“Weston I’m fine. Look it doesn’t even hurt that much” Jemma said as she noticed Weston’s expression.
“Come here” Weston said and grabbed Jemma into an embrace.
“As long as I’m still breathing, I won’t let any harm come your way.
You won’t lose a single hair not under my watch” Weston assured and pecked Jemma’s shoulders.
Jemma broke the hug and grabbed Weston by his collar as she placed her lips on Weston’s and he shut his eyes.
They had a passionate kss filled with emotions.
Butterflies running around in Jemma’s stomach as she enjoyed the delicious flavor from Weston’s lips.
After the kss, Weston smiled widely he couldn’t hide his excitement it was written all over his face as Jemma blushed hard, avoiding eye contact with him.
“I will get going now” Jemma smiled.
“Wait a minute” Weston said and got down from the car. He ran to the other side and opened the car door for Jemma as he helped her out of the car.
“Have a beautiful night rest Jemma. See you tomorrow at the office” Weston said and Jemma nodded with a smile.
She went into the building with a wide smile then turned around waving at Weston as he entered his car to drive off.
“Go in. I don’t think I will feel at ease, not seeing you go in” Weston said.
“Alright. Take care and drive safe okay. Give me a call when you get home” Jemma said and Weston nodded.
Jemma went in and Weston drove off.
She got in to the sitting room and turned the lights on so she can go get herself a glass of water.
“Mum you’re just getting back?” Eli asked sluggishly with a very sleepy eyes.
“Ahhh!” Jemma screamed in shock as she held her chest in fright.
“Eli what are you doing out here, sitting on the dark?” Jemma asked catching her breath.
“I couldn’t sleep so I decided to come wait till you get back Mum. How was your date?” Eli asked in a sleepy tone.
“Come on Eli, it’s obvious you’re sleepy. How can you lie so brightly at night? Come, I will take you to your room.
I’m guessing someone annoyed you and that’s why you’re finding it hard to close your eyes” Jemma said and helped Eli up.
They went to his room and Jemma lay Eli on his bed.
“Whatever upsets you, is it really worth stealing your beautiful night rest. If the problem is too big to handle then leave it all for tomorrow.
I’m pretty sure, you will get the answers you’re looking for so close your eyes and free your mind” Jemma said caressing his hair gently and Eli slowly closed his eyes.
“Mum you haven’t done this for me in so many years. Should I be grateful you got divorced to Dad? Our mother is finally coming back to us.
Mum I think your date is a pretty nice man” Eli said slowly then dozed off.
Jemma smiled on seeing that.
“Thank you so much son, for saying that. It means a lot” Jemma smiled as she covered Eli with his duvet.

NEXT DAY….
HANKUK UNIVERSITY (HUFS) ***
Eli’s in class already. With his eyes fixed on his phone as he impatiently waited for Ruby’s call or text.
“Eli Chen will you mind telling us the statistics of book keeping?” The lecturer in class asked but Eli was absent minded.
“Eli Chen!” The lecturer called out loudly and Eli shrunk in fear as he raised his face up.
“Sorry sir, I didn’t get you” Eli asked putting himself together.
“Where’s your mind? Are you having relationship issues with your girlfriend?” The lecturer asked and students boost into laughter.
Eli smiled awkwardly.
“You’re one of my best students in this class so I would spare you this time.
Tell us more on the statistics of book keeping” The lecturer said and Eli exhaled sharply before answering.
I honestly didn’t grab a thing he taught in class today but all thanks to reading ahead of the class, I didn’t get boosted. Eli said in his head with a smile.
Ruby is a distraction even when she’s not here. I can’t stop thinking about her. Eli groaned in his head.
Classes where over. Eli headed out of the lecture hall. He had a glance at the spot, Ruby normally waited for him but she wasn’t there.
Did she really give up? I knew she was bluffing yesterday. I can’t believe she moves on so fast. Eli muttered in his mind with a frown.

He went out of the department block and Ruby ran out from nowhere and jumped on him, hugging him tightly.
“Ruby!” Eli called out in shock.
“Were you thinking of me? You thought I wouldn’t show up right?” Ruby asked jovially and Eli scoffed.

“Let them watch. I told you I can do silly things just to get you” Ruby said and Eli’s heartbeat raced in milliseconds as Ruby’s words gave him butterflies.
