Three Months Later

Here” he dropped a tray of fried chicken on the bedside table. “Is this what you want?” he asked me.

I glanced at the chicken, pouted my lips and shook my head in disappointment.

“You’re sweating again” he complained as he wiped off the sweat from my forehead. “Should I run a cold bath for you?”

I pouted my lips even more, and shook my head.
He sat next to me on the bed, and pulled me into his arms.

“What do you wanna do then?” he asked.

“Touch me” I answered.

He raised an eyebrow at me.

“Touch you?” he sounded confused.

“Let’s make love”

“Huh?”

“There’s this fire in my body that only your touch can quench” I told him.

He chuckled lightly and placed a kss on my forehead.

“Baby, we can’t make love for now.. let’s think of another alternative”

I frowned at his words.

“Why can’t we?”

“Doctor’s instruction” he replied. “Your doctor said we mustn’t engage in any sxual actives right now, because our baby’s coming soon”

Fk doctor’s instruction, I’m feeling so hot and I want him to touch me.

“You don’t want me to h!t our baby’s head, right?”

I scoffed angrily.

“Haven’t you been htting his head before?” I grumbled.

He sighed.

“It’s different, baby” he turned me around to face him. “Our baby’s head is just a few inches away, we shouldn’t take such risk, ok?”

I don’t know if my hormones are getting the best of me right now, because I suddenly started feeling uncomfortable, and the hotness inside of me increased drastically.

“I.. I..”

“What? What’s wrong?” he asked.

I sprang off his laps, and stood near the bedside table, with my legs wide open -I suddenly couldn’t keep my legs close.

“Du-du-du-du… Arghhhh” I screamed.

Duncan quickly jumped off the bed too and held my hands, but I snatched my hands away from his and pushed him off me.

“Stay away from me! Stay away from me!” I snapped at him.

The pain I’m going through right now is making me mad, it felt as though I should just cut off my waist -this pain is worse than menstrual cramp, I’ve never experienced something like this before.

“What’s going on?” Duncan asked, he looked so confused and helpless. “My heartbeat, I…”

“Don’t touch me! Don’t come near me!” I slapped him when he tried to touch me.

He raised his hands up in surrender, and took a step away from me. His eyes widened as he stared at something between my legs, and I saw something like fear flashed in his eyes.

“W-what’s that?” he asked in a very worried and scared voice.

I looked down and saw bIood.. bIood?
Don’t tell me I’m losing my baby.
But he’s already nine months old, is it still possible to lose him at this stage?

I tried to close my legs as if it’s gonna stop the bI.ood from flowing, but I screamed loudly and widened my legs even more. Does this mean I’m in labor? Is this how labor pain feels like?

“Nanny! Nanny! Nanny!” I heard Duncan calling for nanny Pamela, and is that tears I’m seeing on his face?

If it wasn’t because of my condition I’d have laughed at him real good, I can’t believe a full grown man is crying like a baby because his wife’s in labor.

“Nanny come quick!” he called stomping on his feet.

Ok, he’s really looking like a five years old right now -gosh!

“Nanny, come! NANNY!” he shouted.

That’s when the door burst open, nanny Pamela, Fatima and Lucas rushed in.

Nanny Pamela gasped in shock when she saw my condition, she quickly rushed to my side and started touching my stomach as if she’s checking something.

“What’s going on, nanny? Why is my wife bIeeding? Is she losing our son? Is she ok?” Duncan asked in one breath. “I.. we.. we were just kssing, I haven’t even touch her yet and… ”

I frowned at his explanation even though I was in severe pain; can he just shut up already? He wanna tell everyone that we were about having sx? Does he want nanny Pamela to kll me with her scoldings?

Nanny Pamela sighed, and shook her head with a small smile.

“She’s in labor, and your son is already coming out that’s why she’s bIeeding” she said.

My son’s already coming? That’s why I couldn’t close my legs?

“But why did he come so fast? Since when did you go into labor?” Nanny Pamela asked.

I simply shook my head, because I couldn’t speak at the moment.

“Let’s take her to the hospital before it’s too late” she said.

“Lucas, get the car ready!!” Duncan barked at Lucas who rushed out immediately.

Duncan came to my side, he scooped me in his arms and dashed towards the door, despite my attempt to stop him from carrying me.

THIRD PERSON’S pov.

Fifteen Minutes Later, at The Hospital

“You can’t come in with us, Mr Baldwin” a male doctor stopped Mr Baldwin, as he was about entering the labor room with them.

Mr Baldwin frowned deeply.

“Why can’t I? Do you expect my wife to go through all that alone?”

“Mr Baldwin… ”

“I’m going in with my wife and that’s final”

The doctor wanted to say something, but seeing Mr Baldwin’s face shut him up and he agreed.

“And, I need a female doctor” he added.

“I’m very professional, sir, I can…”

“I don’t care about your professionalism!” Mr Baldwin snapped. “I need a female doctor to attend to my wife”

Lucas stepped forward and cleared his throat to get Mr Baldwin’s attention, then he nodded at Mrs Baldwin who’s turning agonizingly on the stretcher.

“Just let him do his job, sir, your son’s head is already out” Lucas said.

Mr Baldwin looked at his wife’s opened legs and saw his son’s head showing, he turned back to the doctor who in turn was already looking out for the baby’s head.

“Get me a female doctor, and stop staring at my wife’s body!”

“Mr Baldwin, our female doctors are busy at the moment, let me attend to your wife now before it’s too late” the doctor explained calmly, but there’s a hint of urgency in his voice because the baby’s already coming.

Mr Baldwin was about to reluctantly agreed, when a woman in white coat suddenly appeared.

“It’s fine, doctor Martinez, I’ll take it from here” she said.

“Yes, director” the male doctor replied, and left.

The female doctor smiled politely at Mr Baldwin, before turning to the nurses.

“Quick, push her to the labor room” she told them as she wore her gloves.

“Yes, director” the nurses replied and pushed Mrs Baldwin into the labor room.

“You’re coming with us, Mr Baldwin?” she asked.

“Yes” with that Mr Baldwin rushed after them.

Nanny Pamela released a sigh as immediately they’ve entered the labor room, she rested her back on a wall, closed her eyes and began whispering some words as though she’s praying.

Fatima and Lucas held hands, with their eyes glued on the labor room’s closed door.

“Don’t worry, baby, Mrs Baldwin’s gonna be fine” Lucas comforted Fatima.

“I know” she replied.

RACHEL’S pov.

“Your baby’s almost out, just push a little harder for us, Mrs Baldwin” the doctor told me encouragingly.

I looked at my hand tightly holding onto Duncan’s, before looking back at his face, then he gave me a smile and blew me a kss.

“You’re my baby’s mother, you can do this” he encouraged me.

I folded my lips and gave it my hardest push, and then the cry of my baby filled the air, and everyone broke into a relieved smile.

“Congratulations, Mr and Mrs Baldwin, you’ve got a baby boy” the doctor congratulated us.

Instead of replying him, Duncan leaned down and crashed his lips on mine.

“Thank you, my heartbeat” he said.

The doctor cleared his throat, and I faced her.

“Wanna carry your son before we go clean him up?” she asked.

“Yes, please”

I slowly and gently sat up with Duncan’s help, then stretched out my arms and she handed my son to me.

“Our son” I smiled as I stared at him in a daze, but pouted my lips when I discovered something.

“What’s wrong, Mrs Baldwin” the doctor asked when she noticed my change of expression.

I threw Duncan a glare even though my eyes were tired, and he quickly raised his hands in surrender.

“My son doesn’t love me”

The doctor frowned.

“Why would you say that, Mrs Baldwin?” she asked.

“He didn’t take after me, he took after his father instead” I whined and everyone burst into laughter.

“He didn’t take after me, he has your eyes and nose, baby” Duncan said but I threw him a glare, and he shut up at once.

“You’re one funny mother, Mrs Baldwin” she said. “Your son loves too much, because he didn’t give you a hard labor like other kids would do to their mom, he came out before you even started feeling the labor pain”

I nodded in agreement.
Honestly, I thought I was just being h®rny when I was feeling so h®t.. little did I know my champion was trying to pop out.

Just then the door pushed open, and nanny Pamela raced towards me, Fatima and Lucas weren’t far behind.

“My grandson is finally here” she said and started doing a funny, happy dance. “Let me hold him”

“He’s gonna stain you…”

“I don’t mind getting stained for him” she cut me off and carried him from me.

Fatima held his little hand in hers, and smiled brightly.

“You said he took after his dad, but he has your eyes and nose” Fatima said and nanny Pamela nodded in agreement.

I scoffed.

“Then why can’t I see the resemblance?” I asked.

“That’s because jealousy has blinded you” she answered, and everyone burst into laughter again.

“I’ll increase your salary for speaking the truth Fatima” Duncan said. “Mrs Baldwin is always jealous of me, and wouldn’t stop oppressing me” he added which just increased everyone’s laughter.

I facepalm myself and shook my head.. I wonder why they’re taking sides with him.

“What’s our cute baby’s name?” the doctor asked.

Everyone’s eyes settled on Duncan, but he was just staring at me in return.

“His name is Isaac” I said.

“What a lovely name.. Isaac” nanny Pamela said, and kssed Isaac’s forehead.

“Alright, it’s time to bathe Isaac” the doctor said as she carried Isaac from nanny Pamela.

“Careful” nanny Pamela told her.

I didn’t know what to do, I could just smile at everything, and everyone… My family has finally known peace, and laugher!
