a girl has a deadly spider up her sleeve, she lured you out last night, their plan might have been to get you out of the pack, get you killed and then claim it was an attack” Nicky argued.
“So you are saying Lenny planned to kill me?” Alex asked, but he doesn’t look so convinced, neither am I.
I mean,I’m aware that Lenny doesn’t like me and if she would want anyone dead then it’s me, not Alex, I suspected that the reason why she hates me is because she likes Alex.
“Nah, Lenny doesn’t like me, it used to be she and Caspian, they were good friends, at a time everyone thought they were mates, but it all went to flames when Caspian went nuts, Lenny hated him and wouldn’t want to have anything to do with him” Alex explained.
“That’s what y’all think, or perhaps that’s what they made you people believe” Nicky snared. “I can bet on my cute tail that those two still contact each other” she added.
“Nicky stop letting your mind run wild, this palace will not contain it” Alex stated. “Lenny knows better than to betray this pack” He added.
“It’s not about betrayal, it’s about love, you can’t leave someone you love stranded” She argued.
“Neither can she love someone who’s not her mate” Alex insisted.
Nicky sighed. “Whatever you say Alex, you can trust whoever you want but if anything happens to my girl, this world will not contain us” she threatened.
“I’m not trusting anyone, all I’m saying is that if Lenny is up to something, if she has been communicating with Caspian, we will definitely know, she can’t hide anything, we can get into her mind and she knows it” Alex stated.
“How sure are you that she’s not shutting you out” Nicky asked, jeez she’s really into this Lenny girl.
“I can perceive the scent of every wolf in this pack, even right now, so if she’s shutting us out, I’ll know, my parents would know, every lycan in this pack will know” Alex retorted.
“Suit yourself” Nicky gave up and sat on the bed.
“Can we go for breakfast now” Alex asked.
“I haven’t had my bath” i informed them.
“Well what are you waiting for” Nicky asked as she playfully ran to me and started hitting my bum. “This little girl, go take a shower”
“Grandma I’m going already” I whimpered as she hit me until we got to the bathroom.
“And make it snappy” she snared and walked out. What sort of crazy human being is this, no, I mean crazy mermaid.
“I heard that” she shouted from the room. I mimicked her but in a low tone.

Few minutes later I was done bathing, I walked into the closet and wow, they restocked the closet, there were many dresses hanging there, jewelries on the fancy jewelry table, different types of shoes in the shoe rack. Dmn this is my dream closet.
I picked a designer jean which has glitters around the waist, the belt is a product of LV (Louis V), cute. I slipped it on and wore a simply designed unisex T-shirt, it fitted perfectly, I looked myself in the mirror and twirled a little.
I went to the shoe rack, I picked up a black leather street boots and slipped it on, which completed my street attire.
I walked into the room.
“Wow” Alex cooed. “You look baaaaaaad, in a good way” he winked at me, I smiled and blushed.
“Bad bch, bad bch, Nobody can be compared to thee,you are who they won’t even dear to be…” Nicky sang as she walked towards me. “But girl, these snipers ain’t showing” she whined as she pointed at my b00bs.
“Gush Nicky you are insane” I waved her off,she laughed.
“Can we go now ladies?” Alex asked.
We nodded and walked out of the room.

After breakfast in a surpringly small dinning room, with just us in it, Alex took us to a large field, in the center of the field, I spotted the Alpha, his wife Penny, some of the lycans including those idi*ts that insulted me last night,I guess they are part of royalty, Lenny was also their, she was standing near her cute brother.
“Hey, I heard that, why would you call him cute?” Alex whined, I laughed, I’ve never actually seen his puppy face, He’s so adorable.
“Why are you complaining, it was just a compliment?” I asked him.
“When a lycan’s mate compliments another person, the lycan gets jealous and it hurts badly” Nicky explained.
“Oh my, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean it that way, it’s not like I’m attracted to him, it was just a compliment, forgive me Lex” I apologized to Alex.
He took a deep breath and nodded “it’s OK, I’m fine now” he stated with a shrug.
“Actually, I would have loved to see him get hurt, Andra can you please keep complimenting cute lycans until Alex go into depression” Nicky blurted out.
“Ev*l wtch” Alex fired at her and we laughed.
I looked around as we walked down to the center of the field, other werewolves rounded the field, their sitting position made the field look more like a stadium.
The weather was cool, not sunny, not cloudy just cool.
“Hey you guys” Penny greeted when we got to them.
“It’s time Alex” the Alpha informed.
