Success call came on my phone and I picked up,
“Arrived? I asked.
“Yes, but I don’t understand what they are saying in their mouth, he replied.
“What do you mean? Are they speaking Turkish? I asked.
“With what they are telling me, they may not move immediately with what I’m seeing, he replied.
“Never mind come back, we will handle it our own way, I said dropping the call and looked at Abigail and she smiled.
“Do you think you’re going to succeed? Never! She shouted and I put my hand at the back of my waist with a face like I’m bringing out a gun and great fear held her.
“You know I won’t blink my eyes to kill you, you better cooperate or else it will 50/50. Your mom kills my dad, and I’ll kill you. You are going to take me to your mom or else your body won’t be found, you should know 6+ years with a mad person is no joke, you don’t know who I am or do you? I harshly said and she shook her head fearfully.
“Are we now understood? Any foul play from you, you will greatly regret it. Now take this phone and call your mom, tell her you want to see her this morning, and let me not perceive any fear or shaking in your voice, do that quick!, I said giving her the phone and she shakily dialed her mom number.
“Abigail? My step mom voice came on phone.
“Good morning mom, she greeted.
“Morning, why is your voice that way? She asked and Abigail looked at me.
“I had a bad dream mom, she replied.
“Oh when will you stop behaving childish? It was only a dream, she said.
“How is dad now? Abigail asked.
“Still alive, she replied.
“I’ll be coming to see him this morning, Abigail said.
“So finally you’re coming huh? Whatever you’re always welcome, she said.
“Okay bye, Abigail said and I dropped the call myself.
“Nice one sweetheart, are you hungry? I asked but she gave no reply.
“Your choice, I said and brought out snacks from the bag for I and my mom as we waited for Success.
Minutes later he arrived and we were already dressed up,
“What next? Success whispered to me.
“She’s taking us down there herself, i made her talked with her mom. Wassup with the police? I asked back.
“They said they will meet us there when we are sure of the location something like that and they gave me their number, he replied.
“Just imagine, i said disappointed.
” but what if something happens out there? He asked.
“Let’s be positive for once, I said and he took me to the bathroom.
“Purity stay with your mom here alright, I’ll try handle things over there, I’m scared, he said and I rolled my eyes.
“Please don’t start, you always make me look like a weakling but we need to be together in this fight, you can’t do it on your own and I am not staying back, I said and left him.
“Mom you’ll be here, I said and she stood up shaking her head.
“Mom don’t you understand? You can’t come with us, I said.
“No, she said and Success came out looking at me.
“We will all go then, I said and raised Abigail from where she sat.
“You will act cool till you get to the car, don’t forget what I told you and don’t push me to the wall, I said and opened the door for her to go out first while I crossed my hand on her shoulder smiling at her just to cover up.

We got to the car and drove off, and inside of me I was scared.
I can’t tell what we may face there and we are not armed or expecting any encouraging backups from the police neither. But I had to keep up with my brave look to influence Abigail if not she may lead us to a trap.
“It there, Abigail said pointing at a building and it was fenced with gate.
“Is there a gateman? Success asked and she nodded.
“Good, I will horn at the gate and you are going to tell the gateman to open up okay, Success said and she nodded.
My heart was beating fast as he horned on the gate twice and a guy peeped at us flashing on us a torchlight.
“Its me open up, Abigail said and he opened up which Success drove in and parked and I looked at Abigail.
I closed my eyes as Abigail who sat in front with Success opened up first to go out and I held my mom hand,
“Stay here please, I said putting on a face cap and she shook her head.
“Mommy please, just stay here for me, I said going out also and closed the door.
Abigail opened the door and rubbed her hands on the wall switching on the light and my step mom came out.
“Why this early? And who are they? She asked.
“Uhmmm I brought a doctor to check on dad, Abigail replied and she rolled her eyes.
“Are you crazy? Tell them to go now I don’t need them, My step mom said.
“But…..’not another word from you, tell them to go now before I’ll kick them out myself, she said cutting her daughter short.
“And why should i? I asked and removed my face cap.
“Purity! Abigail what’s this! She shouted.
“Mom I’m sorry they threatened Me, she said and Success put his hand at his back belt,
“Don’t even move if you don’t want your brain on the floor, Success said.
“Your hands up now! I shouted and she raised her hands up and went backwards slowly as I approached her,
“What did you do with my dad? I asked.
“So you’ll do with? You’ve turned to a criminal now huh? She asked.
“I’m going to repeat the question, don’t dare me, I said.
“Leave us alone please, he’s upstairs, Abigail shouted.
“Take us to him, I said snatching her phone and threw it on the wall,
“How dare you! Eunice shouted.
“Now move! Move! I shouted pushing her and Success pushed Abigail in front also as they led the way while we followed behind.
My step mom opened a room and I saw my dad lying down and I screamed at the sight of him forgetting what i came for and ran to him.
“Dad, dad open your eyes, daddy! I shouted touching him and he weakly opened his eyes.
“Purity? He slowly called out.
“Dad what did they do to you, what happened? I asked crying on him.
“Purity, he slowly said and it looks as if Success got absent minded with the way i reacted when i saw my dad.
My step mom raised his shirt to take the gun she thought was there but she saw nothing.
“So you had no gun! She shouted and wanted running but he pulled her back.
That was when I realized myself and a serious fight began in the room………. Success with my step mom, I with my step sister.
My step sister was easy for me to deal with but my Step mother was just too powerful……though i learned before i left to stay with my mom, she wanted joining the force but her first pregnancy came after she did all the training.
Looks like she didn’t forget the moves and everything she was taught, and she practiced it all on Success who was just huge for nothing.
I tried helping him but she flew me like tissue and I landed on the floor and had injury on my arm instantly.
Then i saw my mom entered and my heart skipped,
“Mommy get out from here, i shouted on her and my step mom saw her and stood up from Success.
“Wow wow wow! Who do we have here? Hilda is that you? She asked but my mom said nothing.
“You’re not looking bad anyway, long time no see, my step mom continued.
“Mommy get out of here! I shouted and got up but my step mom pushed me and I fell face down and bled through my nose.
‘Purity! Success shouted but my mom was still calm looking at her.
“How do you see your daughter huh? Eunice asked and began to laugh happily.
‘what a lovely reunion, Peter see your family is complete! She shouted throwing her arms wide and turned to look at my dad backing my mom, and that was where my mom held her hair backward and hit her face on the wall.
“Mommy! Abigail shouted and attempted getting up to meet her but i held her on the leg despite the pains i was feeling while i watched my mom beat Eunice up so mercilessly.
“Purity we need to stop your mom before it get too late, Success managed to say.
“Leave her alone, she tried to kill us, I said enjoying the scene but Success ignored me and raised my mom up from Eunice breathing heavily.
“Mommy! Abigail shouted crying as Eunice laid down weakly on the floor and i let go of Abigail to go meet her mother.
My mom raised me up and used her dress to clean the blood on my nose,
“So….sorry,she said and i nodded holding her hand
“Thank you mommy, you just saved us big time, I said and looked at my dad and weakly went to him.
“Purity are you okay? He weakly asked.
“Dad i need to get you out of here, I replied.
“Please go, i don’t want anything bad to happen to you, he said.
“Nothing will happen okay, you need to be treated, I said and i heard Success talking on phone which looks like the police.
“Take your father and leave us alone! Abigail shouted.
“And you will be coming with us, do you think I will let you both go after all the havoc? I shouted on her.
“The police are on their way, Success said.
“Abigail get out from here, Eunice weakly said still lying on the ground.
“They have locked the door mommy please get up, Abigail said and my mom approached my dad but his eyes were closed and i touched his chest,
“He need to go to the hospital, his breathing is getting weak, I said worried.
“They are on their way and we can’t leave until they see things for themselves, Success said.
“How are you feeling? I asked him.
“Don’t worry I’m fine, he replied and i saw a cotton wool and a mirror on the table there.
I took it and tried cleaning the blood i saw on my face and hand and Success phone began to ring,
“Where are you sir? He picked up.
“Almost there, what’s the situation over there? One asked.
“The situation is we are waiting for you and we need to get this Man to the hospital, Success angrily said and dropped the call.
“This is so frustrating! Success shouted and cleaned his mouth.
A horn came on the gate and Success ran out, but surprisingly the gateman already fled and the gate was left open.
Success opened the gate and they drove in,
“So you were serious o, one of the men said as i looked at them through the window but Success didn’t say a word until they arrived in the room.
“Who is the victim here? One of them asked not understanding the scene and Success carefully explained what happened.
“This was what i tried telling you, he concluded.
“Madam get up, see as they beat you until you turn to Okro, he said raising Eunice up.
“They came to my house and attacked me, i am the victim here! Eunice shouted struggling with them.
“Keep quiet, una go still blow this English for station because i dey hungry as you see me so, One of the cops said and they handcuffed Abigail also who poured insults on me.
“Please help me, i need to take him to the hospital, i asked help from one of the police men and we slowly carried my dad to the car.
“Dear go with them okay, I’ll take care of my dad, i said to Success.
“Who will drive? He asked.
“Make i follow them go, one of the men offered to go with us, and we got into the car and took off to the hospital my dad was operated on because the doctor was friendly and looks like a good man to me……
