Axel faced the class. “Who the hell did this to me?”.
The class remained silent.
I chuckled quietly. “He looks like an angry troll”. I whispered to Jessy.
“A troll? I thought he was a pixie”. Jessy said.
“He’s an angry troll who can also be a pixie”. I said while Jessy laughed.
“What did you just say?”.
I looked at the front of the class to see Axel shooting daggers at me with his eyes.
“Did you just call me a troll?”. He yells.
“She didn’t but i just did. Troll king”.
A voice said at the back mockingly. Everybody laughed at the statement.
I turned to see Audrey crossing her arms with her feet on the table.
Axel frowns. “How dare you?”.
“Uhm, excuse you, we were having a class before you came in looking like that”. Lily said sharing a high-five with Audrey.
I chuckled inwardly. These two are quite dangerous.
“You are passing your boundaries”. Axel growls.
“You are passing your boundaries”. Lily mimics Axel while the whole class laugh.
“Stop it or else__”.
Audrey cut in. “Or else what? You gonna kick her out?”.
Lily scoffs. “Oh please, he can’t do more than a dead rat”.
Axel frowns visibly glaring at both of them clenching his fists.
“Mr. Matt. Are we having history or not?”. I ask.
“Yes. Of course”. The teacher turns towards Axel. “Sir please”.
“Keep it to yourself”. Axel faces me. “You will pay for this”. He said walking out.
The class laugh as he walked out with his pink hair.
“Well lets continue from where we_”. The bell immediately rings interrupting Mr. Matt. He grians taking his books as he walked out out of class.
Jessy and I stood up along with other students heading to our various classes.
“Do you know who pranked Axel?”. Jessy whispers as we stopped by her locker.
“Maybe i do. Maybe i don’t”.
She nudges me. “Come on. Ash. Please”.
“It was her boyfriend. Xander”. Audrey said coming over.
Jessy shrieked. “OMG!! You guys have started dating”.
“What? No … He’s not … He’s not my .. my boyfriend”. I stuttered.
Audrey winks at me. “He will be soon”.
“Okay thats enough”. I face Jessy. “What class are you having now?”.
“Arts”. She groans. “Gosh!! I’m done for”.
“I have Arts too”. Audrey says.
I looked around. “Where’s Lily?”.
“She’s fond of disappearing after first period”. Audrey explained. “She hates attending classes, she prefers … Sports”.
I nodded.
Jessy closes her locker. “What about you, Ashley. What subject do you have?”.
“Mathematics”. I said tiredly.
Audrey smiles. “That’s great. Xander has mathematics”.
“You’ve got to be kidding me”. I muttered.
“OMG!! An oppurtunity for both of you to get close”.
“No one is getting close here. Not me, or Xander. Okay, got that? I hope you did”.
“Hey. Why are you guys here? Classes started 5 minutes ago”. Xander said behind me.
I’m so nervous right now. I can’t even turn to look at him.
“Ashley said she can’t walk to Maths class alone”. Audrey started.
My eyes widen. “Wait. I didn’t_”.
“Maybe you should go with her”. Audrey continues.
“Wait. Guys”.
They quickly ran off.
Bitches.
I turn around seeing Xander.
Okay Ashley You can do this.
“So .. Axel created a tantrum in your class not quite long ago”. Xander said as we walk thriugh the hallways.
“How did you know about that?”.
He waves his phone. “School blog”.
I chuckled. “Well yeah he did but Audrey and Lily managed to set him off”.
He smiled. “Classic Lily”.
“Is she always like that?”. I ask curiously.
We got to Mathematics class and he pushed the door open while we entered.
“Alexander, likely of you to come late”. The teacher noticed me. “And Ashley? First time of you coming late to my class”.
“I’m sorry about that”. I apologized.
I walked over to the seats at the back noticing the scornful stares I received from the girls.
I sat down nervously while Xander sat beside me.
He places his palm on mine. “Are you okay?”.
“Yeah. But why are they looking at me that way”.
“Just ignore”. He said.
The Mathematics teacher, Mr. Banns continued teaching.
“I can see that you all are not listening. So impromptu test now”. Mr. Banns says.
Everyone groans as they bring out a sheet of paper. Soon, the test started and everyone began writing.
I looked at the questions. Quite difficult. It was just one question but very complicated.
I looked at Xander and saw he was soling the questions. What the hell!! Same questions that proved difficult.
I sighed and dropped my pen.
I just failed Mathematics.
A crumpled piece of paper was passed to me. I unfolded it and realised it was the answers. Xander’s handwriting.
I smiled and began writing. Soon, we were done and the bell rang.
“Thanks”. I said to Xander as we walked through the hallways.
He nodded. “I have health. What class do you have?”.
“Free period”.
He turns to go but he stops and faces me. “So you just gonna pretend like you didn’t kiss me this morning?”.
I was stunned. “Huh?”.
“Nevermind”. He said walking away.
I sighed turning back. I’m not yet sure of my feelings. I do like Xander really much but love? I don’t know.
I headed straight to the school garden walking through the deserted hallways. Free periods are always boring. I stopped when i saw Axel and his group of friends.
“Look what we have here. Ashley”. Axel says.
Before i can look around or figure out where to go, i’m grabbed from behind and my arms are held behind my back.
“Sup babe”. Axel smirks.
I struggle to get out of their grip but his two friends that are holding me won’t loosen their grip.
“Let me go”. I say quickly.
“You are in a rush”. He chuckles. “Be calm”.
“Should we go?”. One of his friends, Ryan asks.
“Yeah. Make sure no one follows us”. He looks at me and smile. “Lets go somewhere more quiet”.
I’m quickly dragged off to an emlty class-room. He shoved me and i back up against the wall.
“When I said i’ll get you for that, i wasn’t really joking”.
Just Ignore him. Ashley, ignore.
“I just want to know”. Axel grins. “Are you really that naive? Didn’t you pick up on the fact that i was playing you?”.
“You are such a fucking Asshole”.
Axel’s eyes darken and before i can react, he pins me to the wall.
“Now you listen up”. He growls in my face. “I dated your stupid ass and i’m going to get something back”.
He smirked. “Do you know how annoying you were? You never gave it up. I tried but there was always something in the way”.
I closed my eyes. You can’t let him get to you. Ashley. Find a way to get out of here.
“You are so beautiful”. He runs his hand down my arm. “Maybe I should just take it”.
I struggle to get out of his grip. You can do this. I struggle more.
He leans in closer. “Where do you think you going?”.
“Let me go”. I plead. “You can have Kathryn, please”.
“No can do”. He moved his hands under my shirt.
“Help!!”. I scream as loud as i can.
“Shut up”. Axel mutters as he tries to unclip my bra.
I close my eyes but before he can get any further, he’s suddenly pulled away.
I open my eyes to see him groaning underneath .. Xander?
“You scumbag”. Xander yells kicking him in the side.
Axel’s buddies rushes to help but he lashes out punching Ryan on the jaw while the others scatters leaving Ryan and Axel.
Xander ushers me out quickly dragging me out by the wrist walking down the hallways before stopping at a locker.
“What the hell were you thinking?”. Xander yells.
I flinched. “I didn’t know i was gonna see them. I was going to the garden”.
“Are you really this stupid? You didn’t plan on seeing them? You know Axel has his eyes on you yet you wander off during free period”.
“I didn’t wander off”. I protested.
“You are just so annoying”.
“Well nobody asked you to come save me so stop complaining”.
“You yelled out help”. He points out.
“Oh really? Then why are you yelling at me? Why do you always act all protective around me?”.
“Ash_”.
I cut him off. “I need to know why you always act that way whenever you see me around Axel, i know you hate him but seriously? You get all angry and worked up if i’m too close to Axel. What the heck is your_”.
He shuts me off a kiss. I hastily held his head when i noticed he was about to pull away after slightly planting his lips on mine. I locked his lips on mine and kissed him passionately especially his lower lips. Then he pulls away.
“This doesn’t answer my question. I just wanna know why__”.
“I love you”.
“What?”.
“I love you Ashley. I’m in love with you”.
