~~ HANGU SPECIAL HOSPITAL **
Caleb and Olivia were heading in to the hospital when Caleb had a glance at his wristwatch and he stopped walking.
“Olivia as much as I want to accompany you while you see the doctor, I still want to be with my family. Today’s Josie’s birthday and you know that” Caleb complained.
“I was also invited to the party but we have bigger problems to take care of. Caleb you promised you would stay by my side when I go through the process so why are you going back on your words. It’s hard already that I’m terminating the pregnancy so just stay by my side” Olivia said with a pitiful face.
“Olivia you’re putting me in a tight spot. Don’t you think Jemma will find it offensive that I don’t make it to Josie’s birthday party” Caleb said frustratedly.
“We just have to be finish up fast so we can still make it to the party” Olivia said and Caleb nodded.
“Are you sure, we’re doing the right thing by terminating the pregnancy?” Olivia added emotionally as she placed her hands on her belly.
“Come on Olivia, we’ve talked about this. You’re being emotional again” Caleb said frustratedly and Olivia hugged him.
“You made promises to me as well. What’s so wrong with keeping our baby?” Olivia pouted and Caleb broke the hug.
“Are you ready to give birth to our baby out of wedlock? Ain’t you scared of what your family will think of you? What about your reputation and we’ve come this far, so let’s get over with it. I have to go to Josie’s birthday party” Caleb said seriously and held Olivia’s hand as they head to the receptionist nurses.
“Isn’t that Caleb?” Rowan (Linda’s dad) asked as he head out of the elevator.
He had a glance at the wall clock and he gasped shortly.
“Oh no, I’m running late for Josie’s birthday” He uttered out.
“Have a good night doc” Some younger doctors regretted him with a bow.

Rowan got to the Chen’s building immediately after getting off work.
The party has begun already. Josie was given so many gifts by her friends and relatives.
“Wow, who is this? You’re looking so beautiful Josie. Your dress looks very pretty. Happy birthday Josie. Here’s a present for you, I hope you like the gift” Rowan said with a smile after placing his gift on the gift spot.
“Of course uncle. Thank you for coming uncle” Josie said with a smile.
“Rowan you made it” Jemma said smiling as she joined them.
“Jemma what happened to you? Why do you have a cast on? Fanny why didn’t you call me over to have a look at her arm?” Rowan asked worriedly and everyone smiled.
“Rowan you’re so nice and I know how busy you get on weekdays. It was wise of Fanny for not calling you. Anyways don’t worry, I’m fine now” Jemma convinced.
“Dad I thought you wouldn’t make it today. Did you change your schedule at the hospital?” Linda asked.
“Of course, I had to. It’s Josie’s birthday after all” Rowan grinned.
“Even Rowan made it to Josie’s birthday regardless of his busy schedule but where’s Caleb? I can’t seen him around?” Fanny asked sarcastically and Jemma pinched her.
“Ouch!” Fanny winced.
“He would be here okay. I guess, you had a lot to take care of than I thought” Jemma chuckled awkwardly.
“Josie come with me. We still have lots of guests to tend to. Let’s go” Linda said as she held Josie’s hand and they left.
“Linda, aunt never seize to taunt my dad. Like what it really necessary for her to say something like that in front of the both of us” Josie said with a frown.
“Josie we know the truth hurts sometimes, although my mum lost the timing to say that. But it’s not like mum was wrong, we’re all waiting for uncle to arrive so you can cut your cake. He’s the only one who hasn’t wished you a happy birthday yet” Linda whined.
“Linda stop it!” Josie half yelled then walked away but Linda followed her
“Josie, listen to me. You can’t be unhappy on your birthday. It’s not worth it, Aunt tried so hard to make it a special day for you so don’t ruin it with a frown and we’re family that’s why we only tell ourselves the truth. Anyways bro said Zed will be arriving soon, let’s anticipate for his arrival” Linda said excitedly and Josie screamed joyfully.
“I can’t believe they’re both fan girling Zed” Eli scoffed as he watched the both of them from a distance.

“Sis don’t be upset with me. You know I don’t really mean what I say sometimes” Fanny fidgeted holding Jemma’s hand.
“Fanny, why would you say that in front of Josie and Linda? You know so well how patiently Josie is waiting for her dad so what was the need for saying that” Jemma scolded.
“I’m sorry okay, Caleb just annoys me sometimes and I just can’t help it” Fanny said in low tone and Rowan hugged her from behind.
“Jemma, I kinda saw Caleb at the hospital he was with a lady so I won’t really say I saw him. I can’t be sure about that, it might be someone else” Rowan said and Jemma looked at him with seriousness.
“You saw Caleb at the hospital with a lady?” Jemma asked curiously and Rowan giggled awkwardly.
“Don’t take it seriously okay, I know how busy Caleb is at the hospital so I shouldn’t have assumed such a thing. Anyways, I will go get myself a drink” Rowan said politely then left to get a drink.
“Jemma do you think it’s something serious? What if Caleb got hurt and that’s why he wasn’t taking his call” Fanny cut in through Jemma’s thought.
“But why was a lady with him? Rowan said maybe he’s not the one. I will go check up on the food” Jemma said and went upstairs.
The pregnancy test she saw at Caleb’s office keep flashing on her head.
What was that exactly? It’s almost time for the party to get over with and Caleb isn’t even here yet. He didn’t even wish Josie a happy birthday this morning? Jemma thought in her head deeply with her hand crossed on her chest.

~~~RUBY’S BEDROOM **
Ruby sat on her study chair while Weston sat on the little cute sofa in her room as she narrated her day to her dad.
“What a coincidence Ruby? I think you should apologize to that guy when next you see him. You didn’t pay for his cake so it’s only fair you apologize to him” Weston said slowly and Ruby pouted.
“Dad I wanted to pay for it but he bluntly refused my offer and what the nerve he got to think I was hitting on him” Ruby scoffed and Weston laughed.
“What a funny young man. Was he that rich to ignore you?” Weston teased.
“Dad!”
“Relax okay, this is the first time someone is ignoring you so I’m quite surprised but anyways sweetie that doesn’t mean your stay here wouldn’t be beautiful. I decided to let us come back home because I believe you would love it here” Weston assured and Ruby sighed deeply.
“I believe you dad and tomorrow onwards, I will do everything I’ve always dreamed of doing. First I will apply for my favorite club in school” Ruby said excitedly and Weston shook his head as he chuckled.
“I have no idea why you find drama club exciting. It’s just an exhausting club, it will keep you quite busy in college” Weston complained and Ruby sucks her teeth.
“It’s not like that at all Dad and I find the club so much fun so I’m definitely joining the club” Ruby said defiantly.
“Good luck with that sweetie. Anyways you should study some more before going to bed. I need to go through some documents at work as well” Weston said as he stood up from the sofa.
“Alright dad” Ruby said with a smile.
“Don’t forget to switch off your lights ok” Weston reminded and Ruby nodded.
He left for his room and sat at his study as he went through the files on his desk.
“Jemma Chen, still beautiful as always. She doesn’t recognize me at all” Weston uttered with a sad smile as he looked at his contract with GG diamonds.

10:30pm…..
Weston stretched his arms as he turned off his laptop.
“I think that will be all for today” Weston yawned staring at his wristwatch and just then a call came in through his phone.
“Yes Gabriel, it’s been awhile. Have you returned to Seoul?” Weston asked over the phone.
“Not yet but soon. I’m having troubles convincing my mum to accept my girlfriend but that aside. Caleb is cheating on Jemma, did you know?” Gabriel asked.
“You’re still so nosy as always. Do you still have tabs on Jemma and Caleb?” Weston shrugged.
“Why don’t you sound surprise? Did you know about this all along. Considering everything Caleb did to you just so he could be with Jemma, I can’t believe he’s cheating on her now. What a jerk!” Gabriel cursed.
“Gab let it go.. it’s all in the past now. I really don’t care about what goes on in her life anymore so it would be best if you ignore the updates from your sources”
“What are you even saying? Weston your best friend for goodness sake do you want me to let that slide” Gabriel said getting furious.
“Relax okay… You shouldn’t ruin her happy home. She has kids now and a happy family. Don’t ruin that” Weston said on a low tone.
“Weston who are you lying to? You obviously know things aren’t going well with Jemma”
“Gabriel I really don’t care anymore. Believe me” Weston lied.

CHEN’S BUILDING**
The party was over, all the guests have gone home.
Jemma is lying next to Josie on her bed.
“Happy birthday sweetie on behalf of your Dad” Jemma said calmly and Josie smiled.
“Thanks mum. Thanks a lot mum for the party, you made my day very special. I can’t thank you enough mum. All thanks to you I didn’t feel Dad’s absence. Thank you so much mum” Josie said with a wide smile.
“Stop thanking me already. I will do anything for you sweetie. Get some rest, you had a busy day” Jemma said as she got off the bed and Josie nodded.
“Good night mum”
“Good night sweetie” Jemma said and turned off the lights before leaving the room.
She went out of the room and stood at the door for some seconds and she heard Josie sobbing silently.
You’re a big girl now sweetie, you held up for too long. Jemma said in her head sadly as she head to her room.
Caleb sneaked into their room when Jemma was in the changing room.
“Are you just getting off work now?” Jemma asked coldly as she came out of the changing room and Caleb lost balance.
“Jemma believe me, I tried…” He couldn’t finish his sentence when a paper fell out of his pocket.
It was same pregnant scan Jemma saw at his office.
Jemma picked it up slowly as she stared at it.
“Who is she?” Jemma asked coldly as she glared at him and cold sweat ran through his chin.
