Robin can’t help but smile at the lovely scene
Finally without doubt, everything is back to normal, the only thing now is that they should both heal completely
Susan looked at Valerie and smiled widely
Truly a man like him is rare, Melanie overcame her fears cos of him, she’s out of her phobia for men, or maybe only him
“I’m happy for you, you finally found someone who won’t mind your past” Sally thought with smiles
They stayed in each other’s arms for about five minutes before leaving each other, Melanie has stopped crying now
“Good girl” Philip said
She smiled widely
“Yes, keep smiling, it fits your face” Philip said
The doctors felt happy too for a well done job
Melanie was made to lie down on the bed again and she chatted and smiled with everyone
Robert sat on the bed beside her and won’t leave her hand no matter what
“You should eat, I’ll order food” Philip said and took his phone
“Garnished noodles please” Melanie said
“But carrots are in” Philip replied
“Yeah, it means nothing now, I don’t feel scared at the mention of it, I want garnished noodles” she replied
” Do it Mr Albert” Sally said
Philip made the call for garnished noodles and it came fast
He ordered many packs for everyone and ordered ordinary noodles for Robin, when the delivery guy came with it, Melanie picked one and a fork
She ate slowly and Philip smiled, to think she’s out of the carrots phobia too
It’s too surprising, maybe all what happened is really worth it
“It’s been long since I tasted carrots” she said
“Are you enjoying it?” Robin asked beside her
” Yes dear” she replied
” Let’s eat everyone” Philip said
Everyone ate except Sally , she said she’s not having an appetite yet
She just watched them eat,
“It’s tasty right?” Melanie asked Robin
“Not as tasty as your cooking, I can’t wait to start eating your food again” Robin replied with a pout
Everyone laughed
Melanie’s eyes met with Philip’s during the laugh and she smiled
“Eat well” Philip mouthed
“I will” she replied quietly and continued eating
” But Robin, are you sure my Sissy’s food is the most delicious food in the world?, You haven’t even tasted my food before, I can cook awesomely too” Valerie said
Susan rolled eyes at her
” Don’t mind her Robin, this girl here can’t even boil water for coffee, the water will get burnt” she said
Everyone laughed again
” But I’m the queen of cooking , right Melanie?” Sally said
” Yes, chef’s food is the best” Melanie replied
“You know what chef?, It doesn’t matter if you’re her teacher in school, all I know is that my honey’s food tastes like raw honey, and that’s why she’ll remain my honey forever and always” Robin said
” Awwwn…. how sweet” Sally replied
” He’s saying the truth, since she arrived, I got to know that she has the hands of sugar, everything she makes tastes good….I mean, if she gives you ordinary water, it’ll still taste like honey… she’s unique, perfect, beautiful, cool, and…
Philip stopped
“The right woman every child will want for a mother” Robin said
Everyone went silent, Philip smiled cos he gets what he’s trying to say

After three more days, they were discharged according to Philip’s orders…a doctor will come for home treatment everyday
“I’m promising full care, trust me and just put your mind at ease” Philip said
“I trust you, I know you’ll take good care of her, I’m at peace” Susan replied
” I wish to come live with you sis but I can’t leave mother alone, just take care of yourself… and Mr Albert, please take care of this fragile egg and never let it fall” Valerie said
” Sure” Philip replied
” I trust Mr Albert so everything will be fine” Sally said
” Thanks Chef” Philip said
” Valerie I… Like you, but you need to learn how to cook and stop burning even coffee water” Robin said
Melanie Started laughing
” Robin” Valerie said with a pout
” Bye!” Robin replied and took Melanie to the car
“Bye mum!, Valerie, Sally” she waved
They waved back too
“By the way I sent some cash into your account Mrs Susan, I actually took your account number from Valerie” Philip said
” Mr Albert…
“You don’t have to come to AR group of companies to work as a cleaner again, I want you to sit at home, rest, rest and relax” Philip said
” How can I thank you enough, you’re too kind” Susan said at the point of tears
” No tears please” Philip said
“I won’t cry” Susan replied, fighting back her tears…
“My second car will drop you home” Philip said, gesturing at another car beside the road
Valerie and Susan left after waving their byes
“So chef, I’ll see you” Philip waved
She has her own car so she waved back and got in before driving away…
Philip got in with Robin and Melanie and the drive home started

Next day, Lighthouse highschool
Valerie can’t stop smiling as she entered the school, it’s a Monday morning, throughout last week, she never came to school cos of the case
But now she’s back….
“Bestie!” Lillian exclaimed immediately she entered the class
They hugged tightly
“I couldn’t come throughout the weekend, my mum was sick too” Lillian said
” Really?, How’s she now?” Valerie asked
“She’s better” Lillian replied
Valerie told her everything without leaving a part and won’t stop smiling throughout…
“I’m happy for you guys, everything is back to normal and Kat the cat is in her right place” Lillian said
” I’m glad too, I can’t be more happy…by the way,…. Dwayne came to see me” Valerie said
Lillian laughed
” Is that a joke?”
“I’m serious, I was busy giving beating pills to three sharp mouthed girls who are talking rubbish but he just came out of nowhere and took me out of the place, he said soothing words to me and made me feel better” Valerie replied
” Did you perhaps use magic on him?, Strange things kept happening since you came” Lillian said
” I’m pretty” Valerie whispered
Lillian laughed loudly
“That’s true though, but a Rock don’t get moved by beauty, maybe it’s different this time and did I just hear you say you beat up three girls?” Lillian replied
” Trust me, from now on no dulling” Valerie replied
” That’s my babe, high five” Lillian replied and they stuck hands
Darien is not in class but Dwayne entered the class during the second class, always late
Valerie smiled though he’s not looking her way but seeing him again means a lot
She doesn’t have time to realize how much she missed him throughout last week but now that she’s seeing him again and feeling Immeasurable euphoria, she knows she missed him
Lunch break**
He’s not in the cafeteria nor anywhere in the school no matter how she searches
“Oh!, The garden” she remembered
She went there and truly met him sitting and staring into space as usual
“Dwayne” she said radiantly, sitting beside him
“Retarded” he replied without looking at her
“I’m not retarded” she replied
“Says who?, To me you’re retarded” he replied, finally looking at her
“thanks for the encouraging words, I never expected that from you” she said
” I never expected that from myself too” he replied
” Cos of the words you said, I was able to stop my tears” she said
“Cool” he replied
She noticed a new bruise on his face and stood
“Do you always love to get bruises?” She said
“This?, I fought Darien last week, this time the school realized he’s at fault, he was suspended for six days and that’s why he’s absent” he replied
She found her right hand moving to his face
She touched the bruise slightly
He quickly held her hand
“Stop” he said, letting it go
“I’m sorry but…you can’t continue to let your face have wounds like this, you can’t continue to let Darien ruin your handsome face, he can punch anywhere else but not your face” she said
He curved his lips and smiled secretly but Valerie saw it
“Are you nagging me now?” He said
“No … I’m just.. worried about your face” she replied
“Oh really?”
“Yes…sure” she replied
“By the way has the maths teacher told you your luck?” He said
“Nope”
” Well you scored all the twenty questions and…. you’re going with me to new York on Friday” he said
She jumped up happily
” OMG!!”
“Retarded” he said again
“I’m not retarded” she replied
He giggled
” I saw that” she said
” Whatever” he replied
” So our school is representing all the schools in Paris?, And luckily I’m among the two chosen students, I can’t be more happy” Valerie said, still jumping around
” Retarded” he said again
” I’m not retarded” she replied seriously
The seriousness on her face looks funny even when he was only teasing her
This time , he laughed shortly
She dabbed her face with her palm
“Did I just hallucinate?, You laughed?”
“I dunno” he replied and stood
He started walking out of the garden
She smiled as he watched him go but he swiftly looked back
“Re-tar….
” Stop calling me that!” She replied, stumping her foot on the ground
He laughed hard, finally leaving the garden…
