IN FRONT OF THE CAKE SHOP***
“I haven’t even said anything to you and you’re crying? What are you trying to imply?” Eli barked as he ruffled his head angrily.
“I miss you so much mum” Ruby sobbed then sat on the ground crying her eyes out.
“Hey miss, how do you plan on paying me back for the cake you just ruined?” Eli yelled.
“You better look at me when I’m talking to you. What the nerve you’ve got to put on a show after ruining my cake, it took me hours to pick out the design for this cake and it took you only a second to ruin it. How do you plan on paying me back for the damage?” Eli raised his voice, dragging people’s attention with it.
“Can you just stop yelling. Can’t you see I’m in no mood for talks. Why are you even making a fuss about a cake, it’s nothing compared to what I’m going through so just buzz off. If you want me to pay for the cake then I will do it” Ruby sniffed then dipped her hands into her back pocket but her wallet wasn’t there.
She sniffed again and stood up from the ground.
Her makeup have been completely ruined, she looked very funny and ridiculous at that state.
“What happened, you can’t find your wallet?” Eli scorned.
“I might have left my wallet at home but that doesn’t mean I won’t pay you back. I will just wire you the money through WeChat, let’s connect on WeChat” Ruby said about to dip her hand into her pocket to get her phone but Eli scoffed.
“I know your type of girls, trying so hard to get a guy’s attention. I don’t have time for this nonsense, you can have the smashed cake. I will get one later” Eli said arrogantly and his phone started ringing.
It’s Jemma’s call.
“Yes mum” Eli said over the phone as he head to his car and drove off.
Ruby stood there in disbelief, she couldn’t believe her ears.
“What a jerk! I’ve never heard anything so ridiculous in my life. This is my first day in Seoul and I feel so irritated already” Ruby groaned feeling so disgusted.

~~ GG COOPERATION BUILDING ***
Jemma is busy packing some files and at the same time talking to Eli over the phone.
Her secretary Olivia was at the other end of the table packing the files for their next meeting.
“Olivia hurry up with that” Jemma reminded.
“If you’re that busy then why do you bother calling me. I couldn’t say much when we were having breakfast because I didn’t want to make Josie feel even more bad. If I was the one having a birthday today and no party was thrown for me, I would understand that but how could you do that to Josie? I know she doesn’t take all this kind of stuffs seriously but it’s still her birthday and sweet 16 at that” Eli nagged over the phone and Jemma sucks her teeth.
“I actually called you because of that. You shouldn’t make any advances on Josie okay, I’ve got a big plan and we should go with the plan. You may have some resentment for me but I would never do that to any of my kids not even my baby girl. I’m planning a huge party at home so I would love it if you stop Josie from coming back home at her usual time. You should hold her up somewhere, you can’t ruin her birthday surprise” Jemma couldn’t finish her statement when Olivia cut in.
“Boss it’s time for the meeting. The investors are heading to the conference room” Olivia cut in sharply and Jemma nodded.
“Alright, I’m almost done”
“Eli, you understood everything I said right?” Jemma asked hurriedly.
“Of course, I’m not a dummy. Go do your work, I’m driving” Eli said and hung up quickly.
Jemma left her phone on the table, as she hurriedly carried the files on the table and they sauntered out of her office.
On her way to the conference room, Caleb joined her.
“Jemma why’s there a sudden conference meeting. I wasn’t told of this meeting” Caleb said as he held her hand, stopping her from walking.
“Caleb this isn’t the time for this. The investors are heading to the conference room already so can we talk about this after the meeting” Jemma said as she struggled to get free from Caleb’s grip.
“I’m your business partner so it’s only proper that you share the details of this meeting with me”
“Stop being paranoid Caleb and for your reminder, I’m the CEO of this company and it’s only right of me to get to the conference room before the investor does so do you understand me” Jemma said seriously glaring at Caleb as she shoved him off forcefully.
Jemma walked out on him.
“Jemma we need to talk” Caleb said seriously as he ran after her but Jemma gave him deaf ears.
He grabbed her hand again and the files in her hand fell on the floor.
“What do you think you’re doing Caleb?” Jemma half yelled.
“Olivia hurry up, go ahead. I will handle this” Jemma said as she bend down to pick the files and just then someone walked up to her and helped her with the files.
“Caleb why are you still standing there? You should head to the conference room” Jemma said hurriedly as she didn’t notice who helped her with the files.
Caleb head to the conference room with a frown.
Jemma stood up and looked at the man who helped her.
“Thank you” She said politely.
“You shouldn’t pick up a fight at the office that’s not good for your reputation” Weston said calmly then walked away, heading to the conference room.
“What was that? And who’s he? Come on Jemma, this isn’t the time for this” Jemma snapped out of it as she hurried to the conference room.
Weston stepped out of the conference room because Ruby was calling.
“Sweetie, I’m sorry I left without letting you know. I was being called so I had to rush down here. Fix your things okay, the chef will be there soon. I will rush back home immediately I’m done here” Weston said calmly over the phone and Ruby pouted.
“Today can’t get any bad, it’s only my first day in this country and it feels like I’m not welcomed here. Dad, I will have to go to college today, lectures have started and I don’t want to miss out since you made me change my line of studies” Ruby whined and Weston chuckled silently.
“Come on sweetie, you know I did that for your own good. Are you sure you can find your way to school? You can still leave it till tomorrow. I can’t believe you’re that excited about your new school. Anyways we will talk about that when I get back. I have to go now, take care of yourself, bye sweetie” Weston said playfully and hung up.
Will she be fine going alone? Anyways Let’s get this over with Weston. Weston sighed in his head before going back into the conference room.
“Let the meeting begin” Weston announced and Jemma’s eyes were fixed on him.
Wait a minute, I met him earlier at the lobby. Is he Weston Hong the CEO of silver lines? Jemma gasped in her head still lost in thoughts.
Olivia cleared her throat to get Jemma’s attention.
“Mr Hong welcome to GG diamonds and we’ll be presenting you with our latest project” Jemma said and signaled Olivia to present the project.

HANKUK UNIVERSITY (HUFS) ***
Eli got to college and head to class.
Students were all over the place rushing off to their classes. Eli walked majestically with his earbuds on, he listened to his favorite playlist.
A girl stepped on his shoes as she ran off to class without apologizing.
Eli removed one of his earbuds with a frown on his face. He took down every detail of the girl.
Green shoes, pink hoodie, light pink dress and two ponytails with colorful ribbons with a pair of glasses. It was so obvious she was putting on one.
“You’re so gone girl” Eli smirked then frowned immediately.
He had a glance at his wristwatch.
“Oh shit! I’m running late” Eli gasped then ran to his class.
The lecturer was about to get into the lecture hall when Eli ran passed him into the class.
When Eli got in, the whole class jaw dropped as a ray of light shine on Eli like a celebrity in disguise.
“Oh my goodness, he’s so handsome. How come I didn’t notice we had such an handsome guy in our class” Some girls gossiped as they admired Eli.
Eli settled down at the front seat but his pen dropped on the floor, bend over to pick it and he noticed the color of the shoes the person seating next to him wore.
Wait a minute… Those are same shoes of that crazy girl from earlier. Eli said in his head as he raised his face up and she was putting on glasses, just like his description and the dress as well.
Eli’s blood began to boil.
She brushed Eli’s shoulders with hers and her eyes fixed on the lecturer.
“Can you move a bit. I don’t like the fragrance of you cologne, it’s making me nauseous” Ruby whispered to Eli, covering her nose.
Eli clenched his fist angrily then moved to the next seat quietly and Ruby gave him a thumbs up.
The only thing that’s saving you right now, is the lecturer. Eli groaned in his head.
“Good morning everyone, welcome to a new session. Most of you don’t know me because you probably changed courses or even transferred into this college but hopefully I’m always ready to introduce myself” The lecturer said and everyone boost into laughter.

Minutes later…….
The lectures were over. Ruby stretched out her arms tiredly as she yawned as well.
“I wasn’t even able to rest after our trip. I should have listened to Dad and stayed back home” Ruby complained silently as she packed her books.
She was leaving her seat when Eli blocked her with his hands.
“And where do you think you’re going? Don’t you think you should apologize for what you did?” Eli uttered with a mean look and Ruby couldn’t help it but boost into laughter.
She sat back on her seat.
“I get it okay, you’re trying to get my attention but don’t you think you should be doing it the proper way” Ruby scoffed and Eli smirked.
“You must have lost your mind and that’s why you’re dressed like a clown. You should apologize for stepping on me” Eli yelled as he stood up and Ruby looked up at him.
He looks familiar… Wait a minute, what’s going on here? He’s the guy from the cake shop. Oh no, if he recognizes me he will definitely create a scene here. Ruby gasped in her head and just then Zed, Eli’s best friend ran into the class.
“Thank goodness, you’re here Eli. You have to come with me right now. The school forum is on fire right now” Zed said sharply as he ran to Eli and dragged him with him.
“Zed what’s going on? Is that related to me? And why are you early to school today?” Eli asked a bit confused as Zed dragged him out of the class.
“It’s so related to you” Zed screamed anxiously.
