Mrs Natasha’s Pov:
I rushed straight into my room immediately I saw him hand the clothes to Patrick.
I have never been so surprised in my entire life.
I quickly made for my cell phone and dialed my girlfriend’s number immediately.
“Pick up girl! Just pick up already” I said as I walked around impatiently.
I really can’t wait to tell her what it was that happened earlier, am sure she’s going to be even more surprise than I am right now.
She picked up the call.
“Hey Tasha! What’s up? Why are you calling me when you know that am busy at the bakery” She said as I gulped hard.
“You won’t believe what just happened some few minutes ago girl” I said breathlessly.
“What are you talking about? What happened? I hope this isn’t about your husband Arthur?” She asked anxiously.
“This is about Arthur but you won’t believe this even in your dreams.. like me I don’t believe I really saw this happen” I told her breathlessly.
“What happened? What did Arthur do to you this time? I hope he didn’t give you a black eye again cos if he did then I will have no option than to come punch that husband of yours” She said as I breathed heavily.
“That’s not it girlfriend” I snapped.
“So what?” She asked anxiously.
“Can you believe that Arthur actually bought my son Patrick clothes from the mall” I said as she scoffed.
“What are you saying?” She asked to make sure she wasn’t mistaking with what she heard and what I said.
“Babes my husband Arthur bought for my son Patrick clothes from the mall” I repeated as she gasped.
“What? I thought he was out of town like you told me?” She asked as I cleared my throat noisily.
“Yes he was but then he came back few minutes ago and then he called Patrick and to be honest I was scared cos whenever he sends for Patrick, it’s either Patrick have done something wrong and will get scolded or he is going to spank him” I started.
“So then what?” She asked.
“Then I rushed to the stairs to meet Patrick who was sweating profusely cos I know the poor boy is very scared that Arthur will spank him again but Arthur continued calling so Patrick went downstairs to meet him and to my greatest
surprise Arthur handed Patrick a bag” I said.
“Don’t tell me you are fvcking serious girlfriend? He really handed him the bag of clothes?” She asked as I smiled.
“That is exactly what I saw him do” I said with tears of joy.
“Does that mean that they are getting along so well right now?” She asked.
“I can’t say for sure but this is the very first time that my son is receiving anything from his father Arthur so to be honest I don’t know what to call this” I said with so much happiness.
“You know what? This calls for celebration.. you have never sounded so happy like you sounded today” She laughed.
“Well maybe because you don’t understand what am saying.. that man doesn’t treat him like his son and they hardly talk even if we live in the same house so am wondering what it could be that made him change his attitude towards him” I bit my lips.
“Then that’s a good development.. it’s a good thing that your husband is finally doing the right thing don’t you think?” She asked.
“Am so happy.. because I think my son has finally concluded that he is fatherless but I think this will make him think otherwise” I said as I sat heavily on the bed.
“Why don’t you go to your son and see if the clothes are going to fit him perfectly? You know he doesn’t even know his son’s size right?” She laughed as I laughed too.
“You are right! Ever since he was born this is the first time he has tried getting him something and am ready amazed and surprised” I said.
“I hope he remains this way and doesn’t change so that you guys can live happily like any other family will” She replied.
“That’s has always been my prayers ever since and I will be the happiest woman on Earth if it comes to pass cos I haven’t really enjoyed my marriage ever since he got married to me” I sniffed hard.
“Don’t tell me you are going to cry when you should be happy cos I won’t be happy with you if you keep that up” She feigned anger.
“You don’t understand girlfriend! It has always been Aliyah this and Aliyah that and it makes me feel so sad to think that all he thinks about is Aliyah even if am the one married to him” I cried.
“Stop it Natasha! Do you want your son to see you or hear you crying? Have you thought of the damages this crying of yours will cause your son?” She scolded.
“I hope he has forgotten everything about that witch Aliyah and I hope he have realized that Aliyah is dead and gone for good for the betterment of all of us living here” I said.
“I pray she really is so that you can enjoy your marriage because if she is not then I don’t know what will happen to your marriage with Arthur” my friend said.
“I really wish and hope she is dead! She can’t be my rival again afterall am the legal wife of Arthur Rodriguez and no one else and I won’t let anyone take that position from me not even her” I said as I hung up the call.
I rushed out of the room to meet my son who was already in his room.
I didn’t bother to knock on the door do I grabbed the door handle as I walked in.
Patrick had already brought out the clothes and checking them out.
“Mom? Is this a dream?” He asked as I smiled at him.
“Come on Patrick this is no dream my son! We are not dreaming” I said with a smile.
“Did Dad really buy this clothes for me from the mall or is this a prank or something?” He asked in confusion.
“You know Patrick i am surprised myself but I have always told you that your father loves you so much and I think you should believe that” I said as I patted his curly hair.
“You know when he handed that bag to me I was shocked, I didn’t even expect it cos I know he was going to scold me whenever he calls me but then he didn’t Mom” He shook his head.
“Just like every other Father Patrick, your father loves you as well” I said as he hugged me tightly.
“I think he does” he whispered to me as my lips curved to a smile.
“Look he even got you a wrist watch” I said as I saw a packet of wrist watch.
“He did?” Patrick jumped up in excitement as I nodded my head.
Patrick quickly out on the watch and chuckled.
“It’s even a water resistant watch Mom” He read out from the packet as I touched his cheeks.
I have never seen my son smile so much so whatever made him wear such a wide smile is so amazing.

Arya’s Pov:
Sofia and I walked along the school corridor as she shared my birthday card.
“Oh my goodness Sofy! You know I didn’t even know you had so much friends until today” I scoffed.
“I told you that right? I told you not to bother that am surely going to help you invite a whole lot of people to your birthday party” Sofia chuckled.
“I wonder what I would have done without you girlfriend” I smiled.
“Oh Arya will you stop it? Stop making me blush already and start feeling like a queen” She said as we shared a laugh.
“And oh my goodness…” She suddenly gasped to my surprise.
“What happened girl? Did something bad happen?” I asked with my eyes widened.
“We haven’t even invited the star of the show” She said as I wrinkled my eyebrows.
“Star of the show? What star of the show? Am the one who is the star of the show and any other persons” I shrugged.
“Come on follow me let’s go invite the star of the show” She said as I shrugged.
“You are something else” I groaned as I followed her willingly.
We were still rushing when I sighted Patrick on the other corner with his friend I suppose.
“Hey wait!” I halted as Sofia turned to me with arched eyebrows.
“What happened?” She asked.
“There is someone here that you should invite” I said as she turned around and saw Patrick.
“Oh your enemy turn friend?” She teased as I laughed.
“You can call him that though!” I said as we ran towards him.
“Patrick! Patrick!!” I called and he turned around wearing a wide smile.
“Oh Arya!” He waved at me as I walked closer to him.
“Where have you been? You know it was such a stress finding you in this big school?” I teased him as he laughed.
“I know right! I’ve been around so what’s up with you and your friend?” He asked as I turned to Sofia and took a card from her.
“Actually we have been sharing this and I want you to have this as well because am specially inviting you” I said as he smiled.
“Really?” He said as he took the card and read it then he gasped.
“You are having a birthday party?” He asked as I nodded my head in agreement.
“Yes I am and you are invited like I said” I smiled.
“Of course I won’t miss it for the world” He said as I giggled.
“You are so funny! Thank you so much Patrick” I said as we shook hands then I sighted the wrist watch he was putting on and it’s very nice.
“Nice wrist watch Patrick!” I said as he laughed.
“Actually it’s a gift from my Dad.. he gave it to me last night” He said as I forced a smile.
“Your dad must be so nice to give you such an expensive wrist watch cos my uncle Leo has this and from what he told me the water resists water” I said as he nodded his head.
“Yeah that’s right!” He said.
“Ok cool! Congratulations.. see you around later” I said as he nodded his head.
“Sure thing!” He said as I turned to leave with Sofia as tears circulated in my eyes.
“If only I have a dad then he must surely give me something like that at least for my birthday right?” I thought inwardly.
“Are you ok Arya?” Sofia asked as she noticed my quietness.
” Yeah am fine” i blinked my eyes rapidly to stop the tears from flowing down my cheeks.
We continued sharing the card then she rushed to give the card to Martin.
“Sofia! Sofia.. hey! Don’t invite him to my party” I tried to stop her but her mind was made up.
She went towards to him and handed the birthday card to him.
“Whose birthday is it?” Handsome Martin asked with arched eyebrows.
“Why not read the card first” Sofia said as I walked closer to them.
“Arya’s birthday?” His face beamed with smiles as he turned to me and I smiled at him with a nod.
“Party party then!” He said as his friend Idris smiled and Martin winked at me.
Just then, Kim’s friend came forward to us but thermy weren’t with Kimberly.
“This is going to be the best and ultimate party” Sofia said to their hearing.
“Can a dumba$s party ever be ultimate?” They mocked as I took two of the cards and walked straight to them.
“You are invited” I gave the cards to them as they took it staring disgustingly at it.
“Trash should be treated as trash” They chorused as they dropped the cards on the ground and stepped on it.
We all gasped…..
