NICHOLAS’S MANSION**
“Doc?”
If not for her voice, they barely recognized her. Her hair which she always tied in a ponytail was finally let down and she brushed it and curled it up.
She was putting on a white shirt fitted in a black palazzo pants with a black long jacket that ended beneath her bvtt.
She was also wearing black heels, complimenting her outfit with some makeup on her face, bringing out her beauty..
“What.. What..” Hailey stuttered.
Before she could form out a complete statement, a thunderous sI.ap landed on her cheek.
Hailey’s face went sideways as she held her cheek, looking back at Doc.
“That is for ever trying to lay your filthy hands on my grandson” She muttered and grabbed her by the collar then pvnched her really hard.
“That’s for trying to kll me!” She said in anger and she kept pvnching her..
“This is for klling my husband!! I hàte you!! How can you betray me this way… You were like a sister to me!!” Doc kept pvnching her, giving her no time to speak
? Someone stop her.. She’s going to kll her
? What’s happening? I’m so confused.
Nicholas and Reagan rushed to her and they succeeded in pulling her off Hailey who was already bI.eeding so bad.
Brittany just stood on her spot, not understanding a dmn thing on what’s happening.
“Doc, stop this.. You’ll kll her” Reagan said.
“Mark this day Hailey.. You’ll pay for this!! You’ll pay for everything!! Everything!!” Doc cried out of anger as she glared at Hailey who was looking at her in fear.
Some people came and took Hailey away. Murmurs began filling in the hall. It took Doc some minutes before she could calm.
She looked up and saw Brittany staring at her with wide eyes. She left Reagan and slowly walked to Brittany.
“Doc.. What,, what were you saying earlier. I don’t understand,, how,, how” Brittany stuttered.
Doc stared at her as a tear slowly slipped off her eyes which she slowly wiped.
A smile spread on her lips and she slowly brought her hands up to touch Brittany’s hair.
She traced her hand down to her cheek as tears fell from her eyes..
“You can’t imagine how difficult it was for me not to take you in my arms and just tell how much I love you..
The number of years we spent under that same cell which I had to act like I don’t care..
The very first day you were brought in our cell, I was devastated. I already knew it was Hailey’s work..
No amount of joy could be compared with how I felt when I held my grandson in my arms, my cute Alex.. My Beauty Cutie,,” Doc cried.
Brittany was already in tears. All these years, they’ve been together all along.. No wonder she always felt this feeling of being protected around her.
“Mom?” Brittany finally found her voice.
Reagan’s eyes widened and Nicholas wasn’t left out. Everyone in the hall looked so shock hearing that..
Kaylee nodded as her tears poured out, tears of joy.
“Yes baby..” Kaylee said.
“Mom.. Mom..” Brittany broke down into uncontrollable tears and hugged her, burying her face in her shoulder.
Kaylee smiled and hugged her back too, rubbing her head.
“I’m sorry… I’m sorry I didn’t tell you all these earlier, if you had found out then I’m sure Hailey would have discovered it one way or the other and everything will be doomed” Kaylee muttered.
“I don’t care.. All I know is that you’re here with me.. Mom!” Brittany’s cried.
Reagan cleaned her own tears and smiled, staring at them. Nicholas smiled too
The crowd began clapping loudly for them, feeling so happy for them.
They broke the hug and smiled. Kaylee suddenly flaunted her hair and smirked proudly.
“But I can really win an award for the best actress of the year” She said and Brittany chuckled.
They held hands and walked to the others..
“So you’re the Nicholas guy” Kaylee said and he nodded while smiling.
“Come here” Kaylee said and hugged Nicholas.
“Take care of my daughter.. I’m warning you, don’t you dare break her heart if not” Kaylee said.
“I won’t. That will be over my d.ead body” Nicholas smiled.
They broke the hug and smiled..
Now that she dressed well and also fixed her face properly, one could see some resemblance to Brittany.
“Mom!” Kaylee exclaimed and rushed to hug Gracie.
“Finally, I can hug you without pretending” Gracie said.
“You knew?” Brittany raised her brows.
“Yeah. But she made me promise not to let you know” Gracie said.
“Hey Alex, Angel!! Come see your grandma” Jessica called
Alex and Angel slowly walked to Kaylee while looking down, feeling really shy.
“Alexander.. Just like my father, no wonder you took his name” Kaylee smiled and kssed his forehead.
“I’m glad we now have a beautiful blonde in our family.” She added, patting Angel’s hair.
Alex and Angel both smiled widely..
The guests began coming to them, so they can have a little talk with Kaylee.
