Chapter 108
Outside An Abandoned Factory
Mr Baldwin frowned as he looked at the factory’s closed doors in front of them, then he faced Lucas, and raised his eyebrows questioningly.
“Are you sure this is the place?”
“Yes, sir”
“Then why aren’t there no guards outside the door?”
Lucas shrugged.
“She wanted us to come alone, I guess she’s doing it alone too, remember she’s a Mafia lord” Lucas replied.
Mr Baldwin nodded thoughtfully.
He opened the door, and jumped out of his car, then walked straight to the factory.
He kicked the doors open, and walked in.
“You’re finally here, Duncan” he heard a familiar voice said.
He frowned upon seeing who just spoke, then he scoffed.
“It’s truly you, so, your real name is Cara… Ms Cara” he said.
His eyes searched around for his wife, but he didn’t find her, rather, he saw Mr Ferrari who’s tied against a chair, and Mike who’s standing beside Ms Cara.
“Where’s my wife?” he asked.
“She’s safe for now, and she’s gonna remain safe if you are a good boy” she smirked.
“What do you mean?”
Ms Cara walked towards another chair, she pulled out some papers and threw them at Mr Baldwin.
“I’d release her, only if you sign these papers” she said.
Mr Baldwin frowned as he stared at the papers.
“What are these papers for?” Mr Baldwin asked, even though he’s got an idea what the papers are about.
“Transfer of properties” Ms Cara said.
“Oh” Mr Baldwin nodded in understanding. “But which properties am I transferring? Mine?”
Ms Cara chuckled.
“You wanna act smart with me? You think Ferrari signed you in his company just because you’re a great singer?”
“Hm?”
“The papers you signed aren’t all about your music, some were about properties transfer.. he transferred all his wealth to you, and those were supposed to be mine!” she growled.
Mr Baldwin faced his father (Mr Ferrari) for confirmation, and Mr Ferrari nodded in agreement as he couldn’t speak because Ms Cara’s pointing a gvn in his head.
“Transfer those properties back to me!” Ms Cara ordered.
Mr Baldwin laughed, and reached for a pen in Lucas’ pocket.
“I don’t need his properties, I’ll transfer the properties to you, but first, I wanna see my wife” he said.
“Don’t worry about your wife, she’s safe, just sign the papers and you’ll see her”
Mr Baldwin glanced at Mike who shook his head in disagreement, even his father was also shaking his head in disagreement too.
“You can’t transfer the properties to my mom, she has no right to inherit your dad’s property because they weren’t married” Mike said.
Ms Cara snarled at him.
“Shut up, you tre.acherous son!” she snapped at him. “I’ll kll you if you don’t keep quiet!” she threatened him.
“Mom, just stop, ok?”
“I. Said. Shut. Up!” she yelled, and sh®t Mike on his left thigh.
“Sht!” he cvrsed as he quickly held his thigh that’s bI.eeding heavily by now.
His phone’s ringtone suddenly blared loudly, he reached for it and saw it’s Fatima calling, then he threw Ms Cara a glare thinking she’s sent some of her men to his home.
“Yes?” he quickly answered the call, still glaring at Ms Cara.
“Sir, Mrs Baldwin is back” Fatima reported.
“What?!” he exclaimed. “Wasn’t she k!dnapped?” he whispered the last part.
“She escaped, sir” there was a brief paused. “And she’s looking for you, she seems greatly frightened”
“I’ll be there soon” the. He hanged up, and turned back to Ms Cara.
Ms Cara smirked victoriously as she nodded at the papers in front of Mr Baldwin.
“Come on, sign them and I’ll release your family” she looked at him in the eyes. “Or consider them d.ead”
Mr Baldwin stared at her for a moment, before stepping on the papers on the floor, and reached for his gvn in his back pocket.
“You’ve always wanted him, right?” he nodded at Mr Ferrari, and shut his eyes briefly. “How about I help you two get married in h’ll?!” with that he aimed his gvn at Ms Cara, and shot her straight in the head.
“Nooooo!” Mike shouted as he watched his mother’s body drop de.ad.
Mr Baldwin diverted his gvn to Mr Ferrari, he gulped slowly and nervously as his finger touched the trlgger -he can’t believe he’d kll bI.ood-relation one day, talk more or less of that bIood-relation being his own father.
Moreso, he didn’t wanna waste anytime now that he knows his family is safe.
“S-son, don’t” Mr Ferrari shook his head pleadingly. “I swear, I truly loved your mother, and…”
“Oh you do? Then why did mom spend everyday staring at the photo of you, and your happy family? Why didn’t mom let me take your last name? Why did mom have your photos locked away in a room, and threw the key away?!” he paused, and scoffed. “You sure have a very funny way of showing your love”
“I left because I was scared Cara would hurt you and your mom, I left to protect you guys and…. ”
“Shut up!” Mr Baldwin growled. “Stop saying you left to protect us, because that’s just a pathetic lie.. Cara still succeeded in klling mom!”
His grip on the gvn tightened as he came to a realization that he’s wrong his wife and unborn son, like his father, he’s being staying away from him thinking that would keep his family safe, not knowing it’s exposing them to more dangers.
“You know what?”
Mr Ferrari shook his head quickly, thinking Mr Baldwin was gonna set him free on a condition.
“Your newly wedded wife is waiting for you in hell, I shouldn’t keep you here”
“W-what, w-what…”
“You should go keep her company” that being said, Mr Baldwin pulled the trlgger, and a bvllet flew straight to Mr Ferrari’s h.ead -exact spot Ms Cara was sh®t.
“You could kll your own father too?” Mike asked, then shook his head. “You’re so heartless, Duncan”
“I was supposed to be a kind gentleman like you, but they made me who I am today” Mr Baldwin said.
He paused and threw Mr Ferrari a malicious glare.
“THEY WERE BOTH HEARTLESS TOWARDS MY MOM FIRST!!”
Then he send more bvllets into Mr Ferrari’s chest, and a few more on Ms Cara’s chest too, before throwing his gvn at Mike.
“Sh®ot me now if you wanna avenge your mother’s de.ath” he said.
Mike glared at the gvn for moment, then snatched it from the ground, and held it tightly in his hand.
“Sir!” Lucas called frighteningly. “He’s gonna kll you”
“Let him”
Mike’s hands started shaking as he held the gvn, he aimed at Mr Baldwin for a moment, Lucas pulled out his gvn and jumped in front of Mr Baldwin, then aimed his gvn at Mike too, but Mr Baldwin pushed him out of his way.
“Sh®ot” he told Mike.
Mike glared at him for a moment, then suddenly threw the gun across the factory, and it landed on a pillar and crashed into pieces.
“That was a feud between our parents and it’s been settled” Mike said. “I can’t, and won’t kll my friend’s husband.. go back to your family, love and cherish them because they’re all you’ve got now”
Lucas released a long sigh as though he’s been holding his breath, and shoved his gvn back in his pocket.
“Go!” Mike shouted. “Let me be with my mom” he said in a lower tone this time.
Mr Baldwin walked closer to Mike, grabbed Mike’s shoulder and gave him an appreciative squeeze, before rushing out -Lucas followed quickly.
As if he’s been waiting for Mr Baldwin to leave before he wallow in his grief, Mike fell on his knees and crawled towards his mother’s body.
He held her in his arms, and closed his eyes as tears started dropping, soon he threw his head back and released a scream.
“MOMMMMMM!”

Baldwin’s Mansion, LA
“My heartbeat! My heartbeat!” Mr Baldwin called loudly as he barged into the living room, but found out nobody’s there.
“Up here, sir” Fatima replied from upstairs.
Mr Baldwin dashed towards the staircase, taking the steps two at a time, and soon made it to their room.
His steps faltered when his eyes landed on his wife, she’s hugging a pillow, and wouldn’t let anyone touch her.. there were bI.ood splashed all over her body.
“My heartbeat?” he called her softly.
She stopped shaking, slowly raised her head, and sprang up when her eyes landed on him. She quickly jumped out of the bed, and raced towards him, then started h!tting him on his chest as hard as she could.
“It’s your fault! It’s all your fault! It’s all because of you! I hate you! I hate you! I really hate you!” she cried as she h!t him.
“Yes, it’s my fault, baby” Mr Baldwin agreed, as he tried to pull her into a hug, but she wouldn’t let him. “Now this is my wife”
“I hate you! I don’t wanna be your wife anymore! There’s so much work in being your wife!”
He forcibly pulled her into a hug, she wrapped her arms around him, and cried out her eyes.
“I’ve klled people because of you, I’m a mvrderer because of you” she cried.
“You klled those two men?” he asked.
She nodded.
“I’m a mvrderer, I’m a bad person, I’m now a mvrderer!”
“No, you’re not a mvrderer, you only help the world get rid of some bad people, ok?” he consoled her.
She could only cry on his shoulder, as she doesn’t know how to control her emotions at the moment.
“It’s over now, the heavy storm is over now, and we can live our lives in peace” Mr Baldwin whispered in her ear.
She stopped crying, and stared at him with her teary eyes.
“Mrs Jackson… ”
“She’s d.ead”
“D-de.ad?”
He nodded.
“Then Tasha, she.. she… ”
“She’s d.ead too, and we won’t be living in fear no more” he assured her, then placed a kss on her forehead.
They hugged each other for a long time, before nanny Pamela cleared her throat, to remind them of their (nanny Pamela, Lucas and Fatima) presence in the room.
“Uh, Rachel just got back, how about you freshen up while I get something for you to eat?” Nanny Pamela suggested.
Mrs Baldwin was about saying yes, but caught sight of Lucas who’s trying to get Fatima’s attention, but she’s being cold towards him.
“Duncan?” she called her husband.
“Yes, my heartbeat”
“You know I’m very mad at you, right?” she asked.
“Yes, baby”
“You know you’ve hurt me really bad all these years, right?”
Mr Baldwin nodded.
“Yes, baby, but I can do anything to redeem myself…after all, I wanna dedicate my whole life to you and our baby from now onwards” he said.
Mrs Baldwin went on her tiptoe and planted a brief kss on his lips, then walked closer to Lucas and Fatima, and held their hands.
“Then do me a favor and let them be together”
“What?!” Mr Baldwin exclaimed.
“You said you’d do anything to redeem yourself” she pouted her lips. “I want them to be together, I want them to be a couple”
Mr Baldwin looked between Fatima and Lucas for a moment, then back to his wife.
“But my heartbeat, I…”
Mrs Baldwin suddenly burst into tears, though everyone could tell she’s faking, but Mr Baldwin seem to be oblivious of that fact, and he couldn’t help but worry.
“I thought he’s changed, but that’s not true, he doesn’t love me.. I should just leave with my son and disappear from his life, he doesn’t love me at all” she cried loudly.
“You don’t understand, it’s our rule and… ”
“Rules are meant to be broken, don’t you know that?” she increased the volume of her cry. “He can’t even bend the rules for me, what am I living for?” she cried louder. “I should go and d!e!”
She raced towards the wall behind her, but Mr Baldwin caught her and wrapped his arms around her waist, hugging her from behind.
“Fine!” he yelled.
“Fine? Fine what?” she asked.
Mr Baldwin rolled his eyeballs.
“They can be together” he gritted out.
“Really?”
“Yes” he agreed.
Mrs Baldwin turned to Lucas and Fatima, she gestured them to go out and enjoy themselves, but Fatima suddenly engulfed her in a tight hug.
“Thank you, thank you, thank you, sweetheart”
Mrs Baldwin tapped her back gently.
“Too tight…my son..” she managed to breath out, and Fatima released her at once.
“Sorry, sorry, did I hurt you?” she asked.
Mrs Baldwin shook her head, and smiled at Fatima.
“It’s fine”
“Thank you very much, Rachel” Fatima said again.
“Go on, enjoy yourselves”
Lucas rushed towards Fatima, he crashed his lips on hers and they kssed for a brief moment, before he scooped her in his arms, and dashed out.
“I’ll be in the kitchen” nanny Pamela said and left with a bright smile.
Mr Baldwin stared at his wife with a pout, then his wife wrapped her arms around his waist, and kssed his pout away.
“How about we have a steamy scene in the bathroom?” she asked suggestively.
Mr Baldwin broke into a wide grin, he nodded in agreement, he turned her around and carried her in his arms.
“Ooh, I’m so heavy” she said.
He leaned down and planted a short kss on her lips.
“Not at all” he replied. “Let’s have a very rough sx…”
“Not rough sx” she sIapped his chest. “You’re gonna hurt our son”
He shook his head.
“Don’t worry, he’s a smart boy, and he’s gonna dodge when he sees his dad’s big rod coming for his head” with that he dashed towards the bathroom, with his wife who’s blushing so hard.
