” Can you please tell me what’s happening in the emergency room ? ” I ask the receptionist who’s busy with some files. ” We’ve been here for almost an hour now and no one is telling us anything! ”
” Am sorry, I’ve no news yet. ” she says and i bang the counter in annoyance as she moves back startled.
” Come on, there’s no need in getting all worked out, she’ll be fine. ” That’s Stacy. She’s been here all this time faking concern.
” Don’t touch me, ” I tell her when she places her hand on my shoulder. ” You know this is a your fault, are you happy now? ”
” Of course not, you know of I love my mother in-law alot. You are the one who argued with her causing all this, not me. ”
I groan angrily looking at her.
” She’s not and will never be your mother in-law, get that in your thick skull Stacy. As soon as she gets better am going to tell her the truth and watch in amusement as she strangles you to death. ”
” Don’t be sure about that Alex.You know me and i always get what I want, and I never make my move without thinking it through first, “she says with a smirk, winking at me.
Right now am trying so hard to controll my anger and it’s taking everything in me not to drag her out of here.
She’s using my mum against me and am kind of scared of what is up her sleeve. How could i not have seen this dark side of her for all those years we were together?
Mum has always seen her as the most honest and intelligent woman ever. She always said that I was the luckiest man in the world to have her by my side, no wonder she didn’t have a problem believing her lies.
One thing that I used to love but now absolutely hate is her boldness and strong character. She has never let anyone put her down or walk all over her. She knew exactly what she wanted and really aimed at getting it, by hook it by crook and that’s how she actually got me.
She came into my room in the middle of the night on my seventeenth birthday ,in a short sexy night gown and there was no way I’d have refused her. I was already head over heels for her then and having her in my room looking like a snack was the best birthday present ever!
She had told me that she liked me alot and was tired of waiting for me to make the first move and so she decided to be the bigger person and approach me. After confessing our feelings for each other ,we made crazy love the whole night and that’s how we started dating.
I should have known from the beginning that she was just to good to be true. Stacy has this innocent looking face , and believe me , when you first meet her, you’d think she’s the sweetest thing ever , kind of like how vee looks.These two have so many similar characteristics and that’s why am finding it hard to believe that violet is not up to something.
” What’s taking them so long, ” Dad asks pacing around the waiting room nervously. I can’t seem to tell whether he’s just putting on an act or not, but if it’s all an act, he’d sure make a great actor.
I spot the doctor approaching and practically run to him.
” How’s my mother? ”
” She’s fine at the moment but still uncouncious. ”
” What’s wrong with her? ”
” Your mum has a heart disease that we were managing quite well, but tonight her blood pressure went up and that made her situation worse. ”
” What?! But why didn’t she tells us about it? ”
” She didn’t want to worry you and it wasn’t that serious until now. She’s not supposed to over work herself or be under any kind of stress. If this happens again, she might end up having a heart attack that might be fatal so you have to take good care of her, ” the doctor say his eyes traveling from Me to Dad.
“You can be sure we will doctor, ” Dad says. ” When can we take her home? ”
” She’ll have to spend the night here but tomorrow she’ll be discharged. She already has her medicine at home and you have to make sure she takes them on time, Excuse me, ” The doctor says walking away.
” You two go home, I’ll stay the night and watch over mother, ” Stacy says with the most innocent voice ever.
” I’ll stay with her, ” I say sternly, walking over to the reception to get her room number.
” Don’t you trust me? ” Stacy asks falling into step with me.
” Trust! Are you kidding me?!
” You think I’d hurt her? She’s been a mother to me almost all my life! I can never do that.”
” You’ve already hurt her Stacy. You slept with her husband and lied about me cheating on you. ”
” It was not my fault. Your Dad has been after me for a while and I always declined him but he forced himself on me. I mean, you all know how he is. ”
I stop and take a deep breath looking at her.
” Is that the story you are going with? I found you Stacy and witnessed the whole thing and there was no force there. You were too busy fking and screaming in pleasure, that it took you almost a minute to realize I was there and you call that rappe?! Wow! You sure have the wrong dictionary. ”
” Okay, ” she says her face lifting up with a crazy smile. ” Let’s see who your mum believes. Her husband who cheats on her left and right or me, who’s always been nothing but loyal and faithful to you and her. ”
” I really don’t know, but the only way to find out is by telling her, right? ”
” Oh cut me the bullsht Alex! We both know you won’t tell her anything after what the doctor said or do you want to kill your mum? ” She lifts up her eye brow staring at me.
” Fk! ” I cur$e when everything becomes clear.
Of course Stacy knew about mums sickness and that’s why she’s using her against me.
” You knew about mums sickness, didn’t you? ” I ask shaking my head in disbelief.
” What? I didn’t know anything, ” she says sarcastically.
” You crazy bitch…….. You know that you could have killed her. ”
” Hey, am no magician. I didn’t know all this would happen and anyway, why would I want to kill her when I need her most right now? ”
” What happened to you Stacy? You were never like this. I loved you and gave you everything you ever wanted. I thought………… I heave a sigh. ” I thought you were my future but boy! Was i wrong. ”
” You know we can go back to that right? ” she says her hands on my jaw. ” Just forget what happened and let’s move on. I love you so much and I know you still love me, please. I remember when you told me that there’s nothing in this world you wouldn’t do for me, ” she says with a smile and for a second am captivated by her. ” I just need you to give me one last chance Al. ”
Al. That was her nickname for me when we were younger .My heart used to race when she called me that and nothing has changed. I guess am still that stupid teenage boy, who fell for her blindly.
Why can’t I get her out of my heart?
He thumb is tracing my lip now and she’s moving closer, her lips inches from mine and I want to kss her so badly .
” No……. I can’t do this anymore. I just can’t forget everything that you’ve done. ”
” You know you are still going to marry me anyways, right? You are just making it hard for yourself? ”
I move back from her tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.
” That is never going to happen Stacy. I know it’s clear that am not over you and I wont deny that I still think about kssing you every single day but don’t think that will change anything. How can you expect me to forget that you cheated on me with my own father?! ”
She moves closer trying to touch me again but Dad interrupts clearing his throat.
” Your mum is councious and asking for you. ”
” Which room? ”
” Seven, ” Dad says and I walk past them heading to mums room.
