Chapter 106
THIRD PERSON’S pov.
Ms Cara glared maliciously at the photo sitting on her desk, she balled her fists as she tried resisting the urge of venting her anger on the photo.
Just then her phone rang loudly, she quickly answered the call without checking the caller’s ID.
“Hello?”
“Mom” a male voice called from the other end, and Ms Cara rolled her eyeballs. “I wanna see you, let’s have a talk…”
“We can’t see, I’m busy” she cut him off.
And there was a brief silence. Ms Cara frowned deeply, as though she’s already known what her son wanna say.
“Mom, Duncan doesn’t know…”
“Duncan doesn’t know what?” she narrowed her eyes. “I have made up my mind, and there’s nothing you can do to change it”
“Mom!”
“Why are you mom-ing me?” she banged on her desk. “That family has taken too much from me, they took my lover and everything that’s supposed to be mine”
She paused, and inhaled deeply before speaking again.
“They even took my son from me, Duncan klled your brother!” her eyes turned red at this point.
“What? Asher’s de.ad?” he asked in a small voice.
Ms Cara scoffed at her son’s surprised question, and shook her head disappointedly.
“Are you even my son? Do you even care about Asher and I at all? How come you don’t even know about your twin brother’s de.ath?!”
“Mom…”
“Stop it!” with that she hanged up, and tossed the phone carelessly on the table.
But it wasn’t long before her phone started ringing again, she angrily reached for it and answered it.
“Mike, stop calling me if you’ve got nothing reasonable to say!” she snapped angrily as she thought it was Mike calling again, after all, she didn’t bother checking the caller’s ID earlier.
“Ma’am, I’ve got bad news” she heard her right hand man’s voice instead.
“Bad news?” she lifted herself off her chair slightly, and leaned on the desk. “What bad news? Where’s Duncan’s wife?”
Her right hand man cleared his throat.
“That’s the bad news, ma’am”
Her eyebrows furrowed instantly as she impatiently waited for him to say what the bad news is.
“We couldn’t find Duncan’s wife”
“What?!”
“Yes, ma’am, we only found two dead bodies…” he trailed off. “It’s either she’s being rescued by her husband, or she managed to escape from her”
“That bçh!” Ms Cara growled as she banged on her desk frustratingly.
“But we have Duncan’s father with us”
“Ferrari is of no use to us, you f®ol!”
“I think he is, ma’am, it seems like he’s important to Duncan, because he was being taken to Duncan’s safe house before our spy slipped him away”
Ms Cara frowned deeply, she began thinking of ways that Ferrari could be of use to her, then she sighed and nodded in agreement.
“Fine, keep him and send a threatening note to Duncan, tell him we have both his wife and father… ”
“Wife and father?” he interrupted her. “But we only have his father with us”
“Shut up, and do what I’m telling you!”
“Yes, ma’am” he replied quickly.
“Tell him to come with the necessary documents, or I’ll skin his father alive, and burn his wife to death!”
“Yes, ma’am”
Then she hanged up, and smirked wickedly at nothing.
