CHAPTER 33
~~ STILL AT WESTON’S BUILDING**
“I’m still waiting for your answer Eli” Weston reminded and Ruby stared at Eli nervously.
So what if he does have feelings for me. This will only make him have a second thought and what if he doesn’t, that will hurt my pride s bit. Ruby said in her head.
“I…” Eli couldn’t finish up his statement when Ruby cut in.
“Dad, what are you even saying. There’s no way Eli and I will find ourselves in a situation where we will fall for each other.
We’re just friends and that’s not going to change. Right Eli?” Ruby said with a awkward smile.
“Of course Ruby. Sir, Ruby and I are just friends. Nothing more nothing less. You don’t have to worry about our friendship, I’m the type who doesn’t believe in dating or stuff like that” Eli bluntly uttered and Ruby stared at him almost in tears as his words unknowningly got through her. Weston noticed her reaction to Eli’s words.s
I see. So it’s a one thingy. Ruby you shouldn’t be taking this painful path. Eli spoke out his mind and I don’t think it’s in your favor.
There’s only one way to stop you from embarking on this path and that’s making my relationship with Jemma official.
“I will ask you guys again just so we don’t misunderstand anything in the nearest future.
Are you guys really not into each other?” Weston asked staring at the both of them.
“Rest assured sir” Eli said with a half smile.
“Ruby” Weston called out waiting for her reply.
“Of course not dad but just so you know Dad, Eli will be tutoring me for the time being so I wouldn’t be coming back home early” Ruby informed and Weston raised his eyebrows.
“Eli you agreed to tutor Ruby? That’s so nice of you Eli but can’t you tutor her during daytime.
Why does it have to be late at night?” Weston asked in a protective tone.
“Why Dad? You’ve never had a problem with Mack tutoring me back in the states” Ruby cut in sharply.
“Ruby, you can’t say stuff like this so easily. You know exactly what happened when you insisted on having night lessons. It didn’t end well and you know it” Weston raised his voice.
“Dad, Mack is Mack and Eli is Eli so I would appreciate it if you don’t compare the both of them” Ruby said getting pissed then went to her room angrily.
Eli was still lost with what just happened.
I had no idea she loses her cool too. Eli said in his head quite surprised with Ruby’s attitude.
“She never listens” Weston groaned.
“Sir who’s Mack?” Eli asked curiously.
“He’s a guy , Ruby had an issue with back in the states.
Anyways, I can’t stop you from tutoring Ruby since I trust you’re a good guy and you wouldn’t harm her but no enclosed tutoring and lessons.
Always stay in open space if possible at libraries and cafes” Weston instructed strictly.
“Noted sir. Sir can I have a word with Ruby?” Eli requested.
“Of course, go ahead” Weston nodded and Eli stood up and left for Ruby’s room.
Weston picked up his phone from the table and put a call across to Jemma.
“What do you want? Do you still have anything else to say?” Jemma fired immediately taking the call.
“I’m sorry Jemma. Can we go out tonight? I have something important I want to share with you” Weston said with full determination.
“How important is it?” Jemma asked sarcastically.
“To show you how important it is, I might come over to your home to say it to you” Weston said.
“You don’t have to go that far. Where are we meeting? Send me the address” Jemma ordered then hung up.
Weston smiled.
LOST PASSION : CHAPTER 31-40
Josie and Linda was done with their mathematics lessons which was taught by their senior in school, Randy.
“Josie, you’re more like a genius in mathematics but I find it amazing that you still join lessons” Randy said with a smile.
“It’s fun, hanging out during weekends with my fellow classmates and like the saying goes, practice makes perfect” Josie said jovially.
“I don’t think mathematics is fun. You’re just a weird nerd trying to hang out” Linda said sarcastically and Josie grinned.
“Josie do you really think mathematics is fun or there’s a story behind it?” Randy asked.
“My dad’s a mathematician, he taught me basically all I know about mathematics. I used to admire him a lot for that”
“Uncle was indeed a genius in mathematics, he never saw it as a big deal which really creeps me out.
How on earth am I supposed not to see mathematics as not a big deal” Linda groaned frustratedly.
“Linda, you see everything as a big deal. You just need to study harder, we’re cousins at least get some traits from me” Josie teased and Linda pushed her lightly.
“Randy, we plan on stopping at the game house before heading home. Will you mind to join us” Linda asked.
“What are you saying Linda? Randy is quite busy with his studies and I don’t it’s advisable for us to steal his private evening hours too” Josie cut in sharply.
“But I don’t…”
“It’s okay senior. You don’t have to lie to make Linda feel better.
I understand so have a lovely evening and thanks for the lesson” Josie said jovially as she grabbed Linda’s hand.
“Bye Randy” Linda smiled and they ran along playfully.
