” Jace, call me Jace ”
His words kept replaying in my head. Huh?
So he has a name? And he wants me to call him by his name when no one does?
” Hmm,. okay! J… Jace ” I stammered as he stared at me without blinking an eye.
” What did you want?” He asked calmly. He’s really changed my view about him for the past few days now.
He’s become more of a gentleman! He doesn’t yell at me, he doesn’t hit me, he doesn’t ask me to str!p, he doesn’t just don’t do anything.
Within this days, I haven’t seen him smoke or drink. He speaks calmly!
Everything about him just changed! If he’s been like this all this while, I would have been happy at least although I am glad he changed for whatever reason that might have made him change.
” Charlotte?” He called and I hummed! I was lost in thought that I totally forgot what I came for!
” Uhhm, it’s.. about my Dad! Hasn’t he called yet? D… did he give you what you wanted?” I asked fearfully!
His eyes turned to me! His facial expression returned to the way it used to be! Cold and scary!
Did I say anything bad? Oh God! Let him not be mad at me please!
I don’t want to go through any punishment! Not anymore!
He stood up making his way towards me as I stood rooted in my place.
I can’t just run! That will be in vain because he will still get hold of me if he wishes!
He came very close to me and stopped. His cold eyes blazing with anger !
” Charlotte” he called coldly but calmly!
” You should know I have changed a lot, you want to know why?” He asked.
I shook my head without saying anything! I mean, what do I say?
” First, I don’t want to ever let you go that’s why I am doing everything to please you. Did you really want to go? ”
” I want you with me Charlotte ”
” That’s because I fking love you ” ……..

I paced to and fro in my room! The treasure is taking years to reach here ! I think I wouldn’t send only Ryan on that errand!
I should get someone closer to the family! A maid or a guard!
The only thing that will bring happiness to me as seeing that I become the richest man in Seattle!
I need that tittle! I fking need it! I needed the documents at first but those fools I gave the job couldn’t do the task!
They disappointed me! That’s not a problem to me anymore!

” Good afternoon Dad” Ryan greeted.
I glared at him and returned my eyes back to the window!
” I know I have disappointed you a lot of times Dad but this time around, I am sure that this plan I have will work ” he said and my head snapped back to him.
” What’s the plan?”

” Chelsea, no please. I can’t loose you to him again not to your boss too. I will figure out something to do believe me”
Dad said while Mum stared at me tearily!
I just have to do this, I have to save my family!
The people I deal with are not to be messed with!
” Don’t worry Dad, I am fine. I can take care of myself. I don’t want to loose any of you too ”
” I will die if you leave Chelsea, p.. please don’t leave ” Mum begged!
That can’t stop me from saving Charlotte and going back to my boss!
I have to! I need to and that’s what I must do!
” I am sorry Dad, I am sorry Mum but I have to ” I left her grip and ran away!
I don’t have enough time, I have to save her before 5 and go back to my boss!
That’s what my destiny is all about! What do I do? Nothing! Absolutely nothing!
I ran out of the house and luckily for me, I saw a cab!
It was like he was waiting for me to show up! That made it easier for me!
Ice pick’s house is miles away from here! Extremely far!
I urged the cab man to drive very fast which he did but what began confusing me was the fact that he took another route!
” Sir? This isn’t the way ” I called out!
” I know, here is the short cut! I guess you are in haste so I decided to take this route in other to get there faster”
He said! That’s so thoughtful of him!
I just hope Charlotte is safe! All I want is her safety!
I don’t have any option!
Ice pick or his boys can’t get hold of me because I know my ways.
Going there is cool but finding her is another!
Wait! Was I that lost that I didn’t see where I was going?
” Where are you taking me to? There’s no road there! It’s a bush ” I yelled but he didn’t answer!
Huh? He kept driving deep inside the bush while I screamed out my lung!
” Drop me down, please! Where are you…”
He stopped the car and turned to me.
He sprayed a powder and my mouth went dry immediately!
My sight became blurry as my eyes became heavy too.
A wave of dizziness covered me! What’s going on?
I rubbed my eyes trying to keep them open but I couldn’t.
It slowly closed on it’s own and I fell on the seats….
