Episode Fifty
Vee
We get to the hospital in about an hour and we rush straight to Maya’s room. My heart is beating faster than usual as i walk in her room. I still can’t believe that she’s finally awake! It feels like a dream!
Maya is asleep when we walk in and Rita is seated on the bed next to her, holding her hand. Rita smiles when she sees us, and let’s go of Maya’s hand, getting up and gestures for me to take her place. I walk towards them, my eyes on Maya and kss her forehead. I watch as she slowly opens her eyes.
” Vee, ” she says softly a smile on her face. She still looks weak and pale but I know she’ll get better with time. All that matters is that she’s finally awake!
” Hi baby sister, ” I say tears falling down my cheeks. I missed you. ”
” I missed you more Vee, ” she says as i lean over to her and give her a tight hug.
” I was scared and thought that I’d loose you. ”
” That will never happen, ” she says as i pull back, wiping her tears. ” I’ll never leave you alone. ”
She turns her head and looks at Alex who smiles at her, before looking back at me.
” Vee, ” she calls.
” Yeah. ”
” Are you sure that am still alive or am i dreaming? ” she asks, confusing me.
“What? Of course you are alive, why would you ask that?!
” Because I think I just saw an angel! ” she says all smiles, her eyes moving back to Alex and we all laugh.
” I can see my crazy sister is back for sure? ” I say shaking my head.
” Yeah and I’ve fallen in love with her already, ” Alex says walking closer.
” That makes two of us and if you are not taken, am so ready to mingle, ” Maya says grinning at him.
” Am sorry sis, Alex is already taken, ” I say intertwining our fingers, earning a crazy look from Rita.
” Wait, what?! ” Rita says clearly shocked. ” Someone please pinch me, this seems to good to be true! ”
” It’s true Ava. Vee is now my girlfriend, ” Alex says kssing my hair as I lean and lay my head on his chest.
” Awww…,” the girls say simultaneously, smiling at each other.
” This is by far the best day of my life! ” Rita says. ” We are now going to be one big happy family, finally! ”
” Wait.. Am still kind of confused. Is this the same Alex that you used to tell me about? ” Maya asks.
” Yeah, its him. ”
” Wow! A lot of things have changed. How long have I being uncouncious? ”
” About a month, ” I say with a sigh. ” Am so happy you are back. ”
” I am too. I would never have wanted to miss this! You having a boyfriend is something I never thought would ever happen. It a miracle! ” She says eyes wide open. ” Welcome to the family Alex. ”
” Thank Maya, it’s nice to finally meet you. ”
” Me too. I’ve heard a lot of things about you. ”
” Hopefully good things, right? ”
” Nope… nothing good, ” Maya says shaking her head as Alex chuckles warmly.” How did you get her to fall for you? I mean, this sister of mine is a hard nut to crack. ”
” Am actually still not sure how that happened. I guess am just…. lucky, ” Alex says smirking at me.
” Yes… You are lucky to have her. My sister is the best and she deserves all the happiness in the world. Am glad you are finally happy, ” Maya says holding my hand as i smile at her.
I really did miss her.
We spend about two hours with Maya and leave so she could get some rest. She was so happy when I told her that she’d be discharged soon and I can’t wait!
I feel like everything is finally getting back to place, and even if Peter found us, I feel safe with Alex.
It’s about time I ended the chapter with him and if it’s a war he wants, then am ready to give him one.
Rita gets a phone call as soon as we get to the apartment and excuses herself.
” I think you should rest for a while as i make us something to eat. ” That’s Alex.
” Am actually not that tired. I feel great and I don’t want this day to ever end! To bad I have to work in a few hours, ” I say with a sigh sitting down and Alex follows suit.
” You are still planning on working today? ”
” Yes. ”
” We have a long day tomorrow and you need all the rest you can get. I’ll talk to Nick and let him know and please don’t argue with me, ” he says caressing my cheeks softly.
” Okay.., ” I say laying my head on his chest and he pulls me closer, his hands around my waist.
I still can’t believe that Alex is mine!
” Bye guys, ” Rita says rushing down the stairs. ” Mum wants me to spend the night with her, since Dad is out of town on a business trip. ”
” Okay.. Bye, ” Alex says as Rita walks out. ” We are finally alone! ” he says winking at me and tilts my chin up. “I’ve been thinking about kssing your sweet lips all the way here. ”
Theres this uncontrollable desire in his eyes which is making my heart pump faster.
” What are you waiting for? ” I asks running my fingers down the length of his jaw line.
He lifts me up easily, placing me on his lap.
He holds my face in his hand and bites my lip before kssing me, hard! I ran my fingers through his perfect hair and pull him closer deepening the kss.
What he is doing to me is beyond everything I have ever experienced and I loved it!
My whole body is aching from the pleasure and I feel like am going insane, but he suddenly stops when he’s inches away from my chest. He then lifts his face up and stares at me, his eyes full of want and pure desire.
” Why did you stop, ” I ask still breathless.
” Am not sure I’ll be able to control myself if we continue and I don’t want to get carried away. ”
” What if I want you to get carried away? ” I ask raising a brow while licking my lips.
” I don’t think you’d want that. ”
” Actually… I do want that. Maybe you are the one who doesn’t want to. Don’t you want to make love to me? It’s because of the rape, isn’t it, ” I ask with a frown, attempting to get off his lap but he holds my waist keeping me in place.
” What? No! It has nothing to do with that! ” he says cupping my cheeks, looking me dead in the eye. ” You don’t know how badly I want to feel and touch every part of you but.. I don’t want to rush things with you. I want to give you the kind of love that’s not distorted and fabricated, but real, raw and honest. ”

” I’ve never been sure of anything in my life. ” I say and he wastes no time lifting me up and he carries me up the stairs.
