Episode 43
Xander stops. “You are obviously are or at least you are stupid enough to think he loves you”.
“I am not stupid”. I stomp my foot.
How can he say things like that?
“Thats what I thought but after what you did back then_kssing him and all that sh!t. It must be true”.
I frown. “Stop it”.
Xander scowls. “It doesn’t matter. I don’t care about any of this”. He spins and walks away again.
But I want him to care.
“Where are you going?”. I call after him.
“Away from you”.
I was stunned.
I ran over to him walking by his side but he didn’t say anything.
He’s back to his cold expression.
“What about the Pizza?”. I ask.
No reply.
“Guess that was expected”. I say quietly.
Xander and I got to my house finally.
I knocked the gate.
James, the gate-keeper unlocked the gate and we entered.
We went to the front door.
Our fingers reached for the doorbell at the same time.
He quickly withdrew his fingers cleaning them on his shirt.
I scowled. “Seriously?”.
The door immediately opened revealing Adrian.
He left the door and we went in quietly.
I met my Mum and Dad sitting with boxes of Pizzas around.
My Mum stood up smiling. “Hey. You are back”.
I smiled. “I was only gone for__”.
But she bypassed me heading towards Xander hugging him.
Seriously? Did she not see me standing here?
I ran to sit with my Dad. “Dad. So how many days are you__”.
“Alexander. Are the bruises getting better?”. Dad said interrupting me.
I scoffed. “I might as well be a ghost”.
“You could be but I would miss you”. Ian said behind me.
“How adorable”. I said mockingly.
Adrian slings his arm around me. “So you wanna tell me how things went between you and Xander?”.
“Nothing. Absolutely nothing”.
I quickly went to the kitchen.
But of course, Adrian followed me. “Nothing? I mean there was silence throughout?”.
I remembered the silent treatment Xander gave me. “He’s so cold and so cold”.
Adrian chuckled. “He’s nice if you really get to know him”. He said opening the refrigerator.
I paused. “So you will be okay with it if Xander and I are in a relationship”.
Adrian closed the refrigerator loudly. “Sh!t. Do you like him?”.
I made a face . “Yuck. Why would I want to date him?”.
He sighed in relief. “Good”.
“Lets just say, maybe probably I get to like Xander, would you like maybe allow me to date him?”. I ask.
He shrugged. “You don’t like him and thats what I like to hear”.
He turned to me. “Why are you asking about him all of a sudden? You’ve never noticed him”. He pointed out.
Wait! Why AM i asking?
Maybe because he was there for me when Axel left me?
Or maybe he was the one who comforted me and dried my tears?
Or maybe i like him?
I shrugged the last thought off.
I can’t possibly like Xander. I mean, Xander is cute and all that but .. I don’t know.
I can’t possibly like Xander that way?
What if i do?
Does he like me too?
Ugh .. I’m so confused.
“Sis .. Sis .. Ash”. I heard Ian say repeatedly.
“Ashley”. I jolted out of my thoughts when I heard that voice.

I headed to the kitchen. I figured thats where Adrian and Ashley would be.
I went there and I was totally.
I saw Ashley staring into space while Adrian kept calling her name.
I walked over to them. “Ashley”.
She immediately snapped her head towards me. “Aha! You finally talked to me! I knew you would”. She said giggling.
“Okay?”.
“What is she talking about?”. Adrian asked confused.
I shrugged.
“I’m going to bed”. Adrian’s Mum said from the living room.
“So what do we do?”. I ask Adrian as we go to the Living room.
He plopped on the couch. “I don’t know”.
“How about we watch a movie?”. I suggested.
“I’m in”.
I turn to see Ashley.
I had totally forgotten she was there.
I looked at Adrian.
“No way. Its past your bedtime, Go upstairs”. Adrian commanded.
Ashley huffed angrily. “I didn’t feel like watching a movie anyways”.
She headed to the big curved stairs leading up to the large hallways.
“I love you”. Adrian yelled after her.
“I love you too”. Her voice rang out softly.
I imagined her saying that to me.
I smiled thinking of it.
“What are you smiling at?”. Adrian asks staring at me suspiciously.
“Umm. Nothing”.
“I gotta ask. You don’t really like my sister, do you?”.
I shook my head negatively. “Nope”.
“Good. I don’t want you or any other guy around Ashley”. He sounded really serious. “You know what I did to Axel”.
“If it comes to my sister. I would forget you are my best friend because my loyalty lies with my Ashley”.He added.
I faked a laugh. “Seriously? Adrian. You know i rarely take a liking to girls”.
Adrian’s face looked worried. “I know but I just want to make sure Ashley doesn’t get heartbroken twice”.
“I don’t like her”. I reassured him. “She’s annoying”.
I can’t believe I just said that about Ashley.
Adrian snickered. “Best word to describe her”.
~Ashley~
I woke up to a Adrian yells.
“Sis, its past 7. Get up”. I heard him yell from outside my room.
“I don’t wanna”. I mumbled covering my ears with my fluffy pillow.
I immediately felt a heavy weight on me.
I gasped. “Ian. Get off me”. I shouted struggling to get up.
He finally got up smirking.
I pulled the covers off. “Isn’t that an adorable way to wake someone up”. I said sarcastically.
He grinned. “I also got woken up this way”.
“You just woke up? Then why were you yelling?”.
“I don’t know”.
“You don’t know?! You are definitely cr@zy. You need a thorough check-up”. I told him.
He chuckled in return. “You do know i’m older than you right?”.
I smiled. “Just go”.
He grinned walking out.
I headed to the bathroom to freshen up.
Minutes later, i came out refreshed. I dried myself with a towel and applied pomade.
I went to my wardrobe staring at it. I have a lot of clothes in it but I don’t even wear them all.
I chewed the insides of my lips.
What to wear .. What to wear.
I picked a gray sweater that says ‘Bad’ , grey ripped jeans. After wearing my clothes, i wore my white low cut converse.
I grabbed my red and black Jansport backpack slinging it over my shoulder walking out of my room.
I walked through the large hallways heading to the stairs. I decided to try something new. Adrian does it all the time.
I looked at the railings. Its not that hard to climb. I climbed it carefully positioning myself.
“Here I go”. I shouted sliding down the railings.
Oh My God!
I’m going too fast.
I almost landed on the floor but a hand drew me back.
I looked up to see Xander holding me.
“What were you thinking? You could have hurt yourself”.
I rolled my eyes. “Oh really? I thought you weren’t talking to me”.
“You are my oxygen”. He replied sweetly.
Awwn! That was so cute!
No. Ashley snap out of this.
I made to withdraw myself but he pulled me back even closer.
I stared at his face. He looks so cute with his adorable oceanic blue eyes.
I noticed he wasn’t staring at my face, he was actually staring at my lips.
I widened my eyes in realization.
Xander wants to kss me.
He cupped my cheeks placing his lips on mine.
I hesitated before returning the kss.
I guess we were so caught up in it we didn’t notice footsteps.
“What’s going on here?”.
