Eli walked out with Zed.
“Zed don’t forget to unblock me okay?” Cindy shouted but Zed didn’t even turn around.
“Ruby you’ve met Eli before? How did you manage to ruin his cake? Eli kinda holds such a grudge and he seemed to be very upset with you” Cindy said staring at her.
“Who cares if he holds a grudge. I really don’t care. He used such harsh and ridiculous words on me. The thought of it alone really makes me annoyed. Cousin how did you manage to go out with someone who has such a friend” Ruby said feeling irritated.
“Don’t blame me okay. For the past three years Zed and I dated, Eli refused to meet with me. Zed hide so many things from me even his friends” Cindy said with a frown.
“You did same to him as well. You never introduced him to me. I get it that I was always busy but we all attended our highschool in the US”
“Zed and I had same ways of handling things but that’s all in the past so let’s drop it, we shouldn’t be talking about them. Don’t you agree” Cindy said with a silly smile.
“I don’t think it’s all in the past. The way you looked at him when he came here tells that you haven’t gotten over him yet. Get over him cousin, they’re so many guys in this country” Ruby teased.
“Of course I’ve gotten over him. What are you saying?” Cindy lied avoiding Ruby’s gaze.
“Why did you tell him to unblock your number? Something isn’t right about that statement. How did you feel after meeting him again? Did your heartbeat race? Did you get any butterflies? Wait a minute, don’t you see him at school. I remember Zed said you’re both in same department” Ruby uttered.
“You’re right Ruby or is Zed avoiding me in school?” Cindy asked putting some thoughts into it.
“Don’t think about it too much okay, you’ve moved on from him already so why put so much thought into it. Let’s just have some fun while we’re here, that’s why we came here in the first place. Let’s go dance downstairs” Ruby suggested with a smile and Cindy nodded.
“Let’s go” Cindy said excitedly.

Zed and Eli drove back home..
“Do you plan on getting back with Cindy?” Eli asked with his face on the road.
“What!” Zed screamed and Eli covered his ear with his palm.
“Come on bro, you almost blocked my ears. What was the scream for? Are you denying the fact that you once had feelings for her and don’t forget you were the one who pointed out their table so you still find her pretty” Eli said sarcastically and Zed scoffed.
“I’m still so young why should I tie myself down with a girl. What Cindy and I have is all in the past. I don’t intend on amending the past, I’m not the type to linger around the past” Zed shrugged.
“So heartless, I pray you end up with someone like yourself”
“No way, I need someone more clingy” Zed said with a smile.
“Then just accept Cindy, she looks clingy to me so why else will you block her number”
“Stop being silly Eli. I don’t like clingy girls not anymore” Zed denied bluntly and Eli laughed.
“You will regret saying that to me…. Trust me” Eli teased.
Eli drove Zed back home.
“Eli are you sure you don’t want to come in? Dad promised you a drink remember” Zed reminded after getting down.
“I can’t drink tonight, it’s late already and my mum will definitely give me an earful if I don’t go back home tonight. Anyways too bad our clubbing tonight didn’t go well as planned but I promise to make it up to you some other day. Take care Zed and don’t forget to say hello to Cindy for me”
“What the ….heck was that Eli” Zed stuttered and Eli winked then drove off.
“I can’t believe him” Zed shrugged.
He checked his phone and it was Cindy’s number on the screen.
“Get lost, you’re suddenly popping out everywhere” Zed scoffed then threw his phone into his pocket.

~~ THE CHEN’S BUILDING **
Eli drove back home, everyone has gone back to their various rooms.
He head to his room but he heard Jemma sobbing heavily at her study room.
Did something terrible happen? Eli questioned then went into the study silently.
Jemma was seated on a cushion on the ground with so many emptied cans of beers next to her.
She turned around as Eli got in, the expression on his face said it all.
“Mum why are you crying? Did something happen?” Eli asked curiously as he bent over to her.
“Eli I’m not crying okay. It’s nothing serious, you should head back to your room. You must be tired you need some rest” Jemma said wiping off her tears.
“How can you lie so blindly in front of me. It’s obvious you were crying”
“It’s nothing Eli” Jemma said slowly trying so hard not to act weak.
“We may not be on good terms but I really hate to see you cry like this. Mum you can always share anything with me, I’m not a kid anymore so I will give you my listening ears” Eli said calmly and Jemma grabbed him into a embrace.
“Should I be regretting my decisions now? Isn’t it too late for that? This tears aren’t tears of hurt but regrets. I forsake everything for this but it seems to me that I will have to live in regrets for the rest of my days” Jemma sobbed heavily on Eli’s shoulders.
“What are you saying Mum? I don’t understand a thing you’re saying” Eli said and Jemma broke the hug wiping her tears off.
“Don’t mind me okay, I’m just speaking gibberish because I’m drunk. It’s late already let’s go to bed” Jemma said with a fake smile and Eli hugged her.
“It’s okay mum. You don’t have to explain anything to me, the least I can do now is lend you my shoulders to cry on. I should pretend to be a good boy just for tonight” Eli smirked and Jemma smiled as tears roll down her cheeks.
“Of all the qualities I hoped you’d inherit from you, you chose my stubborn qualities instead. Anyways it’s better than being all fake”
“Are you encouraging me to continue or stop? Shouldn’t you be advising me to be more nicer” Eli said sarcastically and Jemma chuckled.
“You would come around when you’re ready” Jemma said then wiped off her tears.
“I guess I’ve lended my shoulders for way too long. It feels like my arms are about to fall off. We should both head to our rooms now” Eli said and stood up.
“Let’s go. You can’t keep on crying here in your drunken state” Eli said offering his hand to Jemma and she smiled as he helped her up.
“I have a very high tolerance for alcohol so don’t worry, I’m not going to cry out an ocean. Actually being nice suits you even better” Jemma teased.
“I will go to my room now. I don’t really like it when someone says I’m nice, it makes me look soft.. ewww… That’s giving me chills!” Eli said with grimace then ran to his room.
Jemma laughed from behind.
“With or without him… I think I can still find my happiness”

Caleb is at the guest room. He’s finding it hard to fall asleep as he looked at the ceiling.
Weston’s face kept on flashing on his head.
“What the heck did I know him from? I’ve always had a very sharp memory so what’s going on here… His name sounds familiar same as his face” Caleb whined as he put so much thought in it.
Doesn’t look like someone who would tell on me and apart from being our business partner we’ve got nothing in common. Why am I stressing myself over him? Caleb questioned in his head.
“““”You bstard! How dare you!” Weston yelled ““`
Weston’s words flashed in his head.
“Wait a minute… It didn’t look like he mistook me for someone else and to think of it. He didn’t apologize to me personally so does that mean he pvnched me on purpose. But why?” Caleb questioned as he sat up.

~~HANKUK UNIVERSITY (HUFS) ***
MONDAY…..
11:30 am
Eli and some members of drama club were seated outside with a table, checking out on students applying to join drama club.
“President I think it was a great idea, having you participate in this” One of the members complimented with a smile.
“We’ve got such a queue and it’s all thanks to the president’s present”
“I was given this post so I could make our club grow even bigger and that’s exactly what I’m doing” Eli said professionally.
“We will go through your form, thank you” Eli said professionally to all the new students applying.
Ruby dropped her form on the table. Eli’s eyes went straight to her passport on the form and he raised his face up immediately.
“You! What are you doing here? You’re really stalking me aren’t you?” Eli asked seriously and people began to whisper to themselves as they looked at Ruby in a funny way.
“Eli don’t create a scene here and I’m not stalking you. I happened to have so much interest in drama club and that’s why I’m here, I didn’t even know you are the president” Ruby uttered honestly and Eli scoffed then placed her paper aside.

“We will go through your form, thank you. We will be placing the names of those who got accepted on the notice board” Eli said with a malicious smile.
Ruby looked at where Eli dumped her form. She stared at him with pitiful eyes and Eli waved at her.

“Bye!” Eli said with a mean expression.
Ruby walked away anxiously as Cindy’s words kept on ringing in her head.

“Does that mean I’ve been pasted on his black list? With him being the president will I ever get into the drama club?” Ruby questioned frustratedly.

Ruby ran out of the lecture hall as she head straight to drama club building’s notice board.
Eli stood from afar with a malicious smile on his lips and his hands inside his pockets.
